If I’d Known Then What I Know Now
New American Prophet ^ | August 1, 2024 | Rob Pue

I miss my father-in-law. He passed away in December of 2020, but he didn’t have to. I want to tell you what happened, but first, let me tell you about Bob. That was his name.

Bob had been somewhat hostile toward Christianity for most of the time I had known him. He’d have nothing to do with church or the things of God, and then, when I went into full time ministry in April of 2000, he thought I’d lost my mind…and I’m pretty sure I lost any amount of respect he might have had for me.

This same situation happened 1 million times over during the COVID lockdowns. A hypochondriac aunt of mine went into the doctor with a slight cough. Because it was a positive COVID test, they kept her overnight and put her on Remdesiver. She was dead by morning of Kidney failure!?! Of course it was ruled “COVID death” so the Hospital could collect its 40K.

This one hit me hard. Lost mom last year. And a close family friend with no immediate family is falling into dementia rapidly. He, too, has been diagnosed with “swallowing issues” after a swallowing study, and he, too, is on a list of meds two pages long.

They’ve diagnosed him as “NPO,” which means only a feeding tube for nutritional sustenance. He has always enjoyed his food, and to deny him that would be a living hell for him. I said no way. Medical waiver signed. Now, his assisted living center won’t take him back under those conditions.

Me and mine are in no positions to quit our full-time jobs and take care of him, so we will be looking for other options. It’s heart-breaking.

There will be many people in hell for eternity because of what they did to others in taking their lives in such a premeditated, deliberate fashion.

We were lucky. My 88 year old mom was admitted to a hospital with sepsis and an UTI in 2020. They weren’t overwhelmed, the hallways were empty. It was less crowded than I’ve ever seen a hospital. We were able to get her out, moved her in with my brother who had a ranch style house able to accommodate her needs, while we found an assisted living place. Today, she’s 92, still has walking issues due to severe arthritis and has developed dementia. She’s going to live another 10 years. What an evil thing the deep state tried to do to this world.

I’m 72, and a lot like the father-in-law in this story before he found Jesus.

I don’t believe in things I don’t understand - I make my own observations and think for myself. I am a true believer in common sense. I am skeptical - I am what religious believers would call a doubter. There may well be a god - that would be wonderful - but nobody knows.

I don’t doubt only priests who claim to know things that can’t be known - I also doubt ‘scientists’ who do the same - which saber me from Bob’s fate.

I didn’t buy any of the Covid nonsense. I didn’t get the vaccines. I took a Covid test once just for the heck of it because my wife and I had cold symptoms and she bought a two pack. We both tested positive - I thought it was BS and insisted we just had colds.

I am retired, but my wife still does shifts at the hospital as a nurse-midwife - she agreed with me that the Covid was BS, but the hospital where she worked forced her to take the ‘vaccine’ or lose her job so she got a single shot over my loud protest. Thank goodness nothing bad has come of it, and thank goodness they never enforced the vaccines program after that.

Thank goodness I was raised to question everything and think for myself instead of believing what I’m told by the ordained experts. If there is a god, he provided us with brains - the perfect tools for thinking for ourselves and using common sense.

I was given Remdesiver for Covid when I was hospitalized back in 2022. Many folks were amazed I lived through it, and I didn’t know the risks until afterwards. Now the hospitals here won’t touch it and even the VA admits it was a mistake to administer it to Covid patients. I thank God every time this comes to rememberence.

The good part of this story is that Bob is in a much better place now.

John 10:28: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

Maybe someone can explain how we live in a society in this "free country" where something like this can happen -- not once but thousands and thousands of times. Please explain how our government is absolutely no better than any other government on the face of this planet. 'Cause it is not!

We are only here for a very short time -- then eternity.

My daughter in law got the jab while pregnant. My granddaughter was born 14 weeks premature. She has survived a litany of ailments, to include a cancerous tumor on her liver. Her third birthday is in two months, and she’s healthy enough to be weaned off the tracheotomy tube.

I dare not say it publicly, but the jab lead directly to my granddaughter’s problems.

My d-i-l got jabbed before she got pregnant.

Lost him at 20 weeks.

I blame the jab. The doctors made excuses.

I guess those responsible for these ongoing tragedies don’t want to admit what they did. If they admitted culpability their would be a spectrum of responses by the aggrieved ranging from lawsuits to hangings in the woods. So sad.

So sorry for your loss. The only time I get to see her is when she’s in the hospital. I will visit her after work today.

If there is a god, he provided us with brains - the perfect tools for thinking for ourselves and using common sense.

Keep on using the brain God gave you. No less a great mind than Judge Robert Bork was a similar skeptic until near the end, but always kept searching, asking the right questions. The important questions.

Ultimately, despite St. Thomas Aquinas' Five Proofs for the Existence of God, True Faith is a Gift. When we have an opportunity to accept that Gift is up to God. You have access to the writings of the greatest minds who ever lived, and the Scriptures as well. You also have a knowledge of History. Many Roads lead to Faith. Some come through raw abstract Reason, others through History, some through the experience of Christian Charity, some through the examples of the great Martyrs, some through the legacy that Christian Western Civilization leaves us, some through a combination.

You are a rational animal. You want your life to have a meaning beyond eating, drinking, comfort and procreation. If it is simply Darwinian biological reactions with no attachment to reality, human life is an absurdity. If our higher impulses have a meaning attached to reality, it is not an absurdity. The fact that you want there to be a God is the correct inclination, especially if you accept the regards and punishments that come from being a man placed in this place in this time.

Pray, even if your heart isn't in it, that God reveal Himself to you. He wants you to know Him, even if He hides himself behind His Creation.

Denial is easier than dealing with the guilt for acknowledging what you did.

My mind is open to all of the possibilities that your mind is open to.
I am every bit as amazed by the profound marvels of the universe as you are.
I am capable of the same joys, hopes, dreams, loves and gratitudes as are you.

I just need to do it without claiming knowledge of things that can’t be known.

It’s good to hear that she has had no problems from the vaccine. My wife and I both had Covid in the late fall of 2020, before the vaccine came out. When we had recovered and the vaccine became available, I told her that we’d have natural immunity and should not take it. Unfortunately, she believed MSNBC, Fauci, and Biden. Within 10 days after her third jab, she exhibited Parkinson’s type symptoms, with a loss of balance and bouts of dementia. She is now in long-term care for the dementia. The medication they give her is supposed to slow the progression, but gives no improvement.

My heart goes out to you. These people should hang for what they have done. As you and I both found out, it is not easy to convince loved ones that the experts are wrong, or that the authorities may have evil intentions.

Some people are too trusting - but that does not excuse these people who abuse that trust.
