Are we headed toward a war with China? Recent developments seem to suggest that things are heading in that direction. Congressional lawmakers are now pressing the Federal Reserve to ‘stress tests’ banks for the ensuing fallout from a potential war with the Chinese Communist Party. Aside from the fact that this indicates Washington D.C. is anticipating conflict, it also calls into question the current health of our banking sector overall. It’s no secret that banks have been failing left and right, while both consumer and national debt have skyrocketed to unsustainable levels. Consumer spending is down in several key areas,...

Harvard’s Corporate Board may have expressed unanimous support for Gay, but it’s pretty clear they did so mainly because they didn’t want to appear weak in the face of donor and political pressure to dump her. They likely also feared that Gay would make a huge stink, likely accusing them of racismsexismblahblahphobia because that is her whole shtick.. Not that they have let me in on their deliberations, but these guys are smart and know that Gay is a liability. They just need a more graceful way to get rid of her. Compared to forcing Larry Summers out for stating...

Israeli soldiers shot and killed three Israeli hostages in northern Gaza after misidentifying them as threats, the Israel Defense Forces said. “During combat in Shejaiya, the IDF mistakenly identified three Israeli hostages as a threat. DURHAM, N.H. — Nearly 100 people gathered to hear Ron DeSantis’ updated pitch for the Republican presidential nomination in the basement of a shared-office center in Windham, New Hampshire, Friday night. After half a year on the campaign trail, the Florida governor is clearly more comfortable than he was during his early foray into this state in June, mixing light humor in with policy proposals like shooting border-crossers. When he first started campaigning here, he didn’t honor the tradition of taking questions from the stage. On Friday, he fielded query after query for long enough that the crowd, most of...

Kool-Aid is a household name today. Nebraska named Kool-Aid as its official state drink in the late 1990s, while Hastings, Nebraska, the city where the powdered drink was invented, "celebrates a yearly summer festival called Kool-Aid Days on the second weekend in August, in honor of their city's claim to fame," notes Wikipedia. If you're an adult, you likely have memories of drinking the powdered beverage on hot, summer days as a child. But, the story of Kool-Aid's invention and rise to popularity is an interesting one—literally a rags-to-riches story.

In a move that has raised eyebrows and stirred controversy, Fairfax County School Board member Karl Frisch was recently sworn into his second term on a stack of homosexual-themed books, a deliberate choice that diverges from the traditional practice of taking an oath on a religious text. Among these books, one notably included graphic content featuring children. This act, symbolic of Frisch’s stance, is a manifestation of the broader debate surrounding the inclusion of such books in school curriculums and libraries. This incident provides a window into the ongoing discourse regarding the appropriateness of LGBTQ-themed books in educational settings. Books...
