CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp said Thursday that Democratic lawmakers were leaking their conversations with President Biden because they feel they can't get through to him about dropping out of the race. "Democrats are so desperate to get through to Joe Biden and they’re not, that now they're leaking these private conversations as sort of an outside effort to triangulate and really force Joe Biden to acknowledge the realities of the state of his campaign. And unfortunately, I think his resistance does not look like it’s coming from a position of strength but a position of delusion," Cupp said.

On a recent call with Democrat lawmakers to assuage concerns about his declining mental capacity and to shore up support for his continuation on the top of the ticket, staffers handed Joe Biden a private note critiquing his tone and telling him to “stay positive.” Biden then read the note out loud to those on the call. According to the New York Times, a staffer gave Biden a note card with tips saying, “Stay positive, you are sounding defensive,” Biden then repeated the private note on the call, seemingly reading directly from his staffer’s missive.

Subway has been accused of religious discrimination against Christians after an outlet in Wisconsin refused to serve customers because of the anti-abortion and anti-gay messages on their T-shirts. Street preacher David Grisham was in town for the Republican National Convention when he and three friends popped into a Waunakee branch of the fast-food franchise to grab a sandwich. But they were forced to go elsewhere when a young woman behind the counter confirmed she was refusing to serve the group because of the messages on their T-shirts. The world's largest restaurant operator has now been hit with a deluge of...

UNITED NATIONS – The United Nations says comments by a spokesman in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office about the head of the UN agency helping Palestinian refugees are “reprehensible” and threatening. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric is responding to comments made by spokesman David Mencer who called Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the agency known as UNRWA, “one of the bad guys, a terrorist sympathizer, a Jew-killing enabler, a liar.” Mencer issued the denunciations of Lazzarini after saying that Israeli forces have retrieved “millions of documents and captured enemy material” exposing the involvement of UNRWA employees in Hamas’ attacks on October...

The Republican concern with China’s threat to America is understandable, arguably even laudable, as many of China’s economic, security, and human rights policies do, in fact, challenge America. When that laudable concern turns into a single-minded obsession, however, then it does more than a disservice to America. It becomes exactly that which it was supposed to deter: a threat to America’s security. Both former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, along with the Heritage Foundation and scores of conservative analysts, suffer from this obsession. If China were the only big country that matters in the...

BETHEL PARK, Pa. – Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old would-be assassin who opened fire on former President Donald Trump's Pennsylvania campaign rally Saturday, hid the weapon in advance, according to a Secret Service source. It was not immediately clear where he hid it, however. By the time agents spotted him on the roof, he was already holding it. "We went from golf range finder to AR-15, and now we have to fill in the gap," the source told Fox News

President Biden's re-election campaign is all but over, CNN political commentator and former Bill Clinton strategist Paul Begala projected on Thursday. "I've been talking to a lot of people, a lot of members in the Senate and House, major donors, activists, party chairs and I got to tell you, I think I‘ve come across one who is still ridin’ for Biden," Begala said candidly on CNN. "So the walls are closing in." Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a longtime Biden ally, has made this argument in private calls to the president, according to CNN. Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer has...

Bud Light's popularity continues to decline more than a year after a boycott disrupted the US beer industry. A backlash that began last April - after the beer giant used a transgender influencer in an advert - has snowballed, new sales figures show. Back then, Bud Light was the undisputed top-selling beer in American stores by a margin. It had held the place for decades. It fell below Modelo Especial last summer - and now it has slipped to No3 behind Michelob Ultra. Coors Light could overtake Bud Light by the end of the year if the fall in sales...

About 1.8 million people worldwide are bitten by snakes each year. Of those, up to 138,000 die and another 400,000 end up with permanent scarring and disability. Many cobras have tissue-damaging venoms that can't be treated with current antivenoms. We have discovered that cheap, readily available blood-thinning medications can be repurposed as antidotes for these venoms. Using CRISPR gene-editing technology we learned more about how these venoms attack our cells, and found out that a common class of drugs called heparinoids can protect tissue from the venom. Our research is published today in Science Translational Medicine. Snakebites are a serious...

Sky News host Liz Storer says “Trump derangement syndrome” has picked up again after the former president’s “great week” surrounding the debate. “Donald Trump’s great week has resulted in some serious Trump derangement syndrome, we are talking about on steroids,” Ms Storer said. “This has now reached such a hysterical level people are taking to social media to call for Trump’s assassination.”

President Biden is expected to see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he is in Washington next week, but the White House cautioned the president’s recovery from COVID-19 will take priority. “We have every expectation that the two leaders will have a chance to see each other when Prime Minister Netanyahu is in town,” John Kirby, the White House communications director for national security, told reporters Thursday. Kirby said the president’s health and his recovery after testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday will take priority and that it is unclear “if and how that might affect the discussion.”

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova isn't buying Donald Trump's enormous ear bandage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee following the failed assassination attempt on the ex-President in Pennsylvania over the weekend. Responding to a comment on X, the winner of 18 major singles titles described Trump's bandage as a 'PR stunt,' which drew criticism from conservatives online. Specifically, Navratilova was accused of minimizing the attempt on Trump's life.

Elevation Church in North Carolina has been accused by one pastor of high-tech “sheep stealing,” claiming the popular megachurch is using geofencing technology to intentionally target smaller churches with location-based ads, ensuring that as soon as congregants step foot onto their own church property- they are pushed advertisements intended to draw them away. Dr. Michael Kelly is the lead pastor of Central Triad Church, a growing congregation nestled on the outskirts of Winston-Salem, NC. In a recent sermon he revealed to his congregation that a few years ago, in 2018, he was looking for ways to help grow and promote...

The Jewish Press web article “New Study Suggests Some Tefillin Boxes Were Not Colored Black 2,000 Years Ago” (June 14) is quite provocative from the standpoint of Jewish law. Based on an analysis of tefillin boxes dating to the end of the Second Temple era (approximately 2,000 years ago), researchers at Ariel University have concluded that “the law requiring tefillin to be made black may not have been in place in the Second Temple period.” Rather, says Professor Yonatan Adler, the study leader, “Only at a later period did the rabbis rule that tefillin should be colored black.” He adds:...

I'm pretty sure almost all of us here believe the days of Biden's candidacy are very short. I'm equally sure the Dems realistically have no option other than elevating Kamala Harris to be their nominee, no matter how distasteful that may seem. As this seems obvious, who would y'all speculate she (OK we know it's really Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi making these calls) will pick to board her Titanic for the cruise to November? Since they can not tap their reelection kitty unless Kamala is the one, would she tap Michelle, knowing the populace would see this as "historic" with...

During an interview on Tuesday for Wednesday’s BET News interview special “Black America Votes: The Biden Interview,” President Joe Biden said that his economic policies haven’t resonated with people “because the Republican Party and the MAGA Republicans have been opposed to it, and they’ve been beating up on it.” And because “it’s just taking time for people to see it. And the other thing is, there’s not been a very good job done about saying, this new billion-dollar bridge going over there is brought to you by Joe Biden.” But some of his policy agenda has “resonated for those who...

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden’s political world is collapsing. Top allies have either publicly or privately called on him to step aside. Major donations have fallen off a cliff. Grassroots fundraising is not keeping up with the demands of a campaign that needs to aggressively scale up three months before the presidential election. Members of his own re-election effort have already declared he has no path to victory. Since a disastrous debate in Atlanta upended the trajectory of his campaign three weeks ago, Biden has again and again attempted to dig in, bucking efforts to dislodge him from power. But...

Turns out, Joe Scarborough wasn't telling the truth when for weeks and months he was talking up Biden's chances of winning, discounting any polling that indicated the opposite. We now find out that Scarborough knew better all along. On today's Morning Joe, Willie Geist told the truth. "I think what we saw yesterday was everything we'd been hearing in private. Not just, frankly, for the last three weeks, but for a long time, spilled out publicly. Which is that the polling now shows, private polling and now public polling, that we're seeing, internal polling and public polling, that this is...
