Last Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer delivered a remarkable speech about the wave of antisemitism that has washed over the United States since Hamas’ massacre of Israeli civilians on October 7.Speaking as “the highest-ranking Jewish elected official ever in American history,” the top Democrat in Congress acknowledged forthrightly that the ongoing spasms of antisemitism are predominantly coming from the far left, not the far right. Many of the people justifying or glorifying the October 7 massacre, Schumer said, “aren’t neo-Nazis, or card-carrying Klan members, or Islamist extremists. They are in many cases people that most liberal Jewish Americans felt previously...

A team of astronomers says they have detected a never-before-heard radio signal that offers insights into the mystery of uncharted deep space. This signal is known as a Fast Radio Burst (FRB), a bright flash of radio light lasting for a few milliseconds and originating from beyond the Milky Way. Some FRBs repeat themselves, and a new study published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society has shed new light. The study has detected a highly active repeating FRB signal behaving differently than anything previously detected. "This work is exciting because it provides both confirmation of known FRB...

The NHL and NHL Players’ Association are investigating a gap in protocol which resulted in Arizona Coyotes defenseman Juuso Valimaki lingering in a Dallas hospital for hours without care last month with a severe facial injury after taking a 93 mph slap shot to the mouth against the Stars. Valimaki, 25, was transported to a Dallas hospital by ambulance from American Airlines Center after an undeflected point shot from countryman Jani Hakanpaa drilled him in the face on Nov. 14. Sources told Daily Faceoff that Valimaki was dropped off in the emergency room, like any other patient, and left to...

It’s that time of the year again: the illuminations have gone up and the first Christmas bucket orders are being placed at KFC. Wait, what? Yes, you read that correctly: Christmas and KFC are completely intertwined in Japan. Around December 25, families gather around the table to eat a bucket of fried chicken for the occasion – something that would be all but incomprehensible in countries with Christian foundations, where Christmas is generally, uh, fast food-free. Orders for buckets of deep-fried drumsticks and breast can be placed from early November, and even then you’ll have to wait in the...

Monumental Sports and Entertainment’s move to Virginia for a new home arena for the Wizards and Capitals is sparking conversation about D.C.’s crime crisis and whether the District’s rise in crime is one reason for MSE’s decision to relocate to the City of Alexandria. Although no one from Monumental Sports and Entertainment (MSE) has said publicly if D.C.’s crime crisis is a reason why they want to build a new arena in the Potomac Yard neighborhood of Alexandria, some people are wondering if rising crime is a contributing factor. 7News asked Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and a D.C. City...

By Javier Simon Sponsored by Credible - which is majority owned by Fox Corporation. Credible is solely responsible for the services it provides.Although the Great Recession impacted the savings of American workers across generations, it delivered a major hit to the retirement savings of the youngest Baby Boomers, according to a study by the Center for Retirement Research (CRR) at Boston College. Boomers born in the early 1960s at the end of that generational wave had saved an average of about $280,000 for retirement when they reached their 50s. That’s nearly $50,000 less than their older counterparts born in the...

Are we fighting in Ukraine in order to “queer the Donbass”? That phrase, which I believe originated with TAC’s editor-at-large Rod Dreher, implies that the ideological package that NATO rallied to Ukraine to defend includes not only freedom and democracy but also pride parades and drag queen story hour. That would, of course, be a ridiculous reason to fight a war. Many Americans don’t want to queer their own kids’ elementary school, much less an industrial Slavic province five thousand miles away. In August 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky pledged that his government would introduce legislation to create civil partnerships for...

As you may recall, on January 6th 2021, I was on air with Tucker as the alleged "storming of the Capitol" was drawing to a close. It was not yet over, but the media had already agreed the Official Narrative - that it was a shameful violation of the most hallowed precincts of "the Citadel of Democracy". I got sick of that shtick almost instantly:Mark Steyn rips media's 'citadel of democracy' framing of Capitol: 'It's a citadel of crap'Ah, but I was wrong. It turns out it's a Citadel of Shags. Headline from The Daily Caller:EXCLUSIVE: Senate Staffer Caught Filming...

At the Washington Free Beacon, Andrew Tobin is tracking down former Israeli peaceniks in order to convey a sense of the impact of the Hamas massacres of 10/7 on them. Today he introduces us to Natali Yohanan, “a 38-year-old mother of two, who never locked the doors of her house in Nir Oz, a kibbutz near Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip. There wasn’t even a key.” And then: “On Oct. 7, a Gazan woman walked through Yohanan’s unlocked front door and made herself at home for hours, eating, singing, and watching Netflix. Sometimes, the woman served drinks to armed...

FDA is not a physician. It has authority to inform, announce, and apprise — but not to endorse, denounce, or advise. Appeals Court.. An appeals court has ruled that the FDA overstepped its authority in telling the public not to use ivermectin to treat Covid. The lawsuit was filed by Dr. Mary Tally Bowden and two others. Dr. Bowden says ivermectin is safe and effective to treat Covid, and, like many doctors, prescribed it to patients. But the FDA controversialized the medicine in infamous tweets that referred to the veterinary form of ivermectin. One tweet read, "You are not a...

DeSantis on Trump/Haley: • Haley refuses to rule out being Trump’s VP, says he absolutely would not be VP • Says he’s the only candidate that can beat Trump, Haley can’t win because she doesn’t have enough support among conservatives and core Republicans — Josh Power (@JoshPower80) December 15, 2023 During an event Friday in New Hampshire, Ron DeSantis challenged Nikki Haley to directly state whether she would consider being Donald Trump's vice presidential running mate. "Haley and Trump spend money against me. He has not spent any money against her and she has not spent any money against him,"...

Today marks the beginning of the largest battle that America n soldiers ever fought in, as well as, writes Antony Beevor, the greatest battle of World War II in western Europe. When I was a kid in Brussels, my elderly teacher was from the town of Bastogne, and had lived as a little girl through the encirclement of the town during the freezing Christmas with the troops of General "Nuts!" McAuliffe to whom the inhabitants handed out their sheets to serve as winter camouflage. Madame Cop loved my mother and often invited my parents to her home for dinner and...

Artificial intelligence models can now create smaller AI systems without the help of a human, according to research published Friday by a group of scientists who said the project was the first of its kind. Essentially, larger AI models - like the kind that power ChatGPT - can create smaller, more specific AI applications that can be used in everyday life, a collaboration between Aizip Inc. and scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and several University of California campuses demonstrated. Those specialized models could help improve hearing aids, monitor oil pipelines and track endangered species. "Right now, we're using...

A woman has told how she lost her life savings after she fell for a sophisticated text scam. When Suni Wan received a message from her bank HSBC saying that there was some fraudulent activity on her account she called them straight back. The text did not seem unusual as it appeared in the same thread that her bank usually messaged her in. The message told her that a new device had logged onto her account and if it wasn’t her to call back immediately. The man on the other end of the phone said that an S8 had logged...

No one wants to talk about Ukraine any more - The SpectatorLionel Shriver writes, what she calls a “seasonal downer” and probably his most depressed view, since the start of the conflict.“This endgame is more likely than ever. I’m not happy about that. In fact, it makes me sick. But the average age of the Ukrainian army is now 43 – a statistic that makes me even sicker.”“They’re running out of young men, not because the young men won’t serve but because they’re dead. Ukrainian women are being sent to the front lines. Russia had nearly four times the population...

ONLY GOD GIVES PEACE The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11 One of the greatest ways God speaks to us and leads us is through the inner witness. In other words, we just know inside what is right or wrong. It is a deeper level of knowing than "head knowledge". This type of knowing is in the spirit...we simply have peace or a lack of peace. By the presence or absence of peace, we know what we should do. I once spoke with a woman...
