President-elect Donald Trump caused quite a stir this week with his comments about the wind industry during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago. Trump compared wind farms to “dropping garbage in a field” and said wind developers are “getting rich” off of government subsidies that the projects receive. Trump also argued that wind energy is the most expensive form of energy, far more expensive than “clean natural gas.” Experts doing full analyses of all the costs associated with putting wind and solar farms on the grid tell Just the News that Trump is correct. Special counsel Jack Smith resigned from the Department of Justice following the completion of his cases against President-elect Donald Trump. Smith resigned on Friday, according to a court filing that was submitted Saturday. Officials at the DOJ urged U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon not to extend the court order issued by her to block Smith's final report, according to Politico. The two cases that Smith oversaw were the so-called classified documents case and the federal election interference case.

They've been ordered to submit to a DOT inspection in Sacramento that's scheduled for 4:30 pm today. If they clear the inspection, they'll THEN be able to drive 400 miles to Pacific Palisades. Talk about "looking a gift horse in the mouth." Then, on the way home, they get inspected again, and if they get red tagged, it's "fix it before you can return." Does liberal stupidity know no bounds? (I'm still waiting for a return call from @OSFM to explain this nonsense)

This 1962 documentary film produced by the Los Angeles Fire Department, describes the historic Bel Air / Brentwood wildfire that started on November 5, 1961 in the Bel Air community of Los Angeles. Over the course of three days, the wind-driven fire destroyed 484 homes, damaged 190 others, and burned over 16,000 acres. Amazingly, there was no loss of life attributable to the blaze. The then $30 million disaster led to new laws in the City of Los Angeles to eliminate wood shingle roofs, and to clear dry brush away from homes. The film is narrated by actor William Conrad.

The same conditions that allowed rape gangs to run rampant in the U.K. are already in place in some U.S. jurisdictions. The United Kingdom’s “grooming gangs” scandal has reentered the public spotlight, largely thanks to X posts by Elon Musk showcasing court transcripts. They detail how groups of men, mainly Pakistani Muslims, groomed and raped thousands of English girls across the country over a decades-long period. The simultaneously infuriating and blood-curdling descriptions of the violations those girls suffered are only compounded by the British authorities’ complicity in and cover-up of the abuse. The first reports on these crimes came out in the early...

Enbridge (NYSE:ENB) is working on plans to boost the capacity of its oil pipeline system in the U.S. if the next Trump administration kicks off a boom in drilling, Bloomberg reported Saturday, citing an interview with Chief Executive Greg Ebel. Ebel was quoted as saying that Enbridge sees a chance to transport “several hundred thousand” more barrels of oil daily in the U.S. in the next two to three years, mostly by optimizing its current system with procedures like looped sections and agents that reduce drag.

Foreign dignitaries, domestic politicians, and billionaire investors alike have flocked to the Palm Beach resort to meet with the incoming president, some of whom have brought with them economic and/or ideological offerings. President-elect Donald Trump’s past few months have been unusually busy for an incoming president and have seen him notch key agenda wins before even returning to office. With President Joe Biden essentially absent from the public eye, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate has taken on the role of a shadow White House, from which he has begun to operate a sort of pre-presidential administration.Foreign dignitaries, domestic politicians, and billionaire investors alike...

Imagine being onboard a giant space vessel traveling through the galaxy in the distant future. You are part of a multi-generational mission meant to colonize another planetary system. The spacecraft you are on is enormous and can support a city-state of human travelers for thousands of years. Then, one day, a member of the captain’s privy council comes to a startling conclusion: at the current rate of the vessel’s population growth, human requirements will exceed resources in a few hundred years. The captain gathers his trusted advisers in secret to discuss the dilemma. One side is not worried at all....

The deadly and destructive fires in Los Angeles — which some say could be the costliest in the state’s history — will further strain the insurance market and worsen the financial position of California’s insurer of last resort. Data about Pacific Palisades, the devastated LA neighborhood whose residents include movie stars and directors, help illustrate the insurance problems plaguing the state. An estimated 1 in 5 homes in the upscale neighborhood were covered by the insurer, known as the FAIR Plan. Property owners in California have increasingly been turning to the plan, a pool of insurers required by state law...

Faults along Los Angeles’ power grid surged in the same locations where three of this week’s massive wildfires are raging, a company that monitors electrical activity said. Whisker Labs recorded sharp increases in faults in the hours prior to the Eaton, Palisades and Hurst Fires, its chief executive officer Bob Marshall told Fox News Saturday. In the Palisades area, the largest of the fires, there were 63 grid faults in the two to three hours prior to the start of the fire, Marshall said. There were also 18 faults registered in the hour it began Tuesday. He also said there...

Preliminary results show how Pacific Palisades voted in the 2024 general election. Former President Donald Trump won a second presidential term after defeating Vice President Kamala Harris last Wednesday. The Democratic candidate won all of California’s 54 electoral college votes, while also having a stronghold across LA County (save for a few precincts in the Beverly Hills and Glendale areas), according to data reported by the Los Angeles Times. Ballots cast in the five voting precincts that largely constitute the Palisades (9005918A, 9005919A, 9005929A, 9001382A, 9007693D) overwhelmingly went to Harris compared with the now President-elect and independent candidate Robert F....

The bullying of Kelaia Turner was so bad that, at one point, even her glamorous teacher allegedly joined in — driving the schoolgirl closer to taking her own life. That's a claim at the heart of a shocking lawsuit against Olivia Grace Bennett and her colleagues at Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School in Greenville, South Carolina. Kelaia, then 12, faced merciless bullying from five classmates, who called her 'roach,' and 'a man' and physically attacked her, the suit alleges. Rather than stopping the bullies, Bennett, 26, was allegedly 'complicit,' pointing at the abused student as her classmates jeered. In...

AI is getting scary. Some YouTuber used AI to create a Motown versions of the Beatle's Rubber Soul and Revolver, and it's much, much better than you might expect. You could listen to it over and over. They use the same words, but they really revamp the music. I would say some of it sounds more like Sam Cooke, or other soul music, than specifically Motown, but it stands on it's own. How is this possible?

The historic "special relationship" between the United States and the United Kingdom is being threatened by Elon Musk's open criticism of the UK government's toleration of "Asian grooming gangs." The scandal has been underway for decades as Muslims have been treating infidel youngsters as the sex slaves the Quran says they should be. Girls as young as 12 years old are enticed by gifts of candy, food, taxi rides, and drugs. They are gang-raped until they are "too old"--usually around 18 years of age--and then discarded. Current Prime Minister Keir Starmer headed the Crown Prosecution Service during most of this...

A former Labour MP has been arrested during a paedophile sting just months after he was suspended from the party over serious allegations. A video shared on social media shows a man who identifies himself as the former Labour MP Ivor Caplin being handcuffed by police officers. Sussex Police have confirmed they have arrested a 66-year-old man on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child. In June last year, Mr Caplin was suspended over undisclosed 'serious allegations' - which he denies. Footage of the arrest has been shared online showing a man wearing a black trench coat and...
