When Eric Johnson made headlines last September for leaving the Democratic Party for the Republican Party, I sent him a text asking if he’d talk. Johnson, a Dallas native who served six terms in the Texas House before first getting elected mayor, in 2019, didn’t put me on his calendar then, and he later explained that he preferred to speak to national media rather than local and statewide outlets. But when I contacted him again this spring, he was eager to talk—and he didn’t hold back. (snip) TM: Last year you announced that you were switching your party affiliation from...

The Indian Bar Association (IBA) sued WHO Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan on May 25, accusing her in a 71-point brief of causing the deaths of Indian citizens by misleading them about Ivermectin. Point 56 states, “That your misleading tweet on May 10, 2021, against the use of Ivermectin had the effect of the State of Tamil Nadu withdrawing Ivermectin from the protocol on May 11, 2021, just a day after the Tamil Nadu government had indicated the same for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.” https://science.thewire.in/health/tn-revises-protocols-leaves-out-Ivermectin-for-covid-patients/ Advocate Dipali Ojha, lead attorney for the Indian Bar Association, threatened criminal prosecution against...

The Trump Administration on Wednesday evening filed an emergency appeal asking the Supreme Court to intervene after a Biden-appointed judge ordered the Admin to pay $2 billion in foreign contracts by midnight tonight. The DC Circuit Court of Appeals has not yet ruled on Trump’s emergency request for an administrative stay so the DOJ went right to the high court as the midnight deadline looms.

Tulsi Gabbard, the director of US National Intelligence, says she was not informed in advance about the UK government's demand to be able to access Apple customers' encrypted data from anywhere in the world. Earlier this year, the UK government asked for the right to see the data, which currently not even Apple can access. The tech giant last week took the unprecedented step of removing its highest level data security tool from customers in the UK. In a letter, Ms Gabbard said she was seeking further information from the FBI and other US agencies and said, if the reports...

Arch-heretic Kenneth Copeland, the richest prosperity preacher in America, is known for many things. This includes giving false prophecies about COVID being destroyed, throwing someone in a wheelchair to the floor, casting away bald spots in Jesus’ name, running his own bizarro Bible college, claiming God gave prophetess Heidi Baker ‘The United States’, and claiming he once sowed a seed of an airplane to reap an even better airplane. What many people don’t, however, is that he has starred in several movies, including The Treasure of Eagle Mountain, which we have previously cataloged. Another one of his more memorable roles...

Taliban's police force proudly shows off its newly-acquired network of 90,000 CCTV cameras - used to watch over the day-to-day lives of millions of people. "We monitor the entire city of Kabul from here," says Khalid Zadran, a spokesperson for the Taliban police chief, pointing to one of the screens. The authorities say such surveillance will help fight crime, but critics fear it will be used to clamp down on dissent and to monitor the strict morality code enforced by the Islamist Taliban government under their interpretation of Sharia law. The BBC are the first international journalists allowed to see...

The Musk-Deranged and DOGE-Deranged media appear to have stumbled on a new genre of coverage: the horrendous fate that will befall Americans due to DOGE cuts across multiple federal agencies. Far-left filmmaker Michael Moore has complained that America is going to lose the incredible talents of millions of illegal aliens. In a Substack post on Tuesday, Moore said that Trump’s mass deportations may result in the U.S. losing someone who could find a cure for cancer or stop an asteroid from hitting earth. “Who’s really being removed by ICE tonight?” he wrote. “The child who would’ve discovered the cure for cancer in 2046? The 9th-grade nerd who would’ve stopped that Astroid [sic] that’s gonna hit us in 2032?” Moore used the example of Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the son of...

ABOARD THE PRIME MINISTER’S PLANE (AP) — U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer flew to Washington on Wednesday after announcing a big increase in the British defense budget, an investment that he hopes will help persuade U.S. President Donald Trump to maintain support for Ukraine as Washington pushes to end the war. Though Starmer is touting the trans-Atlantic “special relationship” that has endured since World War II, he faces an uncertain reception. Trump has upended decades of U.S. foreign policy during his first weeks in office. Ukraine and its European allies are scrambling to respond after the Trump administration engaged directly...

Frankly, given the Associated Press' track record the past two months, they deserve to be barred from the White House press pool. They're absurdly partisan, biased, and -- frankly -- downright stupid...For transgender students involved in a very special project at a culinary school in Pakistan, there is more to a class than just learning the art of cooking. Neha Malik used to dance at parties and weddings for a living and was, occasionally, a sex worker. Since January, she has been enrolled in a new course for the trans community at the Culinary & Hotel Institute of Pakistan. The...

Washington and Moscow are in early discussions about cooperation in the Arctic, focusing on trade routes and natural resource exploration, according to sources familiar with the matter. The potential collaboration aligns with President Donald Trump's diplomatic efforts to ease tensions with Russia, despite concerns from European and NATO allies. Officials from both nations have identified Arctic energy exploration and shipping lanes as key areas of interest. One U.S. official suggested that fostering Arctic engagement could help drive a wedge between Russia and China, which have strengthened ties in recent years. However, experts caution that such a strategy may have limited...
