San Bernardino County paid a $1.1 million ransom to hackers who infiltrated the Sheriff's Department computers, officials acknowledged Friday. Last month, the department admitted a hack encrypted many of its files, disrupting systems and blocking access to data. County officials told ABC News on Friday that the county carries insurance for such attacks and its share of the ransom came out to just over $511,000. After negotiating with the hackers, the insurance company and county agreed to pay to restore the system to its full functionality and secure data.

A group of House Republicans sent a letter Thursday to the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) about their concerns with its accreditation standards pushing diversity outcomes. The Daily Caller first obtained the letter to LCME’s Co-Secretaries that mention medical schools are implementing DEI programs after pressure from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). Eight of the so-called "fake electors" in Georgia who were allegedly involved in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the state have accepted immunity in the Fulton County probe into the matter, according to their lawyer. A California school board member reclaimed his seat on Wednesday in a special election after community members petitioned to remove him for speaking out against transgenderism. Several recent Instagram posts from drag queen and trans woman "Maxine LaQueene" featured the official "Paid Partnership with Smirnoff" tags, denoting that the major liquor retailer has hired the biological male for promotional material. In addition to being a promoter of drag and transgenderism, LaQueene is an outspoken LGBTQ activist who had recently been removed from the Texas state capitol building by police for disrupting a legislature vote on a trans bill.
