President Joe Biden’s support among women is the lowest for any Democrat since 2004, a New York Times polling analysis found in June, while former President Donald Trump notched an eight-point lead over his opponent among the same demographic. The analysis raises further concerns about the president’s chances of reelection in the wake of rising costs. Women, a key demographic for Democrats, make a large portion of buying decisions for their households, studies show. Just four years ago, in 2020, Biden led Trump by 13 points among women. Now, Trump leads by eight points, a total gain of 21 points,...

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) and Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.) made sure to line up an equal number of lawmakers from each side of the aisle to serve as co-sponsors when they joined forces on a White House ethics bill last month. That careful balance soon fell apart, however, after three Democrats backed out of their previous commitments to support the bill — vanishing, Porter said, after the White House reached out to her colleagues. That backing slipped away, she said, on the eve of the bill’s introduction as she was boarding a flight back to...

In a groundbreaking archaeological discovery, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced Thursday that a natural gas company's standard survey of the Eastern Mediterranean floor had uncovered the most ancient ship ever found in the deep seas. The discovery of the remains of the ship from the 14th-13th century BCE proves that Late Bronze Age mariners could navigate the seas without a line of sight to the shore, contrary to what was previously believed, the IAA said. The approximately 3,300-year-old ship with a cargo of hundreds of intact amphorae was found 90 kilometers off northern Israel's coast, at a depth of 1.8 km...The exciting...

President Biden is the frontrunner in a hypothetical matchup against former President Trump for the first time since October, as positive views of the economy inch up — hitting their highest level thus far in the Biden presidency, according to a new Fox News national survey. Since May, there was a 3-point change in the presidential race. Trump was ahead by 1 point last month, while Biden is up by 2 points today: 50%-48%. That’s well within the margin of error. Beyond improved evaluations of the economy, a range of other events since the May survey could influence small shifts...

For most of the past three decades my favourite American political speech has been Pat Buchanan's keynote speech at the RNC in Houston in 1992. Maybe this recent effort from Tulsi Gabbard is better: "Aloha. What a beautiful sight ........ I feel this sense of hope and inspiration and motivation because you know how serious the task at hand is ...... Our fundamental rights and freedoms, the principles of this great country are under attack ........ We are seeing the fundamental pillars of our democratic republic being undermined ........ It is not up to someone else to fight this battle...

VIDEOAre we a Democracy or a Republic? There has been a lot of debate about this recently as you can see reflected in the eyes of perplexed CNN reporter Donie O'Sullivan from the REPUBLIC of Ireland. However, the matter might have been settled by Nathan Wade. During his Comedy Central appearance, Marlon Wayans suggested that Wade, or at least a part of him, ended Democracy thus leaving us as a Republic only. That suggestion will leave you laughing so' hard that you will forget what the debate was all about. Actually, a better question is did Marlon Wayans end Nathan...

And so luckily, we had a test that we got on Amazon. So I took the test and it was positive,” said Murti Hower. He immediately went to the doctor to get medication.

NATIONAL ICE CREAM SODA DAY On June 20 enjoy a cool, frothy ice cream soda to celebrate National Ice Cream Soda Day! #NationalIceCreamSodaDay There are many claims to the invention of this delicious treat. One such claim was made by a Mr. Robert McCay Green. According to Green, he created the beverage in 1874 in Philadelphia when he ran out of ice for his shaved ice treats. Once he began substituting ice cream, he had a hit on his hands. Green even included in his will that his gravestone read, "Here lies the originator of the ice cream soda." Philip...

President Joe Biden appeared to struggle to climb into the taxpayer-funded Secret Service SUV on Wednesday upon arriving in Delaware, a video shows, the latest visual of a president whom many say is ill-equipped to govern for four more years. A whopping 67 percent of voters believe Biden is too old to serve a second term, Quinnipiac polling found in February. Another poll, from May, revealed that 82 percent of Americans harbor concerns about Biden’s physical and mental health. The Trump War Room X account initially clipped the video, which shows Biden gingerly approaching the SUV. Upon reaching the vehicle,...

As supporters of former President Donald Trump anxiously await his selection for a vice presidential running mate, online sleuths have unearthed evidence of a website domain that may indicate his choice is already made. Users of X on Thursday located a URL tying the former president to Doug Burgum, the popular governor of North Dakota and former Republican presidential candidate who self-funded his run before it came to an end late last year. The friendly, earnest midwestern governor has won plaudits for packaging the MAGA brand in a style that allies of Trump say will appeal to key voters he...

The relentless decline in global fertility accelerated during Covid-19, pushing humanity closer to failing to achieve a replacement-level birthrate—the point below which a new generation is smaller than the previous one. Though the U.S. for decades had defied a trend that saw several prosperous industrial nations fall short of that benchmark, the so-called birth dearth recently has reached the United States. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that, in 2020, the number of children born per adult woman in the U.S. hit an average low of 1.64. Rather than trending up after Covid, the total fertility rate fell to an all-time...

Can the Vatican Ban the Latin Mass? Catechism Says “No”A canonically-approved catechism, supported by many catechisms of the past, answers whether the Vatican has the authority to shut down the traditional Latin Mass.Lately in Rome, the city where rumors are often reliable news, murmurs have been circulating that the Vatican may soon impose a more rigorous edict of suppression for the Traditional Latin Mass, and perhaps for other rites as well (e.g., the sacraments and divine office). Should such an edict appear, it will once again raise two major questions of “practical theology” for universal debate, namely: (a) Does the...

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against a couple who challenged the constitutionality of a Trump-era tax provision, handing the government a victory in a case that had huge potential consequences for the federal budget. At issue was a tax enacted in 2017 to pay for President Trump’s massive corporate tax cut and to prevent off-shore tax dodges. It was challenged by Charles And Kathleen Moore, who were required to pay a one-time $15,000 tax on an investment in India that grew in value from $40,000 to over a half million dollars. Backed by conservative anti-regulatory groups, the couple...
