California Assemblyman Introduces Bill to End All Taxpayer Funding of Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants
California Globe ^ | January 3, 2025 | Katy Grimes

As the Globe recently reported, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s final expansion of full-scope Medi-Cal went into effect Monday, January 1, 2024, making more than 700,000 illegal immigrants residents between ages 26 and 49 eligible for full health care coverage – at a very precarious time with his $68 billion budget deficit.

If Gavin Newsom and the state’s Democrats – who surely flunked basic math – are trying to bankrupt the state, they are going about it correctly. This latest expansion of Medi-Cal will cost $2.6 billion annually on top of the $330 billion budget.

And if we don’t pay then they’re just going to clog up the Emergency Rooms (even more than they do now).

Newsom must have had a nod from Biden about money for the state because it’s flat broke anything to keep the socialism growth plan moving ahead.

More like to be rejected than become enacted, in California. We shall see.

It’s BS and a paper facade.

Under Federal law, originating the 1970’s, everyone has to be rendered aid at medical facilities.

I went with a friend to Los Gatos Community Hospital, which is not a public entity and there was a frickin line so long in the Emergency room that one fella came running in, threw himself on the admitting table and after hitting the ground exclaimed “I’m having a heart attack”

Nurses refused to help him get up as he continued to lay there feigning his “Fart Attack” telling him he needed to get up and walk into the admitting room where they would check on him.

He continued say “Heart Attack” until finally relenting and getting up quite easily and walking into the admitting room where he his vitals were assessed.

I could see them from the window and my recollection was “He’s fine but, dang! That’s creative”.

He was given a bed and the probably checked on the real reason he was there....ahead of everyone else who had been there 30 minutes or more.

One of the problems with the federal law requiring emergency rooms to treat and “stabilize” Anyone who presents to an emergency room is after the emergency room stabilizes the person where do they go? Are illegals going to agree to be deported to a medical facility in their own country?
This law was too vaguely written and has been abused too long.

doubt we can curb it now.

$200 Billion to CA from the Federal govt. “CARES Act” during COVID (3 years ago)....not really a “surplus”. Technically Gavin still has some of that in the bank as a “rainy day” surplus....he is reluctant to spend it.

Assemblyman Bill Essayli. He’s my rep. He’s the best. Unfortunately he’s outnumbered.

Leftists/"liberals"/progressives don't care about results. If they pass a resolution or law stating something, they claim credit for solving the problem, never mind that it does nothing of the sort.

An example is the California reparations for slavery resolution. They'll never pay them. They can't. But they get credit for caring, for trying, for good intentions--credit and support for the politicians and the useful idiots who vote for them.

Examples of this are legion.

At Stinson Beach there are signs all over the place saying "No dogs allowed". I have never seen so many dogs in one place in my life!

In fact, they like to pass large numbers of laws which are unenforceable so that they can selectively enforce them as persecution of people they don't like.

What's scary is the huge number of people who fall for this ruse, who don't question it, who continue to support these unprincipled politicians blindly, who are their useful idiots, and who among other people are exploited by them.

P.T Barnum war right.

It should be modified to include Public Employee’s also because I believe they deserve the Very Best Healthcare in America, OBAMACARE and they should be privileged to pay for it themselves.

Being that this sane man is outnumbered by the pinko supermajority, this will go nowhere. When will voters of the DPRC wake up?
