FBI raids home owned by Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, source says

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A home owned by Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao was raided by the FBI Thursday morning, a source tells ABC7 News.

A neighbor confirmed to ABC7 News that the FBI was in the Lincoln Highlands neighborhood in the Oakland Hills.

Security footage from another neighbor shows the FBI on the property.

The FBI provided this statement Thursday morning:

"The FBI is conducting court authorized law enforcement activity on Maiden Lane. We are unable to provide additional information at this time."

I used to do that a few times a week in my police days. Never did any say that “deadly force” was authorized. Why? Because “deadly force” is always authorized when the law enforcement commits an action that could ‘kill or commit seriously bodily harm to someone’.

The Feds are given very broad, left and rights limits, on what ‘deadly force’ is.
