Dr. Anthony Fauci was shown laughing off the widely accepted lab-leak theory as “molecularly impossible” in a new documentary — while also saying he would’ve implemented quarantines and mask mandates sooner. The then-White House adviser was followed by PBS throughout 2021 and 2022 as he became a polarizing figure while leading President Biden’s response to the pandemic. In it, he railed against Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) “insidiously” suggesting in Congress in July 2021 that his National Institutes of Health had funded gain-of-function research at the lab in Wuhan where COVID first emerged. Fauci confirmed that the “number of experiments that...

Recently, actor-cum-commentator Ben Stein was condemned in media for touting the "progress" the U.S. has made and saying that black Americans "never had it so good." One website called his remarks a "racist rant" even though he was, in keeping with his personality, just calmly expressing his opinion. The worst thing about this story, though, isn't that Stein may become a cancel-culture casualty. In fact, the matter reminds me of philosopher G.K. Chesterton's observation that the worst aspect of duels wasn't that someone might die, but that they settled nothing about who was right or wrong. For as is always...

The question becomes how to engage in asymmetric warfare to ensure that California’s progressives spend far more money on defense than their attackers spend on offense. In this manner, even if the political battle is lost, the money is well spent. Mandatory union dues-Voters rejected Proposition 32, but proponents spent $10 million, whereas the union defenders spent over $108 million. That’s $98 million that did not flow into the other U.S. elections in the 2012 cycle.

“You can tell a politician is lying when they claim they want fairness for all. They're part of and represent an unfair elite who will never share their wealth, power or opportunities with the underclass.” -Stewart Stafford Conservative Americans have for a long time realized that the majority of their representatives in Congress, in both the House and the Senate, are squishes; men and women without the courage of their stated convictions. They fear the leftist media so much more than they fear their own constituents, for whom it seems they only have contempt. There are exceptions, of course, and...

Whatever you think of Mexico's leftist president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, there's no disputing he knows every dirty trick in the third world playbook, having been on the receiving end of at least some of it. He's watching what's going on in the U.S. now, with Manhattan's "let-'em-all-out" district attorney, Alvin Bragg, seeking to indict President Trump on felony campaign finance charges, and smells the stench of 'banana republic' all over it. According to Newsweek:Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday defended Donald Trump, saying a potential indictment of the former president could be a move to prevent him...

A large majority of Americans in a new poll said they find it believable that former President Trump paid adult-film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election to keep her from talking about an alleged affair between the two. Seventy percent in the Reuters-Ipsos poll released on Tuesday said they find the allegations at the center of the Manhattan district attorney’s probe into the former president to be very or somewhat believable. While most Democrats — 89 percent — said they found the allegations believable, while 50 percent of Republicans also agreed that the claims against the former president...

The warm Arctic-cold Eurasia (WACE) climate pattern is the main feature of winter temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere in the last 20 years. Extreme cold events related to this pattern have occurred frequently there. The ability of climate models to simulate WACE directly affects the skill in simulating winter temperature. Past studies have shown that previous generations of climate models were poor at simulating midlatitude atmospheric response to sea ice, making them simulate a weaker than observed WACE. Now, scientists from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Meteorological Administration and Nanjing University of Information...

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” that it was more than he could stomach listening to Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) discuss “equal justice.” McCarthy told reporters, “We’re not coming here to defend President Trump. We’re coming to defend equal justice.” Schiff said, “There was Kevin McCarthy saying I’m not defending him, but let me defend him. More than just him defending him on that stage, he has directed the chair of the Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan to essentially, investigate the Manhattan district attorney. Jordan, and other Republican chairs have written to the DA demanding documents,...

(Last Updated On: March 15, 2023) NATIONAL BAVARIAN CREPES DAY Serving up a light and airy dish, March 22nd annually recognizes National Bavarian Crepes Day. #BavarianCrepesDay Bavarian crepes are a delicious, very thin pancake-like dessert. They are typically made from wheat flour or buckwheat flour, then filled, rolled, and then often topped with a glaze, fruit, chocolate or whipped cream. In Bavaria, crepes are called palatschinke. While similar to a French crepe, the Bavarian crepe batter doesn’t need to rest before using. Both types of crepes lend themselves to delicious desserts and fresh breakfast settings. They even make for a...

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell can rest easy for now. The recall petition that was organized in an attempt to oust her from office failed because it did not collect enough signatures. The total number of signatures on the petition fell short of the necessary number needed to proceed with the recall process. If enough signatures had been collected and verified, the voters would have had the opportunity to go to the polls and vote on the matter. Alas, it was not meant to be. According to Orleans Parish Registrar of Voters Sandra Wilson, recall organizers collected just 27,243 valid...

Amid all the back and forth between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, you would think we’re down to the last two candidates for president and that it’s almost November. However, there are three declared Republicans in the race, and more are on the way. Along with Trump, you’ve got Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy. DeSantis hasn’t even declared but his recent rhetoric – including finally responding to Trump as dismissively as Trump’s childish insults deserve – shows you can expect him to (probably after Florida’s legislative session is over). Other candidates are expected to jump in, and that includes Senator...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)“Amen, amen, I say to you, the Son cannot do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing; for what he does, the Son will do also. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything that he himself does, and he will show him greater works than these, so that you may be amazed.” John 5:25–26The most central and most glorious mystery of our faith is that of the Most Holy Trinity. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one God yet three distinct Persons. As divine “Persons,” each...

Roughly two years ago, Biden issued an executive order that went relatively unnoticed and has been mostly forgotten by now, but which endangers the integrity of our elections. Executive Order 14019 instructs federal agencies, some of which are unrelated to election administration, to collaborate with external private groups to “promote voter registration and voter participation.” As innocuous as this sounds on its face, the White House is emulating billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s efforts to influence the 2020 election and turning it into a publicly-funded operation. That’s right: who needs Zuckerbucks when taxpayers like you can fund Democrat voter outreach? And before...

I don’t think you should send your kids to any universities. [I told] my daughter, “Don’t go to college. Become an electrician.” I never would have imagined 10 years ago that I would [say] that. … It’s better to stare at a wall … [or] do nothing than to learn things that are false. -- Peter Boghossian, former Philosophy Professor Portland State University, Feb. 28, 2023It is astonishing when a liberal philosophy professor tells people, including his own daughter, not to go to university because they have become “indoctrination mills.” Many other types of professors can make a living outside...

EXCLUSIVE: Footage taken by Fox News this week shows how Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are releasing busloads of Chinese nationals into the U.S. interior, just as the U.S.-Mexico border is seeing a 900% surge in encounters with migrants from the communist regime. Two busloads of migrants were released to a non-governmental organization in Brownsville, Texas. CBP sources told Fox they are being released with notices to appear (NTA) because there are so many crossing and no more space to house them. Migrants released with NTAs are given a court hearing for their immigration cases, which can take between four...
