No evening of post-Claudine Gay resignation hot takery would be complete without MSNBC’s Joy Reid weighing in. And weigh in she did- by claiming, without evidence, that Gay was “taken out” in order to make room for the guys “who used to have” the presidencies of elite universities in the 50s. Watch as Reid concocts a theory behind Gay’s resignation that requires neither the words “antisemitism” nor “plagiarism”: JOY REID: I do just want to pivot to another thing. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 4-year-old girl and her mother sitting in an SUV in a driveway were wounded late Wednesday night when someone driving by opened fire. Another woman in the SUV, who is related to the mom and little girl, wasn’t hurt, police said. It’s all too much for the child’s aunt, who called the violence “out of control.” “Who shoots a 4-year-old? Who shoots anyone, but really, who shoots a 4-year-old? Multiple times?” Bernadette Fields told News4JAX. “I just don’t know what to do. I’ve never seen it at this level, where so many children -- like I...

Potemkin Joe doesn't want Congress to see the mess that's happening at our Southern border as a result of his open-border policies. Wonder why... Joe Biden's keeping to his priorities in this presidential term he's 'serving' and that means appearances are more important than reality. Which brings us to the border, where a Congressional delegation of 60 is expected to make an appearance in the migrant-surging Del Rio Border Patrol sector, and all of a sudden, the border's empty, under control, almost nobody coming. According to Breitbart News: EAGLE PASS, Texas — With just hours to go before the largest...

SYDNEY (AP) — With fangs that could pierce a human fingernail, the largest male specimen of the world’s most venomous arachnid has found a new home at the Australian Reptile Park where it will help save lives after a member of the public discovered it by chance. The deadly Sydney funnel-web spider dubbed “Hercules” was found on the Central Coast, about 50 miles north of Sydney, and was initially given to a local hospital, the Australian Reptile Park said in a statement Thursday. As the Globe recently reported, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s final expansion of full-scope Medi-Cal went into effect Monday, January 1, 2024, making more than 700,000 illegal immigrants residents between ages 26 and 49 eligible for full health care coverage – at a very precarious time with his $68 billion budget deficit. If Gavin Newsom and the state’s Democrats – who surely flunked basic math – are trying to bankrupt the state, they are going about it correctly. This latest expansion of Medi-Cal will cost $2.6 billion annually on top of the $330 billion budget.

The revealed truth of DEI is that what Ms. Gay represents is an order of magnitude more important than what she actually is. Harvard President Claudine Gay’s recent testimony before the U.S. Congress and subsequent exposure of her academic history have revealed much about the true nature and purpose of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) ideology. The most significant “A-ha!” moment from le affair Gay is that DEI only “works” in noncompetitive environments such as government and academia. The principles of “diversity” and “equity” implicitly assume that entities and organizations will continue along their current trajectory regardless of who’s...

The alarming escalation of animosity toward Christians in America can no longer be ignored. The pro-abortion, anti-family radical Left has sought tirelessly to undermine the nuclear family, religion, and traditional values for years. And it's working. A recent Wall Street Journal poll found that just 39 percent of Americans say their religious faith is very important to them, down from 62 percent a quarter of a century ago. As radical leftists advance their secular agenda, intolerance for those who hold true to Christian values has become increasingly palpable. The recent shooting at a private Christian academy in Nashville by Audrey...

Occasional guest columnist Karl Brauneis writes, "The Threatened and Endangered Species Act actually did more for attorneys and environmental elites then it did for the wildlife it was designed to protect. The few got rich while the working men and woman and the forest itself suffered." In 1974 I was a rookie on the Bighorn Inter-Regional Fire Suppression Crew at Greybull, Wyoming. The crew name was later changed to the Wyoming Hot Shots. As a “new man” I was classified as a Government Service (GS) - 3 and made $3.08 per hour. We also earned overtime pay (time and ½)...

And organizers said they've been inundated with new arrivals the past two weeks.
