To the journalists who have studied Donald Trump longest, the second transition looks a whole lot different from eight years ago. Donald Trump — unbridled and emboldened, his control of the Republican Party all but complete, canny about the mechanics of government in a way he was not eight years back when his first election was such a shock — is headed again to the White House. But how exactly might this tour differ from the last tumultuous term? To get a better sense of what is to come — in the Senate confirmation hearings for his controversial Cabinet picks,...

Environmental negotiators at the U.N.’s COP29 climate alarmism summit issued their once and final demand Sunday for a $300 billion a year pledge from wealthy countries to gift poorer countries between now and 2035. Climate doomers quickly wailed that was not nearly enough and demanded more – much more – to take the sum to $400 billion at least. COP29, formally the Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is the 19th edition of the U.N.’s official assembly to discuss how to address the alleged global climate crisis. Around 50,000 people flew in from around...

While most attendees of the conference recognize that when President-elect Trump takes office in January, the U.S. will likely once again withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement and cut off U.S. funding to the COP29 agenda. The COP29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, ended Saturday after two weeks of bitter division, with a pledge from countries considered wealthy pledging to provide $300 billion a year by 2035 to poorer countries to help them deal with the supposed impacts of climate change and to move their economies toward clean energy. COP stands for “Conference of the Parties,” which are the nearly 200...

Wife and I love movies so we got our tickets for Gladiator II last night. Got there about 5:45 for a 6:00 showing and no one was there so I had to double check time/theater etc. Handful of people showed up, but it has to been one of the worst movies I've ever seen and were big Denzel Washington fans. One little nugget, they flooded the coliseum and had a battle between two boats of gladiators with the coliseum teeming in sharks. The next day, the coliseum floor was bone dry.

(CNN — The reaction from Democrats to Donald Trump’s 2024 victory is, to put it mildly, very much unlike their reaction to his 2016 win. Instead of mass protests in the streets, Democrats have been, for the most part, quiet. Indeed, the aftermath of the 2024 election almost looks like it is from a bygone era. This is the first presidential election in at least a decade when pretty much everyone on the losing side has reached the fifth stage of grief: acceptance. Take a look at recent polling from Reuters/Ipsos. When asked whether Trump’s win was legitimate, about 94%...

Considering previous Soviet threats to use conventional missiles against France and the United Kingdom, U.S. forces believed these events could trigger a NATO nuclear strike against the Soviet Union. In fact, all reports of Soviet...

In fact, the DUmmie FUnnies covered that and her video of just after the election in which Dr. Arlene appeared to be...

President-elect Donald J. Trump is keeping secret the names of the donors who are funding his transition effort, a break from tradition that could make it impossible to see what interest groups, businesses or wealthy people are helping launch his second term.Mr. Trump has so far declined to sign an agreement with the Biden administration that imposes strict limits on that fund-raising in exchange for up to $7.2 million in federal funds earmarked for the transition. By dodging the agreement, Mr. Trump can raise unlimited amounts of money from unknown donors to pay for the staff, travel and office space...

Franklin D. Roosevelt was married for 40 years, but as the author writes in his new biography, it was the mistress whom he had abandoned at his wife’s request that the president spent the last days with THE HEALTH OF President Franklin D. Roosevelt was a cause for concern in early 1945. Some days he was solid and alert, the usual animated and witty conversationalist; a few hours later he could have a grey, ashen pallor, almost blue lips, severe shaking in his hands, glassy eyes and a slack jaw. Conscious of his frailty, probably sensing that the end was...

Senator-elect Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that President-elect Donald Trump will be misreading “his mandate” if he goes after his political rivals. Kristen Welker said, “I want to play something that President-elect Trump said about you when he was a candidate, he called you, quote, more dangerous than foreign adversaries. Take a listen and I’ll get your reaction on the other side.” On Fox News, Trump said, “The enemy from within in my opinion is more dangerous than China and Russia and all these countries. If you have a smart president, he can handle them...

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson spent over a decade in office as a Democrat before making a significant political shift. Just over a year ago, he announced his decision to join the Republican Party. Johnson wrote in a Fox News op-ed that his switch should have been a wake-up call for Democrats ahead of the 2024 election. “It turns out I was kind of a canary in the coal mine, right? I didn’t think I was going to be some anomaly that everyone needed to worry about,” Johnson told “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones, Wednesday. “I thought I was going...

If you thought you heard the worst concerning the U.S. southern border under the Biden-Harris Administration, think again. A new bombshell House Judiciary report found illegal immigrants wanted for sex trafficking and various other violent crimes found a loophole to enter the United States. Due to the Biden-Harris Administration’s categorical parole program for nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV), at least 30,000 illegal immigrants monthly with violent records have been allowed to bypass coming into the U.S. through the southern border, and instead fly into domestic airports. This results from what the administration calls “legal pathways,” created without...

Former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Republicans had to “disabuse themselves of this strange affection for Vladimir Putin.” McMaster said, “This is what I can’t understand, Margaret. There are some people in the Republican Party these days who kind of tend to parrot Putin’s talking points.” Host Margaret Brennan asked, “Why?”

EMERGENCY‼️…….. EMERGENCY ‼️ Today, I have received multiple messages about upcoming security preparedness issues for Capitol Police led events in January. As we all know one of those events is the 2025 Presidential Inauguration. I’m told USCP Chief J Thomas Manger and USCP Assistant Chief Sean Gallagher are holding eleven (11) briefings with Department employees. I’m being told that Gallagher is leading these briefings and I’m hearing first hand that officers in attendance are being packed in rooms like sardines in a can and can barely hear Gallagher speaking. Additionally, they are holding these briefings at the beginning and end...
