Though many credit her for getting President Biden to drop out of the 2024 race for the presidency, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) denied "doing anything more than appeal to his better nature. And it worked. He gracefully stepped aside so the Democratic Party could install Vice-President Harris as its presidential nominee. He demonstrated a greatness that is rare and worthy of eternal glorification by having his face carved on Mt. Rushmore." "His accomplishments is office were monumental," Pelosi added. "As he has said himself on multiple occasions he cured the economy, beat covid, secured the border,...

A former Obama administration official is defending Vice President Kamala Harris for shying away from the press. Michael McFaul served as United States ambassador to Russia from 2012 to 2014. He is also a contributing columnist to the Washington Post and a professor at Stanford University. Taking to X Wednesday, McFaul highlighted attacks over Harris’s cautious approach toward the press. The vice president, he said, has no obligation to engage with reporters. “The paramount objective for @KamalaHarris is to win this election,” he wrote. “If a press conference helps her win, she should do it. If not, she shouldn’t do...

Inflation rose again in July 2024 for the 42nd consecutive month since President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took office in January 2021. Yet, corporate media demand that Americans celebrate the 2.9 percent price hike plaguing their pocketbooks as an “inflation milestone.” According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ consumer price index for last month, Americans paid 2.2 percent more for food, 4.9 percent more for electricity, 5.1 percent more for shelter, 8.8 percent more for transportation, and 3.3 percent more for medical care than they did in July 2023. Even compared to May 2024, July’s inflation...

Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order on Thursday that requires hospitals in Texas to collect information on the immigration status of patients so that the hospitals can then track costs incurred for the care of undocumented migrants. Previous guidance for hospitals did not include questions about immigration status. The executive order would mandate the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to collect this information so that the state of Texas could then bill the federal government. “Due to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ open border policies, Texas has had to foot the bill for medical costs...

Former President Donald Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris nationally by two percentage points, a Daily Mail/J.L. Partners survey reports. The survey examines the race between Trump and Harris, the latter of whom Democrat leaders coronated as their top-of-the-ticket candidate without the help of actual Democrat voters. Bizarrely, some Democrat leaders, such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), are still claiming that this was a decision from the grassroots up. Nevertheless, Democrat elites officially nominated Harris as their party’s presidential candidate on Friday, August 2, 2024, leaving 14 million Democrats who voted for President Joe Biden in the...

American rapper and Olympic sideline reporter Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. has been accused of using a Class B drug in London, which is to say that Snoop Dogg smoked some weed. While that's hardly news in America, where marijuana is legalized depending on your location, it is an issue in the United Kingdom, where cannabis use carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and an undisclosed fine. Snoop and his guests allegedly stunk up the Mandarin Hotel south of Hyde Park in London, where several Muslim guests 'went ballistic' over the powerful aroma wafting through the century-old...

More than a dozen jurisdictions run by Democrats – including Washington D.C., and several adjacent Maryland municipalities – allow noncitizens to vote in some local elections. San Francisco not only permits noncitizens to vote but appointed one to serve on its Elections Commission. Such developments, against a backdrop of millions of illegal migrants streaming into the United States under the Biden-Harris administration, bring new urgency to debates over election integrity. Many Republicans fear that a widespread effort is afoot to give noncitizens the full benefits of citizenship, including the right to vote in all elections, on top of benefits already...

The suggestion that boxing could be missing from the 2028 Los Angeles Games is one of those historic moments for both sport and the Olympic Games. One of the founding sports of the modern Olympics, boxing has been a core component of every Reinstatement Games since 1904. It appeared in St Louis alongside other events like wrestling, but turbulence regarding governance, ethics, and sports integrity has it teetering. The following article digs into this history, why it led to an International Olympic Committee (IOC) decision, and what that means more widely in boxing within the Olympic movement.

I’ve been filming on borders around the world since early 2019, and I always encounter government agents who want to tell me what’s really going on behind the scenes. My latest tour on the border in Jacumba, California, has been no different. An agent who spoke to me under the condition he remains anonymous told me that immediately after Joe Biden took office in 2021, official email communications from his administration instructed all Border Patrol agents to turn in family members, friends, and co-workers if they believed that the election was stolen or tampered with. The communications also directed agents...

German prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian man over the 2022 sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, German media reported Wednesday, with Polish prosecutors confirming they had received the warrant. In the two years since the mysterious explosions hit the pipelines, speculation has been rife around who was responsible with Ukraine and Russia both vehemently denying any involvement. But German media reported on Wednesday that a European arrest warrant had been requested for a Ukrainian man, a diving instructor whose last known address was in Poland. The Polish prosecutor's office told AFP it had received the...

An apparent cat burglar struck a Queens deli last weekend — snatching a bodega’s 18-year-old tabby that one grieving worker said is like his “teenager.” Video captured the moment the stranger scooped up and carried away Antonio, a staple of K’Glen Deli and Sari Sari Store in Woodside. “The people love him here. People always stop in the store looking for the cat. They keep saying, ‘Where’s the cat?’” Glen Alagasi, who has owned the deli since 2014, told The Post. “I’m very sad without Antonio.”

[Catholic Caucus] Hope Lies Not in Some Future PopeI get little solace from the idea that some future pope will come along and undo the Francis papacy. Not that I don’t think it could happen. But what is the point of a religion that changes from time to time depending on who is pope? What got me to this point is the scandal of Traditionis Custodes.First, let me clarify what I mean by “scandal.” I am not talking about tabloid “scandal.” I am talking about theological “scandal,” which St. Thomas Aquinas describes as a word or action evil in itself, which...
