Dishonest, Duplicit and Deceptive: Senate Border ‘Deal’
Real Clear Politics ^ | February 3, 2024 | Shea Bradley-Farrell

Biden’s defiant refusal to secure U.S. borders has again led to violence against Americans – this time the vicious beating of two NYC police officers by a mob of illegal immigrants, who were later released without bail. It is outrageous that our leaders continue to allow non-citizens to hurt Americans and to steal from our citizens – and anyone who supports the McConnell-Schumer-Lankford so-called border “deal” is supporting exactly this kind of insanity.

(Excerpt) Read more at realclearpolitics.com ...

TOPICS: Culture/Society
KEYWORDS:
The deal would allow 4,000 to 5,000 illegals to cross into the U.S. per day before expulsion measures begin. That’s 150,000 per month and 1.8 million per year

Mitch McConnell you are a traitor

The dumbass Senate’s “border deal” means nothing changes. The Pedophile fag in the White House wins again and the GOOBers get the old KY treatment. About all the “deal” does is speed up the “caravans” and makes U.S. citizens out of most the planet’s sewage.

So are there turnstyles on the border to count and is there a buzzer that goes off when it hits 5000?

It should have been to deport 1.8 million per day. On day one bring treason charges to each one in DC who’s voted against securing America’s borders.

The crisis is that the Bidet Regime illegally opened the border. Laws are being ignored, but it gets worse. Taxpayer money is being used to facilitate the illegals arrival into the U.S. through NGOs like the U.N. and Red Cross, and then to resettle them throughout the U.S. after they cross the border. The Rats want them here so they can register them to vote. Not that the illegals will be permitted to vote, but the Rats intend to vote for them in drop boxes and mail-in ballots in November. That’s the plot. What will we do about it?

The U.S. Senate is at the center of the corruption here in the U.S. The Senate cared the least about the 2020 Big Steal. Republican Senators like McConnell and Graham used Trump to win reelection, and then put the knife in his back like he was Julius Caesar. McConnell is the poster child to limit U.S. Senate terms to four years. The treachery of the U.S. Senate can no longer be denied.

BTW, no one will repeal the 17th Amendment. There is far more support to repeal the 16th and 19th Amendments. The 17th Amendment will not be repealed and restore that corruption. Other nations have an upper chamber of the legislature that tempers imprudent change without giving the upper house six year terms. It can be done here.

Even that foul tax bill the goob Mike Johnson is touting as a great bipartisan venture, rewards illegals, Tech billionaires, and of course greedy jerks in Congress. Only a crumb and a middle finger to working Americans.

And of course the 5,000 threshold gives the administration DISCRETION to follow stricter measures, which they wouldn’t actually do

I don’t know which is worse: that our Senators are complicit in the left’s desire to destroy America, or that they really did engage in hard nosed negotiations while holding the trump card of Ukraine aid, and this is the best they could do

“amendments to the Constitution will not change anything, they will never get enacted”

Tax cap amendments might get enacted. If Republicans fight hard for them, Republicans will win votes, and office.

Federal income taxation shall be capped as follows, on income
below the average yearly apartment rent in the District of Columbia, 10%,
below the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 22%,
below the average upper quartile of federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 30%,
below the average upper decile of federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 40%.

[Note 1: All percentages include employee FICA. They do not fully include self-employment tax, so people that pay it might have to in part voluntarily invest in the SS system or partially arrange for their own retirement funding.]

[Note 2: Basing the tax brackets on federal employee pay provides great flexibility for the federal government in times of war and depression because it can increase taxes by cutting its employee compensation. Consider the situation in Ukraine. Governmental pay in Kiev needs to get cut to the bare minimum to maximize defense funding.]

Since federal spending is out of control, tax cuts are not currently possible, but a tax cap is.

The House of Representatives needs to be put on a four-year cycle two years offset from the Presidential four-year cycle by constitutional amendment.

The members of the House have to spend too much time and effort running for reelection.

This would have strong bipartisan support in the House.

No, the solution is to increase the number of Congressional districts and representatives to make them more accountable to their constituents. The House has become too aristocratic already.

The members of the House have to spend too much time and effort running for reelection.
This would have strong bipartisan support in the House.

Nothing requires them to run for reelection other than ego and a desire for power. Serving longer in Congress helps a member to return more federal spending to that district, but if the size of government were decreased, that would become less important. People overwhelmingly distrust Congress, and it is held in low esteem. Gideon J. Tucker's quote remains true: “No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session.”

Dishonest, Duplicit and Deceptive: Senate Border ‘Deal’

This "deal" was developed, NOT TO SECURE THE BORDER, but to allow Traitor Joe and his socialist dems to point the finger and claim "The Republicans won't let us secure the border", when it gets voted down in The House.

This was a move to get Republicans to sign on to the open border and then to blame Trump for not agreeing to the open border we already have.
