1950s The design of the telephone didn’t change much from the ’40s to the ’50s, but the mechanics of it sure did. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the numbers and letters are placed around the rotary so that people could view them more easily when dialing, and it also had an adjustable volume control. This style phone is the Western Electric model 500 Rotary. It was designed by Henry Dreyfus and was used as the Bell System’s mainstay telephone from the 1950s through the 1980s.

On Sunday's CNN's State of the Union, Sen. Marco Rubio, tipped as one of Donald Trump's possible VP choices, battled host Dana Bash. Rubio came out on top on everything from abortion, to the SCOTUS ruling on presidential immunity, Trump's "revenge," Project 2025, Biden's disastrous record, and speculation about Trump's VP pick. Rubio agilely batted away Bash's challenges, and also flashed a relaxed sense of humor, getting in a number of zingers. [snip] Last week, Doug Burgum and J.D. Vance, who are generally considered Trump's other most likely VP possibilities, made Sunday show appearances. Each was impressive in his own...

VIDEOIt was like a comedy scene out of a movie. You are amazed at how many Patriot Front-Feds can pour out of a U-Haul truck in Nashville. However, your amazement quickly turns into ASTONISHMENT as they keep on pouring out of the U-Haul in large numbers. The stench from the BO alone in the U-Hauls would have been quite overwhelming. Of course, absurdly packing the back of trucks with so many people is highly illegal but not to worry. The Nashville Police refrained from ticketing them and even kindly escorted the march of the Patriot Front-Feds through Nashville in order...

Cary Grant's public persona was that of a charming, sophisticated, and just plain cool leading man. But in reality, "Cary Grant" was just another character he played on film. Even Cary Grant's name was a part of his well-crafted and carefully maintained image; fans who know about his personal life will tell you he was born Archibald Alexander Leach. A look at any Cary Grant biography reveals a troubled and conflicted man underneath that polished exterior. He Was Known As A Cheapskate

I am not a Swiftie. I can’t name a single song by Taylor Swift besides “Shake it off.” But a recent Newsweek column about her life choices has me infuriated. John Mac Ghlionn opined that Swift is not a good role model. Why? Because she is 34, unmarried and childless. …My 25-year-old daughter is set to be married in just a few months and I am so incredibly happy for her. She was lucky enough to meet a wonderful, respectful man with common interests and humor. But let’s be clear. If she hadn’t, I would still be proud of a...

On this date in 2010, Chongqing politician Wen Qiang was executed for corruption — but the rival who felled him was on the brink of his own destruction. Wen, the longtime Public Security Bureau chief in the southwestern city of Chongking, was a big dog to most. To Bo Xilai, Wen looked more like trophy game. Son of an “immortal” Communist pol Bo Yibo, the aggressive and charismatic Politburo member Bo was then an ascending star on the national stage. In 2007, Bo won the Communist Party’s appointment as party chief of Chongqing — effectively giving him control of the...

My sources have confirmed that not only did Russia make a stop in Cuba, but China is also present, and they are constructing spy installations to watch what is going to take place, especially with our elections. Most likely, they will put missiles in Cuba in retaliation for this Proxy War to conquer Russia. Guess what! This is two Pi Cycles from 1962 (2024) – right on schedule. They are well aware that Biden is NOT running the country. This is in the hands of the Neocons, and both Garland and Blinken just so happen to be Ukrainian Jews with...

In this video I'm in Claremont, New Hampshire outside of a pride rally talking to a gay affirming church. We had a long talk with their female 'pastor' Maggie, who we had a good discussion with. Later in the video I talk to another Church Tabling who were also gay affirming and one of the ladies was less than happy with me talking about the truth of Jesus Christ with her and her daughter. (In this video he actually speaks to two different churches from same denomination. The First Congregational Church and South Congregational Church)

U.S. — Democrats have responded in outrage as the Vice President chosen solely because of her race and gender has been labeled a "diversity hire". "How dare they!" decried Democratic Senator Chris Murphy. "To say that a woman we publicly chose because of her race was chosen because of her race is an absolute disgrace." After announcing in 2020 that Biden would choose a running mate based on race and gender, Democrats have been infuriated by pundits pointing out that Kamala Harris could become President because of her race and gender. "It is demeaning and bigoted," said Representative Tammy Baldwin....

It’s hard to acknowledge that those who worried about Biden’s age may have been right all along. Two moments in President Biden’s ABC News interview with George Stephanopoulos on Friday are likely to be remembered as the dealbreakers that provoked an open rebellion against his candidacy. As important, they were also moments when many among the president’s strongest supporters began to lose heart. Stephanopoulos asked the exactly appropriate question near the end of their conversation: “If you stay in and Trump is elected and everything you’re warning about comes to pass, how will you feel in January?” There were many right...
