Federal prosecutor who allegedly interfered in Hunter Biden probe leaves Justice Department

A federal prosecutor who allegedly interfered in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden to protect both President Biden and his son recently left the Justice Department, The Post has learned.

Former Delaware assistant US attorney Lesley Wolf’s quiet departure emerged as she appeared for a deposition with the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday morning — following the Wednesday night House vote to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden over his role in his son and brother’s foreign business dealings.

Wolf’s starring role in the alleged Justice Department coverup of the criminal investigation of alleged tax fraud and foreign-lobbying violations is a significant part of the impeachment inquiry — with whistleblowers saying that she discouraged asking witnesses questions “about the big guy” or “dad,” referring to Joe Biden, claiming there was “no specific criminality to that line of questioning.”

She may be the key. Certainly she knows where the skeleton is buried.

No longer an employee, she is a step further away from being required to testify. And, I am sure one of the big lefty law firms offered her a very large piece of cake.

Exactly. He was caught red-handed and this is a way to create some legal distance from legal prosecution. Next step will come a huge book deal or some high paying job in academia.

Not so sure. The rules are different than normal oversight testimony.
She can take the fifth of course, and be given immunity and forced.
Also. Joe’s controllers may have decided that he has become a liability. Dangerous thinking because Joe, or more likely Jill, can bring it all down in a fit.

Wait; I thought being out of the employ of the executive branch made her MORE vulnerable to being required to testify.

Interfered??

Committed multiple “overt acts” in furtherance of a Criminal Conspiracy of Bribery, Money Laundering, Bank Fraud, Wire Fraud...

Until recently this was a crime worthy of 20-30 in the Federal Pen.

Firstly, ‘he’ is a she, and this article has a picture of her face. These people need to be both outed and ostracized: https://heavy.com/news/lesley-wolf-husband-doj/

As a long-time FReeper, I honor the tradition of not reading the full article. Actually, it’s pretty near my duty not to now. And, she neads to be put in prison not merely ostracized.

She probably went to work for a high profile democrat law firm for a 7 figure salary.

They really don’t have to worry about taking the 5th because as a prosecutor performing work activities she would have immunity for just about anything she did on the case.
It would have to be egregious for any coverup to be considered criminal or even illegal.

This is one of the fundamental problems we have with the US legal system. Immunity for government agents, prosecutors and judges puts these people above the law and incentivizes them to cheat, protect themselves and their allies and violate due process rights of political enemies when they are defendants.

She was the fortress guard. She should sit out her days at Allenwood instead of Cheltenham. Immediate disbarment.

“On October 23, 2020, Justice Department and FBI Special Agents from the Pittsburgh Field Office briefed Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf, one of your [David Weiss’s] top prosecutors, and FBI Special Agents from the Baltimore Field Office with respect to the contents of the FBI-generated FD-1023 alleging a criminal bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden,” Grassley’s letter said. “What steps have the Justice Department and FBI taken to investigate the allegations?” the Iowa senator asked before noting his concerns about Wolf’s involvement.

Grassley then highlighted the numerous ways Wolf appeared to have obstructed the investigation into Hunter Biden’s potentially criminal business activities. “IRS whistleblowers have affirmed that AUSA Wolf prevented investigators from seeking information about Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter Biden’s criminal business arrangements,” Grassley said, adding that she also “frustrated investigative efforts” by the IRS agents to question Hunter Biden’s business partner, Rob Walker, about Joe Biden.

Wolf also refused to allow agents to search Joe Biden’s guest house, even though there was “more than enough probable cause,” and she prevented investigators from searching a storage unit used by the now-president’s son, the letter said. In fact, Grassley stressed, Wolf alerted Hunter Biden’s lawyers to the investigators’ interest in the storage unit....”

Republicans Demand Jamie Raskin Apologize for Spreading ‘Lies’ About Biden Probe
Breitbart ^ | 10/27/2023 | WENDELL HUSEBØ

Twenty-four House Republicans wrote a letter to House Oversight Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) on Thursday, demanding an apology for “spreading disinformation” and “lies” after he flatly dismissed allegations that Hunter and President Joe Biden accepted a $10 million bribe.

Raskin, an establishment Democrat who consistently defends and excuses the Bidens’ corruption, recently argued that an FD-1023 form filed by an FBI informant was not credible and that the U.S. Attorney’s office in Pittsburgh terminated the probe into the allegation.
