Eric Daugherty @EricLDaugh BREAKING: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene announces DOGE may defund NPR.
"We'll be looking at everything from government-funded media programs like NPR, that spread nothing but Democrat propaganda."
Rep. MTG is leading a House subcommittee that will work with Elon Musk/Vivek Ramaswamy's Dept. of Govt. Efficiency.
Overdue by 30 years. GOPe wimps wouldn’t deal with real problems like NPR.
I really wish they would keep their plans quiet until they spring into action. They are hunting traitors, criminals and perverts. Why are they announcing every coming move? I would think it best to be quiet and then when in power, unleash the plan. Announcing things first gives them time to destroy evidence, intimidate witnesses or flee.
Good news
What I’ve been saying since they announced DOGE.....and don’t let the howls of “they are going to kill big bird” distract either!
DO IT ON DAY ONE!
Gotta love MTG. She’s saying what everyone already knows ... but now, maybe she can do something about it ... no doubt with the President’s support.
If not, then just change programming to be more politically balanced, and remove the farcical "climate change" theme from so much of their programming.
“I really wish they would keep their plans quiet until they spring into action.”
No kidding. Just announce “NPR has been defunded” one morning.
Of course, Congress has authorized spending the money on NPR. You need those rats in Congress to fall in line.
Bulldoze their buildings and salt the earth.
I’m sure Dr. Evil George Soros will be happy to pick up the slack.
Just like before when the Trump Administration floated this idea, we’re going to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the usual suspects about Trump wanting to kill Big Bird.
If they say we are doing X and don’t, they will lose credibility very quickly. We have had way too many promises from elected officials in the past and not enough results.
Congress should defund NPR, they’re the ones that allocate the money, or not.
Also PBS.
”Stop the show!”
Nothing wrong with private funding with pledge drives and corporate sponsors. Taxpayer funding not necessary, although I do enjoy listening to the other side on Saturday mornings with “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me”
Works for me. I don’t know anyone who actually listens to that government crap.
If there ever was a need for NPR that need has passed.
The internet and social media platforms can substitute for a government funded organization. Let NPR live or die on the open marketplace
Can we get it in writing PLEASE..and defend that PBS garbage too
MAY? Defund it now!
