CNN — New York City has banned the term “illegal alien” when used “with intent to demean, humiliate or harass a person,” the city said. The city’s new guidelines, announced last week, also ban discrimination against someone based on their English proficiency and threats to call immigration authorities on someone “based on a discriminatory motive.” These violations can result in fines up to $250,000. The guidance is for all public accommodations, employment and housing, the city’s Commission on Human Rights said.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics' monthly estimate of jobs openings showed another decline in unfilled positions in November, leading a series of key data reports that could suggest the job market is weakening further. The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, known as Jolts, showed that around 8.79 million positions went unfilled over the month of November. That's down from the revised total of 8.85 million recorded in October and the lowest overall tally since March 2021. The headline Jolts tally hit an all-time high of 12.027 million in March 2023. The quits rate, which tracks workers leaving their jobs...

As the news emerged Wednesday that House Republicans plan to move ahead with impeachment proceedings against him, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reacted on live TV. Mayorkas appeared on the MSNBC show “Morning Joe,” and as his segment was ending, co-anchor Willie Geist broke the news about a report that the House was expected to launch a full impeachment inquiry against him. Reading a story published Wednesday by Punchbowl News, he told Mayorkas, “‘The House Homeland Security Committee is formally moving ahead with impeachment proceedings’ against you, with the hearing being held a week from today.” “What’s your reaction?” he...

A disturbing surveillance video shows the moment a man allegedly tried to kidnap a 4-year-old boy at a Florida Walmart — but the suspect’s wife claimed he was just “joking.” The footage recorded Friday at the store in Lehigh Acres shows the alleged would-be kidnapper, later identified as Pablo Pintueles Hernandez, 64, walking up to the tot, who was shopping with his family, and grabbing him by the wrist. Hernandez allegedly told the child “Let’s go” before trying to lead him away, but the boy’s relatives quickly intervened and got him away from the suspect, authorities said. Hernandez, who was...

Is Israel making the right move? Their forces have been hell on wheels against Hamas’ forces—they can’t stop the IDF. They’ve split the Gaza Strip in two, slowly degrading the terror groups’ imprint in the region. Hamas is going to be eradicated from the face of the Earth. It’s not a question of if but when at this point. Israeli troops have begun flooding the terror tunnels; they’re knocking off Hamas’ top leadership throughout the region. Whether they be in Gaza City or Beirut, Israel will kill these people after they launched a genocidal terror attack on October 7. Throw...

The resignation of Harvard’s president, Claudine Gay, on Tuesday followed a lengthening catalog of plagiarism allegations that appeared to steadily sap her support among the university’s faculty, students and alumni. But for many of Dr. Gay’s critics, her departure was also a proxy victory in the escalating ideological battle over American higher education. Taking down Dr. Gay was a “a huge scalp” in the “fight for civilizational sanity,” Josh Hammer, a conservative talk show host and writer, wrote on the social media platform X.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — With just hours to go before the largest yet congressional visit arrives at the border in the small Texas town of Eagle Pass, a source within Customs and Border Protection tells Breitbart Texas what they will witness pales in comparison to the migrant surge and grossly overcrowded facilities experienced during the month of December. A nearby soft-sided processing facility designed to accommodate 1,000 migrants that has routinely held nearly 6,000 during the month is now holding less than 500. According to the source, not authorized to speak to the media, the facility has been nearly emptied...

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has reshaped the U.S. political landscape on immigration by busing migrants from Texas to Democratic-led sanctuary cities. Abbott, a Republican, in 2022 began busing migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border to sanctuary cities that protect undocumented immigrants from deportation, amid an influx of migrants arriving to the southern border. There were more than 2.4 million encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border during the 2023 fiscal year, up from roughly 1.7 million in 2021, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The governor has faced substantial backlash over the policy, as critics accuse him of using...

Pursuing power, they’re becoming increasingly afraid of Donald Trump—of normal Americans—and desperate people do desperate things. Just who are the members of the Democrat/socialist/communist (D/s/c) Party? How do their beliefs differ from those of normal Americans? I write “D/s/c” as an umbrella acronym for the Democrat Party, which is largely devoured and directed by its socialist and communist-leaning members. It also encompasses various anarchist and fascist—fascists are leftists—branches such as BLM, Antifa and other charming social organizations, though they’re a bit more overt in their destructive designs. Their view of politicians is at once worshipful and cynical. They tend to...

Since the landmark discovery in 1992 of two planets orbiting a star outside of our Solar System, thousands of new worlds have been added to a rapidly growing list of 'exoplanets' in the Milky Way galaxy. We've learnt many things from this vast catalogue of alien worlds orbiting alien stars. But one small detail stands out like a sore thumb. We've found nothing else out there like our own Solar System. This has led some to conclude that our home star and its brood could be outliers in some way – perhaps the only planetary system of its kind. By...

VIDEOHave you ever noticed how when leftist partisan hacks, such as election "expert" David Becker, appear on C-SPAN they try to present an image of someone above politics who is only seeking the truth? Well, that is exactly what David Becker attempted during his C-SPAN appearance on Washington Journal on January 3, 2024. Unfortunately for him, Laura Loomer exposed him as the leftist partisan hack that he is in May 2023 during a contentious street interview.

On this date in 1946, fascist William Joyce, famous by the nickname “Lord Haw-Haw” for his English-language Nazi propaganda broadcasts, was hanged at Wandsworth Prison for treason. As a pugilistic young anti-Semite with the unusual credential of being a Unionist Irish Catholic, Joyce had been a moving spirit in the interwar British fascist party. (Since audio broadcasts would define Joyce’s life, it seems appropriate to refer the reader for a fuller biography to this recent Oxford biography podcast.) But because time loves a good laugh, it had the guy haranguing his countrymen for insufficient patriotism marked out for the last...

Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie said Wednesday he would not vote for former President Donald Trump in November, breaking his debate pledge with the Republican National Committee (RNC), called the “Beat Biden Pledge.” The broken pledge and refusal to vote for the likely GOP presidential nominee appears to highlight Christie’s thirst to remain politically relevant, considering: Just two percent support Christie’s GOP primary bid, Fox News polling shows. For months, the mainstream media, with The New York Times leading the charge, lied about Officer Brian Sicknick’s death and falsely claimed he died from injuries suffered after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher during the Capitol riot on January 6. ...... (Jan. 2, 2024) — On Tuesday morning, New York State resident and registered voter Robert C. Laity lodged a revised formal complaint with the state’s Division of Election Law Enforcement regarding the New York State Board of Elections’s (NYSBOE) “misstating the criteria for being elected as President of the United States.” The original December 30, 2023 complaint contained a clerical error which Laity corrected in this morning’s submission. NYSBOE members are listed here, with Laity naming co-chairman Peter S. Kosinski in Section 2 of the complaint form in accordance with the instructions. Instead of the Article II, Section 1, clause...
