Former President Donald Trump has been ordered to stop to playing the late soul singer Isaac Hayes song Hold On, I’m Coming at his campaign rallies. A letter sent to Trump and his team by the musician and actor’s surviving family members, and shared by Hayes’ son on social media, threatens to sue Trump if he does not comply by 16 August. Hayes’ attorneys note in the letter that $3 million requested as compensation for previous use is “a very discounted fee” from the usual rate of $150,000 per use of the song, which based on the number of times...

A schoolgirl and a woman have been rushed to hospital after they were stabbed in Leicester Square today in broad daylight. The little girl, 11, and a woman, 34, were hospitalised after the nightmare unfolded in the bustling tourist hotspot just before midday. Emergency crews were scrambled to the area, which sees thousands of visitors come through every day, just after 11.36am. There were no immediate details about how badly injured either of the victims were but medics have taken them to a major trauma centre for treatment. Detectives say a man has been arrested and is currently being held...

Federal agencies used the pretext of foreign interference in the 2020 election to surveil and suppress domestic news. merica’s speech police are reassembling to once again influence our elections. At the same time the security state is creating potential pretexts for renewed censorship by issuing warnings of cyberattacks that could “hinder public access to election information,” they are also reprising old claims of coming Russian election interference on behalf of Donald Trump. The little-noticed development comes in a report from the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) on the DOJ’s efforts to “Coordinate Information Sharing About Foreign Malign Influence...

Chicago protesters have marched against Israel’s actions in the war in Gaza every weekend since last October. But the task of organizing those protests has been difficult while leaders witness the daily violence from Israel’s attacks, including the killing or maiming of their own family or friends. “We’ve been struggling,” said Deanna Othman, a board member with the Chicago chapter of American Muslims for Palestine. “Nobody expected this to last this long.” This month, they’ll have reinforcements. Demonstrations are planned outside the Democratic National Convention, when the party is expected to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as its presidential candidate....

While the IDF announced on Saturday that 19 terrorists were eliminated in an attack on the Tabbayeen School in Gaza, the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence have confirmed that the number of terrorists eliminated in the attack is 31, the IDF reported Monday. Security forces are continuing their assessments, and the number may increase, however, this contrasts with Palestinian claims that approximately 100 uninvolved civilians were killed in the attack. Ahead of the attack, the Shin Bet provided precise intelligence on a specific building within the school complex, which had effectively become a terrorist headquarters hiding dozens of Hamas and...

Thousands of synagogues prepare to feature lamentations about the Hamas atrocities, on Tisha B’Av, a fast day that commemorates historical – and now contemporary – tragedies. Like thousands of Israelis, Adam Hajaj is still suffering from the Hamas onslaught of October 7, when terrorists abducted his cousin Rom Braslavski from the Supernova music festival in Re’im. On Saturday, Hajaj told thousands of people about his family’s pain at the weekly rally for the hostages in Tel Aviv. But he began his speech by addressing events from almost 2,000 years ago, with the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem on...

Israel has expanded the evacuation orders in southern Gaza, forcing residents to leave their residences amid the ongoing displacement crisis caused by the war with Hamas. Israel’s military said on Sunday that it was widening the humanitarian zone in response to Hamas’s “exploitation” of the zone “for terrorist acts and the continuous firing of rockets towards the State of Israel,” according to a post on the social platform X. Israel released leaflets to areas of Khan Younis, Gaza’s second-largest city, and made phone calls to residents warning them to flee, saying, “remaining in this block has become dangerous.” “We inform...

Russian forces started a fire at the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southern Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a Telegram post Sunday. Zelensky posted a video showing a large plume of smoke coming out of one of the towers on the plant’s territory. He said radiation indicators were normal but blamed Russia for using the nuclear plant “to blackmail Ukraine, and all of Europe and the world.” “We are waiting for the reaction of the world, we are waiting for the reaction of the IAEA,” he said, referring to the International Atomic Energy Agency. “Russia must be...

I claim credit for being the first person to demand a demonstration project to show how a zero emissions electrical grid is supposed to work, before trying to build such a thing for our entire population of three hundred million as involuntary guinea pigs. How could it be that lots of others haven’t been demanding this for years? It’s like everyone has lost their minds. Before climate hysteria set in, the idea of attempting an engineering project as enormous as a zero emissions electrical grid for the United States, or even for one state, without first having a functioning demonstration...

NORRISTOWN, Pennsylvania -- A Montgomery County man has been sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of a neighbor following a dispute that authorities said was over loud snoring. Christopher Casey, 56, of Upper Morland was sentenced last week in Montgomery County Court to 11.5 to 23 months in county jail followed by three years' probation after pleading guilty to the manslaughter charge and possession of an instrument of crime. Casey was originally charged with third-degree murder in the Jan. 14 death of 62-year-old Robert Wallace, who lived next-door in a duplex and...

Controversial leftist billionaire George Soros and his son Alex have worked tirelessly to undermine law and order in America. The Media Research Center has obtained thousands of never-before-seen internal communications from dozens of Soros prosecutors in response to public records requests. These documents reveal how the Soros machine effectively employs an army of radicalized government lawyers to tear apart the justice system. The result is a crumbling legal system where laws are openly defied by the very people who are paid to enforce them.

As soon as I heard Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance smearing the military service of his opponent, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, all I could think was: Seriously? Are we really doing this again? Are we really going to allow Republicans — who are freaking out now that their presumed glide path back to the White House has become a very bumpy road — to slime Walz the way they slimed Vietnam veteran John Kerry 20 years ago? “When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, do you know what he did?” Vance said last week...

Which might sharpen the mind more? Trio of European leaders write to Iran, warning it will “bear responsibility” if it attacks Israel while U.S. takes unusual step of announcing deployment of a nuclear attack submarine. President Emmanuel Macron of France, Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany, and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom released a joint statement on Monday warning “Iran and its allies” to stop launching attacks that jeopardise negotiations over hostage releases, a ceasefire, and the delivery of aid to Gaza.

“There’s some perversion that’s happened in our country in the last several years.” — Candidate Kamala Harris. You might well wonder: how does the Democratic Party rank and file sustain such fervor for the wrecking crew of Harris & Walz conjured up with zero input from the Party’s demos? Just plopped onstage as by the old MGM studio heads casting a pair of iffy contract players in a “B” movie musical called Our Pronouns Are Cash and Carry. So far, Harris and Walz levitate in fake polls on gusts of idiot wind from the Party’s unofficial public relations team of...

Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio pushed back Sunday as ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl claimed Vice President Kamala Harris was never the “border czar.” Vance did multiple interviews that aired Sunday criticizing Harris for not giving an interview or press conference since President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid on July 21. Vance sparred with Karl about former President Donald Trump’s promise to deport millions of illegal immigrants and referred to Harris as the “border czar.” ... Karl questioned if federal authorities would go “door-to-door” requesting papers, but Vance promptly retorted, “This is the wrong attitude towards it, right?”...

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For evildoers shall be cutoff, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there. But the meek will inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.

While Israel, Hezbollah, and Iran prefer to avoid a full-scale regional war, Hamas is actively seeking one. The ongoing violence could lead to a broader and more devastating conflict. The Middle East teeters on the brink of a ruinous all-out regional war. Yet Israel did not want a wider and high-intensity war. Iran-backed Hezbollah does not appear to have wanted a wider and high-intensity war. And Iran, too, appeared not to have wanted a wider and high-intensity war. Only Iran-backed Hamas wanted a full-blown regional war. It may well get its way. In defending itself against the Iranian-built “ring of...
