Today, supermassive black holes and their host galaxies tell a specific story in terms of mass. But JWST reveals a different story early on. primordial black holes The overdense regions that the Universe was born with grow and grow over time, but are limited in their growth by both the initial small sizes of the overdensities and also by the presence of radiation that's still energetic, which prevents structure from growing any faster. It takes tens-to-hundreds of millions of years to form the first stars; clumps of matter exist long before that, however, and some may directly collapse to form...

The Supreme Court continues to hear major cases involving the administrative state. As federal agencies assert ever stronger powers, the Court is evaluating new questions and reconsidering old ones. This questioning has been phrased mainly in terms of our constitutional founding, and rightly so. As Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in 2013, the âFramers could hardly have envisioned todayâs âvast and varied federal bureaucracyâ and the authority administrative agencies now hold over our economic, social, and political activities.â But when the justices heard their last big administrative-state caseâNovemberâs SEC v. Jarkesyâthey turned to more recent history. In that case, the...

With the "Thelma and Louise" approach the Democrats are taking to the economy, and foreign and domestic policy, it is not hard to see Trump winning the votes to take back the country regardless of who the Democrats nominate. What will the Trump team do differently this time that will ensure the election is not stolen? I have watch the interviews and whatnot and I have not seen anything to make me believe the outcome will be any diffent this time, but maybe I missed something.

Former President Donald Trump led the way alongside the other 2024 Republican presidential contenders at the Iowa caucuses, while also holding back emotion during his victory speech. On Monday night, Trump thanked his family members and paid honor to his late mother-in-law who recently passed away during his victory speech after his win in Iowa. Trump, 77, began mentioning his family members after winning, including Melania Trumpâs mother Amalija Knavs, who passed away last week. Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated his belief that finding a pathway for Palestine to become its own state is ânecessaryâ for Israel to obtain âgenuine security,â while giving remarks in Davos, Switzerland. âThe problem is getting from here to there, and of course, it requires very difficult, challenging decisions,â Blinken said Wednesday at the World Economic Forum, as reported by The Associated Press. âIt requires a mindset that is open to that perspective.â The secretary continued, claiming the biggest concern around security would be Iran and its proxies, including the Houthi rebels in Yemen, as war continues to rage...

A day after President Trump's former National Intelligence Advisor Ric Grenell posted a series of tweets about disturbing U.S. embassy behavior in Guatemala City against its outgoing conservative president, in came the newly elected one, a leftist, and USAID Director Samantha Power sounded as though she had a color revolution going. Her effusive, gushing tweets were unusual for a U.S. official about a Latin American country's election. It started with the waiting, like this was a rock star ready to walk onto the stage: [many Samantha Power tweets, she was there] The backdrop is that this was a bitterly disputed...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then...

Meet New York Cityâs good neighbor. For the last year, Sean Feeney, a finance veteran turned restaurateur, has been quietly padding out his resume with some major dirty work: garbage. Itâs an unsavory business. But in our city where trash is so ubiquitous itâs starting to feel like a coordinated street art project designed to offend the senses, the 43-year-old owner of Brooklynâs Fini Pizza has taken a personal interest in its disposal. Instead of flooding 311 with futile complaints about the muck, Feeney opened his cash register to help clean up his section of Williamsburg and now Downtown Brooklyn...
