The ideological labels that weren't. On the same day that President Joe Biden implied Jan. 6 was a darker day than 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, leftist protesters fought and shoved police and burned the American flag near the Capitol. They pulled down the American flag and replaced it with the Palestinian flag. Some flew the Hamas flag and vandalized monuments with spray-painted slogans like “Hamas is comin'” and “I commend Hamas.” The occasion was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking to a joint session of Congress. So how would our D.C.-riot-hating media treat this? Some largely pretended it did not...

In the last week of May 2024, Bowhunter Tyce Erickson used his 10mm S&W 2.0 handgun to defend against a large Kodiak brown bear. The 10mm handgun was loaded with Underwood ammunition utilizing 220-grain hardcast bullets. The hunt was on Kodiak Island in Alaska. Tyce had wounded a large Kodiak bear in the last two days of the hunt in a shot at a moving bear from 200 yards with a borrowed rifle. The bear was tracked for two miles when it decided to ambush the hunters. The guide was about 10 feet in front of Tyce with a .375...

The two illegal Jordanian migrants who are charged with trying to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico in May posted thousands of dollars in bail and were allowed to leave federal custody, The Post can exclusively reveal. Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, and Mohammad Khair Dabous, 28, were released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention despite their immigration status — Hamdan had crossed into the country illegally in April and Dabous had overstayed his student visa and is subject to removal proceedings, law enforcement sources told The Post. They were arrested on May 3 for trespassing onto the military installation and...

In one of the least surprising developments of all time, this week’s White Dudes for Kamala Zoom call was a festival of estrogen where a bunch of weirdos, losers, mutations, sissies, whiners, dorks, geeks, and other key sub-sections of the Democrat Party gathered in the electronic ether to humiliate themselves at the feet of their mediocre candidate. That was no surprise. I didn’t check out enough of it to see if they started with a land acknowledgment or if they reassured some of the men participating that it was understood that some of them menstruate because every second I watched,...

“‘For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also’” (Matthew 6:21). In wealthy countries, where the focus is on material things, believers must strive for the right perspective on possessions. Today’s text answers the simple but age-old question, Where is your heart? When our Lord answers the question, it is clear He is referring to all of life’s major preoccupations and investments—anything that receives most of our thinking, planning, and expenditure of energy. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day had their hearts in the wrong places. Among their many other sins, the Pharisees were thing-oriented—covetous, greedy, avaricious, and...

One of the stranger facets of the deeply controversial Paris Olympics opening ceremony is the apparent agreement by its creators that part of its purpose is to refute — of all things — a French theme park and its traditionalist approach to national history. The fact one of France’s most popular tourist attractions is a theme park celebrating French history appears to be an annoyance that lives rent-free in the head of some, with the park repeatedly cited as a key driving force to make the Paris Olympics opening ceremony last week as anti-“heroic” as possible. When discussing the controversial...

‘I have never felt a punch like this’ Italian boxer Angela Carini broke down in tears after she abandoned her bout against Algerian Imane Khelif after 46seconds in a fight that sparked huge controversy at the Olympics. Khelif is one of two boxers permitted tofight at the Olympics despite being disqualified from the women’s world championships last year for failing testosterone and gender eligibility tests. In highly-charged scenes, Carini revealed afterwards that she had pulled out after after being hit harder than she had ever been hit before. A first punchdislodged her chinstrap and a second smashed against her chin...

She’s merciless, cunning, and ambitious - and no one should think otherwise. With Joe Biden’s ignominious departure from the presidential race, it appears that Vice-President Kamala Harris will soon be crowned the new, but not necessarily improved, Democratic nominee. She was the obvious choice not because of her many virtues (we’re still in search of the first virtue, actually), but because she’s second-in-line, she’s hard to say no to (“identity politics” are a cruel mistress, lefties), and she’s under 80, which apparently adds up to political inevitability. So be it.Republicans, conservatives, and Trumpers are inclined to scoff. Harris is scarcely...

the top Secret Service official who blew the security at the Trump Butler rally is still calling the shots and approving advance teams at Trump rallies. The female agent is still calling the shots at the Trump rallies despite failing in her one job – to keep the President safe and secure in public. It appears that there is no accountability in the US government today. You can even fail a security detail and get the former president shot in the head and keep your job. And we still do not know her name or the names of the other...

Special Dispatch to the New-York Times. WASHINGTON, Sunday, July 31. Dispatches from the TIMES' special army correspondent, herewith transmitted, bring before the imagination the opening of a grand battle drama, which began with early dawn of Saturday. Unlike customary skirmishing, with which the first sallies of battle begin, the combat of Saturday opens midst explosion of mines and the rude clamor of a hundred pieces of artillery. Unhappily the curtain drops with the first act of the drama, and the rest, whether of glory or disaster, is silence. We shall have to wait yet a few hours ere we know...

I miss my father-in-law. He passed away in December of 2020, but he didn’t have to. I want to tell you what happened, but first, let me tell you about Bob. That was his name. Bob had been somewhat hostile toward Christianity for most of the time I had known him. He’d have nothing to do with church or the things of God, and then, when I went into full time ministry in April of 2000, he thought I’d lost my mind…and I’m pretty sure I lost any amount of respect he might have had for me.

The number of Americans filing new applications for unemployment benefits increased to an 11-month high last week, suggesting some softening in the labor market, though claims tend to be volatile around this time of the year. Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 14,000 to a seasonally adjusted 249,000 for the week ended July 27, the highest level since August last year, the Labor Department said on Thursday. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast 236,000 claims for the latest week. Claims have been on an upward trend since June, with part of the rise blamed on volatility related to temporary...

As stated, the International Boxing Association (IBA) feels it appropriate at this prevalent time, to address recent media statements regarding those athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif, particularly regarding their participation in the Paris Olympic Games 2024. We wish to make the following points in these regards: On 24 March 2023, IBA disqualified athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif from the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships New Delhi 2023. This disqualification was a result of their failure to meet the eligibility criteria for participating in the women’s competition, as set and laid out in the IBA Regulations. This decision, made...

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) is calling on Republicans to “stop the trash talk” leading up to November, arguing such attacks will do little to shore up support for the GOP ticket. “As Donald Trump and my fellow Republicans navigate the next steps of their campaigns, my message to them is this: The path to victory in November is not won through character attacks or personal insults,” Sununu wrote Thursday in an op-ed published by The New York Times. Sununu argued the “catchy one-liners” against Vice President Harris, including labelling her as a “bum,” “not a serious person,” and...

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that he had held several rounds of talks with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, during which Shmygal emphasized Kiev’s determination not to resume the transit of Russian oil to Slovakia and Hungary. In July, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Ukraine had stopped the transit of Lukoil's oil. The Slovak Economy Ministry confirmed that the country was no longer receiving oil from the Russian oil giant, which was sanctioned by Ukraine. "The sanctions imposed by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine do not pose a threat to the...
