Toomas Nakhkur, who led the defense ministry's department for technical policy and weapons development, was suspended after being named an official suspect in an unspecified criminal case, the ministry wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

Sokolov was viewed by Ukrainian forces as a high-value target. The lack of visibility by Russia's top general, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, has additionally caused wonderment regarding...

Remember Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her infamous “You’ll have to pass it to find out what’s in it” idiocy to force Obamacare down our throats? You know, where The Federal Government tried to force you to buy insurance while they hand out free healthcare to illegal immigrants? Well, NY Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is doing the same thing as SanFran Nan. He is going to force a Senate vote on immigration on Wednesday, a bill that no one has read and will not go to committee. As you can imagine, it is a HORRIBLE bill. Of course, Schumer is couching...

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is on track to secure reelection in November against either of his top-polling Democratic rivals, according to a new University of Houston poll. The survey found that, in a straight fight between Cruz and Rep. Colin Allred, the leading Democratic candidate, the Republican incumbent would win by nine points. Alternatively, if Cruz faces Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez, who is also running to be the Democratic nominee, he would secure victory by 10 points. * * * The University of Houston poll is a substantial improvement for Cruz from an Emerson College survey released earlier this...

Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis defended her decision to fire an employee who blew the whistle on attempted abuse of taxpayer funds in her office, saying in a statement Friday she terminated the whistleblower for poor work performance. But Willis sang a different tune about the whistleblower, former director of juvenile diversion Amanda Timpson, in the months leading up to her abrupt termination in January 2022, emails obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. Within a few weeks of learning the news of her first daughters’ diagnosis, she began to blog about her unfolding story of hope and loss. Lindsey's book is called Buried Dreams: From...

Biden’s defiant refusal to secure U.S. borders has again led to violence against Americans – this time the vicious beating of two NYC police officers by a mob of illegal immigrants, who were later released without bail. It is outrageous that our leaders continue to allow non-citizens to hurt Americans and to steal from our citizens – and anyone who supports the McConnell-Schumer-Lankford so-called border “deal” is supporting exactly this kind of insanity.

WASHINGTON, Tuesday, Feb. 2. It is believed here in military circles that a large rebel cavalry force is in the Shenandoah Valley preparing for a raid on an extensive scale. Preparations have been made to receive them. A great sensation was produced in military circles, to-day, by the news from Charleston that the most successful fire at long range upon that city, with projectiles almost noiseless, was maintained by NORMAN WIARD's twelve-pounder light battery steel guns. Since the failure of the large rifled Parrott guns, GILLMORE has been using these overlooked pieces of WIARD, that drifted down to Hilton Head...

Hey Joe! Food inflation isn’t dead yet! The Biden Administration which motto should be “Make Crime Great Again!” with awful crime in big cities, and millions pouring over the border, not to mention providing jobs for foreign workers and not native born Americans, is likely breathing a sigh of relief as food inflation falling to 2.7% year-over-year, still higher than pre-Covid levels under Trump. But at least food price inflation is slowing as The Fed’s money stimulus recedes. But food inflation may not be dead. Cocoa prices climbed to a 46-year high this week in New York as concerns about...

On this date in 1915, three of the Black Hand conspirators who had assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo the previous June were hanged for treason and murder as the World War that assassination ignited engulfed Europe. You could say it was too little, too late. Ironically, the gunman who actually got the Archduke, Gavrilo Princip, was too young to receive the death penalty under Austro-Hungarian law — barely short of his 20th birthday,* a more liberal standard for capital responsibility than even present-day human rights standards require. In fact, that was true of five of the eight student nationalists...

When K Monica Kelly saw that women in Texas had filed a lawsuit challenging the contours of their state’s abortion ban, she posted on Instagram to cheer them on. “I shared how terrible I thought it was, that they weren’t able to get the proper healthcare they needed in their state,” Kelly said. “It never crossed my mind that that was actually going to happen to me soon.” Kelly and her husband spent a year trying to have a second baby. So when they discovered in February 2023 that Kelly was pregnant, the couple was ecstatic. They taught their son,...
