Watch out, Adam Schiff, Alexander Vinman, Fiona Hill and assorted other Russia/Ukraine hoaxers. Kash Patel is coming for you in a courtroom in Virginia. The former Russiagate investigator for the House Intelligence Committee has filed a $23 million defamation action against Politico for falsely claiming he misrepresented himself as a Ukraine expert and fed lies to Donald Trump about Ukraine — which ultimately led to the then-president’s impeachment. Patel’s suit contends that Politico knew that Schiff, then chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, was “a wholly unreliable source,” a “congenital liar and inveterate leaker [and] a demagogue with an axe...

Early in the morning of March 22, 1699, William Chaloner raged. Chaloner, a convicted coiner, refused the Newgate Jail Chaplain’s plea to show proper penitence, shouting with “more Passion than Piety,” of his wronged state and unmerited destination (according to his anonymous biographer in the one surviving account of his life). In time, he calmed sufficiently to accept the sacrament, and so proceeded to the execution convoy to be borne from Newgate to the hanging tree at Tyburn (now Marble Arch, just to the west of the old City of London). There Chaloner’s fury mounted again, and he shouted to...

The story of Vasquez joining the Ukrainian Army turned out to be fake. In 2022, Newsweek ran a glowing story about an American man who claimed to be a volunteer fighting with the Ukrainian Army. Vasquez claimed in March 2022. that he'd "taken out 7 Russian tanks." Former Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger advocated for Vasquez, urging Twitter to verify his account, and posed in pictures with him. Only the story of Vasquez joining the Ukrainian Army turned out to be fake. "Kinzinger’s favorite Ukraine hero just deleted his account after it came out he is a fraud," Jack Posobiec said....

If you think the Washington government bureaucracy is inefficient now, wait until you experience life under Senate Bill 5274. Democrats are close to passing a bill that strikes a requirement that some civil service employees can read and write in English. SB 5274 ditches the English language requirement for city firefighter, police, or sheriff’s office positions. The same is true for fish and wildlife officer positions. The bill also extends these jobs to allow lawful permanent residents to apply. This latest left-wing equity push neither makes sense nor serves the public. While Democrats pretend you don’t need to understand the...

"There have been health studies done on depleted uranium munitions, it is not a radioactive threat, it is not anywhere close to going into the nuclear realm. This is a commonplace...

The White House on Tuesday pushed back on comments made by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in which he accused the Biden administration of trying to derail former President Trump’s 2024 presidential bid and saying that fentanyl is not a Mexican problem but a U.S. problem. “Right now, former President Trump is declaring that they are going to arrest him,” López Obrador, who is also known by his initials AMLO, said during a press conference. “If that were the case…it would be so that his name doesn’t appear on the ballot.” “I say this because I too have suffered...

A Christian university has agreed to pay $14 million to the family of a student athlete who died from heat stroke after begging for water from coaches during an outdoor “punishment practice.” Founded by a group of Baptist ministers in 1888, University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky., has historic ties to the Kentucky Baptist Convention (KBC), a statewide voluntary fellowship of churches which is linked to the Southern Baptist Convention. (In 2018, KBC dissolved formal association with the university.) The school settled last week with the family of deceased athlete Grant Brace. Brace was 20 at the time of...

The leader of a watchdog group that monitors Christian persecution in China said he's seeing echoes of the Chinese Community Party "playbook" in the U.S., and he's worried it’ll get worse. Bob Fu, president of the U.S.-based non-governmental Christian nonprofit ChinaAid, said he's seeing the same tactics in Western nations that the CCP uses to crack down on churches. "The similarities are very, very striking between the Chinese Communist way of persecution and the American leftist way of restriction and even discrimination," Fu told Fox News Digital. Fu said he has observed with concern how the left in the U.S....

Cruz claims that while her mother was under the state's care in 1985, she was raped by a caretaker. Cruz alleges that the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities failed to report the rape or "seriously" investigate her mother's pregnancy. The lawsuit says Cruz was able to positively identify...

I’m no dreamer. I always face reality. Former President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis don’t especially like each other. They are two competitive, mega-successful leaders. They both have big egos (well earned). They both believe they should be the one to save America. But so what? Former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush didn’t especially like each other in 1980. But they united for the good of the GOP and the country. That gave Reagan two landslide victories, and Bush followed as president. That’s the ticket to save America today: UNITY. With the GOP divided and Democrats in...

This isn’t news to anyone who has been following the pot business in California. Not the “legal one” which proved to be a mostly worthless boom up there with cryptocurrency. The illegal one though is increasingly looking like it’s Made in China even when it’s grown in America.Mexican cartels have a long history of importing, growing and redistributing illicit cannabis in the United States. But Chinese investors, owners and workers have emerged in recent years as a new source of funding and labor for illegal marijuana production. What is...

ZURICH—The chairman of Switzerland’s largest bank received an urgent call last week. On the other end were three top Swiss officials who delivered an ultimatum dressed up as a proposal. UBS Group AG UBS needed to rescue its failing rival, Credit Suisse CS Group AG. For any country, it would be a financial emergency. For Switzerland, the stakes verged on existential. Its economic model and national identity, cultivated over centuries, were built on safeguarding the world’s wealth. It wasn’t just about a bank. Switzerland itself needed rescuing. It was Thursday, barely 24 hours into an escalating banking crisis and Credit...
