Everyone knows that the US government is bankrupt and has been for many years. Whenever the chattering classes talk about cuts, it’s only about cuts over the course of 10 years. Which is a dodge, a fraud. Partly because most of the supposed cuts will be scheduled for the end of the period, but also because new programs, new emergencies and hidden contingencies are guaranteed to creep in, offsetting any announced cuts. The anticipated $2 trillion deficit for 2024 isn’t a temporary worst case; it’s the rosiest possible scenario. People thought I was joking when, asked how bad the Greater...

President Joe Biden referenced his terrible tumble on Thursday at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony by trying to explain to reporters why the concerning incident occurred. “I got sandbagged,” Biden shouted at the press, waving his harms, before pretending to jog into the White House. Earlier in the day, Biden fell to the floor of the stage over what appeared to be a sandbag, as Breitbart News reported.

I thank God for people like Kirk Cameron, the actor and children’s author, who often presents a library presentation helping children learn about God, instead of promoting things like “drag queen story hour.”

"By all corporate media accounts, California is a deep blue state. The evidence of this is that the state legislature and governorship have been completely controlled by Democrats for decades. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the last “Republican” to hold a major office in the state, and his status as a Republican is quite questionable."

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

No company is safe from the woke virus and this time customers have become incensed by clothing brand J.Crew for the four tone-deaf words on its new T-shirt aimed at America’s children. The T-shirt appears on the J.Crew website and is priced at a whopping $34.50 as the company targets children. The shirt includes the words, “love is for everybody” on it. Many jumped on Libs of TikTok’s...

It sounds like the ultimate Monty Python scene: A bunch of humorless functionaries review a hilarious script to remove every line that might offend someone. The result is a virtual haiku of disconnected observations without a punchline. That would make for a funny premise if it were not actually happening to comedy legend John Cleese. With a much-anticipated stage remake of the film classic, Life of Brian, Cleese said he found himself under siege by several actors to drop offensive material from the movie. It is a scene being replayed across movie, television and comedy show venues. We are becoming...

A different community member, Nathan Blayz, an African-American Air Force veteran, was sitting in the front row at the meeting and responded to the racial slur made by public speaker, Alex Bielecki. .... The difference in responses to these two individuals cannot be excused under cover of free speech. It is not that the word n___ is offensive in and of itself; rather the context, use, and intention make it so. ...

The May jobs report is out and, under normal circumstances, would led The Fed to raise rates. But these are not normal times, my friends. The US economy (allegedly) added 339k jobs in May. That is the good news. The bad news? While US average hourly earnings YoY cooled to 4.3%, inflation is still roaring at 4.9% (headline) and 5.5% (core). So Americans are still losing ground to inflation. The unemployment rate rose to 3.7% in May while the underemployment rate rose to 6.7%. With unemployment rising to 3.7%, the Taylor Rule implies a Fed Funds Target rate of 10.12%....

Fresh from Winnebago County, Illinois, he seemed to take it all in stride. "Well, in Illinois, I served as a public official for 22 years, as the tax collector and treasurer, so I have a fairly thick skin and dealing with constituents, and working with them, is something that comes second nature to me. I hope to work well, even with the people that have very strong opinions out here also," Rickert told KRCR. " ... He should be up on the dais for next week's meeting. Again, he is not related to Supervisor Mary Rickert.

Who says bromance is dead? Our ever-fickle ex-prez Donald Trump has found a new fave in an old enemy: disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, on whom he basically showered praise from his Truth Social account for his handling of New York’s COVID crisis by contrasting it favorably with that of chief GOP rival Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis. And Cuomo, a founding member of his own fan club, kindly reciprocated, tweeting that “Donald Trump tells the truth, finally. New York got hit first and worst but New Yorkers acted responsibly. Florida’s policy of denial allowed Covid to spread and...

If you thought election interference was bad in 2016 and 2020, just wait. In free societies, you just read the newspaper. In unfree ones, you understand that the meaning of one story can only be found by cross-cutting it with a seemingly unrelated story. Let’s play. Justice tops Manchin by 22 points in new poll on Senate race – The Hill – 5/31/2023 DOJ sues Jim Justice’s coal empire over unpaid fines for mining violations – Politico – 5/31/2023 Sheer coincidence. And if you think it’s not, you’re a conspiracy theorist, election denier, DOJ denier and a spreader of disinformation...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemLuke 11 Jesus and Beelzebul 14 Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. 15 But some of them said, “By Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.” 16 Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven. 17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall. 18 If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom...

One of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov's close allies on Thursday publicly criticised Russia's most prominent mercenary, casting Yevgeny Prigozhin as a blogger who yells all the time about problems, drawing a stern rebuke from a top Wagner fighter. Addressing Prigozhin in a video message using the diminutive of "Zhenya" and the familiar Russian form of you ("ty"), Adam Delimkhanov, a close ally of Kadyrov, told Prigozhin: "If you don't understand, then you can contact us and tell us the place and the time, I we will explain to you what you don't understand," Delimkhanov said of Prigozhin. "You have become...

Homebuying demand has dipped over the last month due to elevated mortgage rates and a scarcity of homes for sale. Average weekly rates hit 6.79% this week, their highest level since November. That has priced many people out of the housing market; the typical U.S. homebuyer’s monthly housing payment hit a record high of $2,651 this week, up roughly $350 from a year ago.

It’s hilarious, and the Left can’t cope. Even NBC News devoted an article to a parody account on Twitter. If you haven’t seen it, please check it out, and if you’re on Twitter—give it a follow. The handle is @AOCPress, called “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Press Release (parody).” It’s riddled with non-stop hilarity, with some tweets that you have to do a double-take because it's content that you could see the real New York socialist parroting on the platform: [...] It's humor that the liberal cannot shake or understand because it exposes the absurdity of their politics. The account has blown up,...

U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said Thursday that Ukraine’s “rightful place” is within the NATO military alliance. Sunak said he agreed with comments made earlier Thursday by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg that Ukraine is on the path toward NATO membership. “I agree with the NATO Secretary-General: Ukraine’s rightful place is in NATO,” Sunak told CNBC’s Silvia Amaro. Britain’s prime minister said that allied nations were sending a “strong signal” to Russian President Vladimir Putin that they would safeguard Ukraine’s security arrangements for the long term. “We want to make sure that we put in place security arrangements for Ukraine for...
