Local 'Mann' kicks off 2026 US Senate campaign
San Saba News ^ | December 24, 2024 | Sue Ransom

Posted on 01/11/2025 12:59:40 PM PST by T Ruth

On Saturday the 14th, Rennie Mann officially opened his 2026 campaign for the senate. Approximately 100 area citizens and local business owners attended to hear Rennie’s plans for the race.

Dr. Barry Fikes opened in prayer and directed the evening’s proceedings. One of Rennie’s platform issues is the matter of Veteran care. T.J. Weeks from the Veterans Alliance spoke about the serious need for reform in the VA and in the care offered to our veterans. He revealed the many problems faced by injured and sick veterans and praised Mr. Mann for his standing on this issue.

The opening speaker was local schoolteacher and San Saba News & Star columnist Sue Ransom. Sue touted the integrity she has seen in Rennie over the last 14 years in the face of many issues attached to being a member of a local school board. She pointed out his steadfastness on conservative issues and active participation in local issues. She mentioned that Rennie is a firm supporter of President-elect Trump’s America First agenda. One of the points Sue made was that we send good people to Congress, but the Swamp leads them astray. A change needs to be made after a few terms. Sue closed her address by urging the audience to support Rennie with their vote and with their pocketbooks and saying, 'Texas needs a staunch conservative.'

Rennie Mann then addressed the audience for about 30 minutes outlining his platform and reasons for running. He believes in term limits, a balanced budget and a strong border. He is a firm Trump conservative and believes that Trump will need men and women who will back Cleanup afterwards was completed around 9 p.m.

He’s a nobody. No one’s ever heard o him. It’s gotta be a well known republican with a bone to pick. These Ross Perot’s who come outta the blue with a big mouth only reinforce the status quo. Put in the Atty general who the ring’s went after. /That would send a real message similar to 2024.

Let’s think Cruz going to the Supreme Court.

Not anytime soon-we need Ted Cruz right here for the next few years. Mann wants to run for RINO John Cornyn’s seat-not Ted Cruz’s. Cornyn’s term is up in 2026, and it is way past time for him to go away...

He has the reputation in his “real” profession as a good lawyer-has a pair of boots he wears to court that he calls his fighting boots-he has worn them in the senate several times...

I thought Paxton was going to run in the Senate primary against Cornyn.
