Special counsel Jack Smith on March 29 asked a federal judge to approve redactions to filings made by a co-defendant of former President Donald Trump. The briefs submitted by Walt Nauta, the co-defendant, contain information that should not be made public, Mr. Smith told U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon. That includes the names of people that government officials may call as witnesses in a trial, the special counsel, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, said.

Sleeping fewer than seven hours is associated with a higher risk of developing high blood pressure over time, according to a study. The current analysis pools data from 16 studies conducted between January 2000 and May 2023, evaluating hypertension incidence in 1,044,035 people from six countries who did not have a prior history of high blood pressure over a median follow-up of five years (follow-up ranged from 2.4 to 18 years). Short sleep duration was significantly associated with a higher risk of developing hypertension after adjusting for demographic and cardiovascular risk factors. Furthermore, the association was found to be even...

Forget selling the Brooklyn Bridge to some gullible Democrat. How about a bridge in Baltimore? Here’s an idea: offer to name it the Donald Trump Bridge if Trump can get it rebuilt in six months? (With the proviso he doesn’t have to put up with any Baltimore/Buttigieg Bureaucratic nonsense.) Who doubts that he could do it? I suspect the building trades, steelworkers, etc., would work overtime at regular wages to make it happen. Because you know why they would.

A second autopsy on Riley Strains has confirmed there was no water in his lungs, the family has revealed, increasing fears that he was dead when he entered the water. The half-naked body of the 22-year-old student was hauled from the Cumberland River in Tennessee on Friday, 14 days after he vanished in Nashville on a night out. An initial police autopsy found no signs of foul play, but no signs that he drowned either after leaving Luke's Bridge Food and Drink at 9.30pm on March 22. Now a second autopsy commissioned by his family has added to the mystery...

President Joe Biden’s Democrat administration is taking flak for prohibiting children from submitting Easter eggs featuring religious artwork for a contest. The event, which is part of the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll, is called “Celebrating National Guard Families” but will not allow submissions to feature symbols related to the holiday that Christians celebrate all over the world, the Daily Caller reported Friday. The 2024 “Call for Youth Art” flyer said: On behalf of First Lady Jill Biden, The Adjutants General of the National Guard are asking youth from National Guard families across the United States and all U.S....

Pop superstar Lizzo has had enough. She's had enough of the "lies." She's tired of being "the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look." "I didn’t sign up for this s— — I QUIT [peace out emoji]," she posted on Instagram. The singer is the subject of a sexual harassment lawsuit by three of her dancers who claim they had been “exposed to an overtly sexual atmosphere that permeated their workplace,” and that Lizzo created a "hostile work environment." She appeared at the Joe Biden mega-dollar fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday night,...

Despite a week of tensions with Israel over its conduct of the Gaza War, Washington is reported to have authorised arms transfers to its ally worth billions of dollars. These include more than 1,800 MK84 2,000lb (900kg) bombs and 500 MK82 500lb bombs, as well as 25 F35A fighter jets, The Washington Post and Reuters news agency have said. The larger bombs have previously been linked to air strikes in Gaza causing mass casualties. The Palestinian ministry of foreign affairs in Ramallah criticised the US for inconsistencies in its positions.

“… Others believe this was a deliberate attack of US infrastructure based on various factors that do not seem to add up. Could it have been an inside job or a foreign agent? The truth will come to light, as it always does. Let me begin by explaining how crucial the Francis Scott Key Bridge was to America’s supply chain. Around 52.3 million tons of international cargo estimated to be worth $80.8 billion passed through the port in 2023. Around 4,900 trucks, carrying around $28 billion in goods, must be rerouted due to the bridge collapse. It is the second...

What used to be her spot to catch some fresh air has become anything but for Bee Bletsian in the building she’s called home for 13 years. Just south of downtown Minneapolis, behind an old brick building on the corner of 5th Avenue South and East 24th street, on a city-owned lot, it’s easy to see why.

WHY THE RESURRECTION IS IMPORTANT "Man," writes Loren Eisley, "is the cosmic Orphan." He is the only creature in the universe who asks, Why? Other animals have instincts to guide them, but man has learned to ask questions. "Who am I?" he asks. "Why am I here? Where am I going?" Ever since the Enlightenment, when modern man threw off the shackles of religion, he has tried to answer these questions without reference to God. But the answers that came back were not exhilarating, but dark and terrible: "You are an accidental by-product of nature, the result of matter plus...

A family member of slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller let Gov. Kathy Hochul “have it” when she stopped by the wake Friday afternoon — telling her “his blood is on your hands,” a source told The Post. The family member “was going crazy on her,” the source said. “He said, ‘We don’t want you here. You’re not wanted here. You have blood on your hands. If you want to do something, change the bail laws,'” the source continued.

Liberals are touting a new study linking climate change and inflation, but economists say that the real causes are more likely to be massive government interventions in the economy purporting to save the climate. Climate activists, including Climate Power — which is spending $80 million to support President Joe Biden in 2024 — have touted the study’s findings, while outlets including The Associated Press, ABC News, Axios, The Los Angeles Times and The Hill have also pushed the study since its release. Democrats on the Senate Budget Committee also promoted the study on X, formerly Twitter, stating thats its findings...

President Biden has sparked outrage by declaring Easter Sunday will also officially become Transgender Day of Visibility. The White House doubled up backlash as it also banned religious imagery in submissions from children of military families taking part in the traditional Easter Egg Roll event, as critics branded the moves an 'attack on Christianity.' Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy led the charge against the move, as he mused 'I wonder how (Biden) came up with that date' by having Easter Sunday clash with the transgender tribute day.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” former Defense Secretary and former CIA Director Leon Panetta called for the Biden administration “to get tough” with Russian espionage in the U.S. to help give the U.S. leverage that it lacks to free Americans detained by Russia and “We’ve got to basically shut him down by playing hardball with Putin with regards to the spies he’s got in this country.” Panetta said, “We have got to play a tough game with Putin to make clear that he’s not going to get away with this kind of game.”

President Joe Biden declared March 31 "Transgender Day of Visibility," the same 2024 date for Easter Sunday. "NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility," the White House wrote in a Friday press release. “It’s really dark without him,” Stephanie Diller tearfully tells me, as she tenderly speaks of her husband, NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, killed in the line of duty Monday. I think of that Friday strangely termed “good” on that hill called Calvary. Although mid-day, the Gospel tells us, “There was darkness over all the earth.” Such sadness so gripped the world that it trembled with spasms of grief as earthquakes erupted. Here was a man of love, goodness, mercy, and truth viciously slain, on that cross, dying for us. This was the teacher who observed, “Greater love than this no one...

The Kentucky Senate sent a bill to Gov. Andy Beshear (D) Thursday that would strip him of his power to appoint people to the U.S. Senate. The bill seeks to hold special elections for Senate vacancies in Kentucky, according to The Associated Press. The legislation’s passage through the state Senate follows the late February announcement that Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), 82, would step down from his position as Senate Minority Leader at the end of the year. Republican state House Majority Floor Leader Steven Rudy, the bill’s main sponsor, has said the legislation doesn’t have to do with McConnell, but...

Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York State Attorney General Leticia James were denied requests to speak at the funeral for slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, Fox News host and Massapequa resident Brian Kilmeade revealed Saturday, citing sources. Hochul's one-time gubernatorial rival blasted their requests. "How completely out of touch and disrespectful — it's about them when you make that kind of request. It really should be about the family," the former Republican Congressman told the outlet. "They can have speak whoever they want to have speak. And if you aren't invited to provide remarks, then you don't try to push...
