A federal prosecutor who allegedly interfered in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden to protect both President Biden and his son recently left the Justice Department, The Post has learned. Former Delaware assistant US attorney Lesley Wolf’s quiet departure emerged as she appeared for a deposition with the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday morning — following the Wednesday night House vote to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden over his role in his son and brother’s foreign business dealings. Wolf’s starring role in the alleged Justice Department coverup of the criminal investigation of alleged tax fraud and foreign-lobbying...

Hundreds of tons of dead fish have been washing ashore in Japan as officials struggle to explain the issue. The Japanese government has admitted that it doesn’t have any answers as to why the fish have started dying in unprecedented numbers. An estimated 1,200 tons of sardines and mackerel were found floating on the surface of the sea off the fishing port of Hakodate in Hokkaido. The dead fish formed a silver blanket stretching for almost a mile. This issue isn’t just limited to one location, however. On Wednesday, officials in Nakiri, a town on the Pacific coast hundreds of...

Coca-Cola has recalled tens of thousands of Diet Coke, Sprite, and Fanta cans after suspicion they may be contaminated with ‘foreign material,’ the FDA said. Nearly 2,000 cases sold in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida since November 6 have been affected. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall in a filing. The FDA said the recall is complete, and no more affected cans are on the market. The contaminated cans were manufactured by United Packers in Alabama, according to The Daily Mail. The recall included 12-ounce aluminum cans, but they did not specify what the ‘foreign material’ was. This...

OK I went to his twitter page to see if he's explained his vote on FISA inclusion in the NDAA and not a peep. It's full of interviews etc. of him being against Free Speech on campuses What is he doing? He might not like certain speech but as a Member of Congress it's not up to him to decide. He's losing the plot with all this. John Cornyn is taking heat on the NDAA (rightly). I still haven't heard anything from Cruz. Perhaps someone from TX can find out what the situation is. He can't hide from this forever!

U.S. mortgage rates dropped below 7 percent for the first time since August, according to new data released Thursday by Freddie Mac. Mortgage rates have been falling steadily for the past seven weeks as inflation has eased, and the latest dip follows signs from the Fed on Wednesday that interest rates could come down next year. “Given inflation continues to decelerate and the Federal Reserve Board’s current expectations that they will lower the federal funds target rate next year, we likely will see a gradual thawing of the housing market in the new year,” said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief...

Elon Musk has plans to open a new university in Texas, according to tax filings. Bloomberg reported the filings show Musk donated $100m to his charity, The Foundation, to establish a primary and secondary Stem school in Austin – and later to seek accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges for launching a university. The Foundation said the curriculum for the school and university would “combine formal instruction by experienced faculty in subjects such as mathematics, science, engineering and physics, alongside hands-on learning experience including simulations, case studies, fabrication/design projects, and labs”. The school initially...

Two men are facing felony charges for conspiracy and unlawful trafficking of bald and golden eagles. The federal indictment accuses Simon Paul and Travis John Branson of illegally killing approximately 3,600 birds on the Flathead Indian Reservation, including eagles, and knowingly selling them on the black market across the United States. According to court documents filed Dec. 7, 2023, during the investigation law enforcement uncovered messages from Branson describing the illegal taking of eagles saying, “out here committing felonies,” and telling buyers he was on a “killing spree.” SNIP

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is on trial in Washington, D.C., this week for defaming Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss in the aftermath of the 2020 election. Giuliani, acting on behalf of former President Donald Trump, accused the mother and daughter of committing election fraud while the two were counting ballots on Election Day in Georgia's Fulton County. U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell in August awarded a default judgment to the two women, leaving this week's trial to determine the full scope of the damages and any penalties Giuliani will have to pay. Netflix’s Leave the World Behind has a white people problem. The Wi-fi is out but that’s not it. The Tesla is acting funny, but also nope. The movie can’t decide how much it hates white people. Sometimes, it’s a little, and sometimes, it’s a whole lot, like when Julia Roberts goes full Karen on the black family that shows up unannounced at the doorstep. Or when husband Ethan Hawke abandons a distraught Latina housekeeper on the roadside. Mostly, this apocalyptic thriller spends more than two hours trying to be artfully “ambiguous” about its Whiteness Studies specimens as the world comes...
