MADISON, Wis. -- What might be a victory for some kids is being seen as an issue for some parents. Madison's Common Council voted to remove an 11 p.m. curfew for juveniles in the city in a meeting on Feb. 28. District 15 Alder Grant Foster introduced an ordinance to repeal the current prohibition. "I felt like there was no good purpose to have it on our books," Foster said. "They're not doing anything wrong. They're not causing any problems just because of their age. If they're standing on a city street on the sidewalk, they're in violation." Not everyone...

Rep. Eric Swalwell (R-Calif.) slammed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) at a Judiciary subcommittee hearing on Thursday about “compliance with committee oversight,” pointing out that the chairman of the Judiciary Committee previously failed to comply with a congressional subpoena. “I think it’s quite rich that we are talking about subpoena compliance under a chairman of a full committee who was absolutely out of subpoena compliance in the last Congress,” Swalwell said. “So, we’re going to haul witnesses in here today and claim that they did not comply with subpoenas or requests,” he continued. “And that request is so rich because it’s...

On the third anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus is still spreading and the death toll is nearing 7 million worldwide. Yet most people have resumed their normal lives, thanks to a wall of immunity built from infections and vaccines. The virus appears here to stay, along with the threat of a more dangerous version sweeping the planet. “New variants emerging anywhere threaten us everywhere,” said virus researcher Thomas Friedrich of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. “Maybe that will help people to understand how connected we are.” With information sources drying up, it has become harder to keep tabs on...

The woman in the picture above is Rep Sylvia Garcia (D-TX). Although there was great competition for the it, she clinched the title of biggest clown at the circus staged by democrats yesterday. And that competition was pretty stiff. What democrats did yesterday was a demonstration of why they should never ever be granted control of anything, let alone the country. With every minute and every witness, their true fascist hair color grew in. Whether it was trying to learn from the Twitter files or uncover the origins of COVID, they did their absolute best to steer the country away...

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday she’s tracking Silicon Valley Bank’s problems as it deals with big losses.“You mentioned Silicon Valley Bank,” Yellen said, as she responded to a lawmaker while testifying before the House Ways and Means Committee.“There are recent developments that concern a few banks that I’m monitoring very carefully, and when banks experience financial losses, it is and it should be a matter of concern.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors are employing an unusual strategy to prove leaders of the far-right Proud Boys extremist group orchestrated a violent plot to keep President Joe Biden out of the White House, even though some of the defendants didn’t carry out the violence themselves. As they wrap up their seditious conspiracy case, prosecutors are arguing that Proud Boys chief Enrique Tarrio and other leaders of the group handpicked and mobilized a loyal group of foot soldiers — or “tools” — to supply the force necessary to carry out their plot to stop the transfer of power from Donald...

Tucker Carlson released explosive video on Monday from his investigative reporting on the more than 40,000 hours of government video from January 6, 2021 at the US Capitol. Since Monday he has released NO NEW VIDEO. This comes after numerous threats from Democrats, the government and Uniparty members who wish to keep the truth of January 6 hidden from the American public. For over two years the American public has been lied to by their government, the government-media alliance, and DC politicians. Here are FIVE excruciatingly vicious videos from January 6 that the government does not want you to see....

Mexico’s president said he would call for all Hispanics to not vote for Republicans, because they are members of a “corrupt, inhumane, and hypocritical” party. The harsh words come as U.S. politicians call for a stronger response to Mexican cartels, particularly after the recent fatal kidnappings of four Americans. “If they don’t change their attitude and think they are going to use Mexico for their purposes with propaganda, elections, and politicking, we are going to call for [people] to not vote for that party, for being interventionist, inhumane, hypocrite and corrupt,” said Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO). Lopez...

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman says the US government should consider a "highly dilutive" bailout of Silicon Valley Bank amid jitters about its financial position. The bank's failure "could destroy an important long-term driver of the economy as VC-backed companies rely on SVB for loans and holding their operating cash," Ackman said in a series of tweets on Thursday. "If private capital can't provide a solution, a highly dilutive gov't preferred bailout should be considered," he said.

On Thursday morning, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) held a hearing featuring FBI Director Christopher Wray, among other representatives from the Biden administration, to learn about threats to U.S. National Security. But when it came time for Wray to answer questions from House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the FBI director suddenly found himself at a loss for words. Noting that another House subcommittee had made some 50 different requests for information and documents related to the FBI's operations, Stefanik explained that to date, the FBI had still not complied with those long-outstanding requests. "The FBI...

The 419-0 vote was final approval of the bill, sending it to President Joe Biden’s desk to be signed into law.

The proverbial Martian would find contemporary discourse about race in the West peculiar, even paradoxical. On the one hand, many modern intellectuals insist that race is a pernicious reification of superficial human differences that has been decisively refuted by modern science. On the other hand, many of these same intellectuals obsess about racial disparities and injustices and actively promote policies that treat people of different races differently (e.g., affirmative action). Thus, mainstream discourse simultaneously contends that belief in race is an anachronistic superstition and that racial equality is an ethical imperative that can only be achieved through racially conscious policy...

An ancient Pharaonic temple filled with hieroglyphic-enscribed blocks has been uncovered in Sudan, according to a press release from late February. The discovery came during excavation efforts in the ancient citadel of Old Dongola, Sudan, by the Polish Center of Mediterranean Archaeology and the University of Warsaw, led by Dr. Artur Obluski... During the dig, archeologists unearthed stone blocks containing pharaonic hieroglyphic inscriptions. The expedition's egyptologist, Dr. David. F. Wieczorek, identified the finds as elements from what appears to be a pharaonic temple, a conclusion strengthened by analysis of the script and the dressing technology used on the materials."This is a unique...

“I don’t quite understand what Substack is,” mutters Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) at one point, which underscores the idiocy you are about to watch. The House Weaponization Subcommittee decided to call Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger to discuss their publication of the Twitter Files, which apparently was so great a threat to democracy (according to Garcia and her fellow Democrats) that, er … none of them bothered to find out what Substack was, nor glean what and when both Taibbi and Shellenberger published and in what sequence. Get ready for seven minutes of brain-warping idiocy on those points, on top...

It's a rather controversial topic among shooters as there isn't much consensus on how to do it. There's a formula for constant noise, like one would experience while operating a bulldozer 8 hours a day, etc. That formula, IIRC, is NRR (the noise reduction of muffs, for example) minus 7. That result divided by 2. But that formula doesn't apply to short duration, instantaneous noise as in a gun shot. If the shooter is wearing electronic muffs with the NRR of 30dB, and he's shooting a firearm that produces 175dB, then the dB noise reaching his ears is 145dB? Or...

German "Church" Officially Approves Same-Sex "Blessings" - a Moment of Schism and Collapse of the Universal Church "Et in unam, sanctam, catholicam et apostolicam Ecclesiam..." -- we proclaim our belief in the marks of the Church every Sunday in the Creed.Minutes ago, the parliamentary assembly of German bishops and radical lay activists gathered under the name of "Synodal Way" officially approved "same-sex blessings". As reported by Jonathan Liedl: Once again, German schismatics and apostates bring the Church to a moment of collapse and crisis. WE ARE NOT IN COMMUNION WITH THIS nonsense, whatever this is. May God send fire...

A letter from God… My Dear Children, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart, for I have seen that many of you have strayed from the path I have set before you. You have embraced greed, sexual immorality, and all sorts of evil, while abandoning prayer, worship, and holiness. This grieves me deeply, for I have always loved you and desired the best for you. You live like the heathens around you, embracing their ways. In Revelation 3:15-16, it is written, “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold...

I’ve noticed the last few days when hitting news/activism or EVERYTHING ELSE which is how I normally browse the threads of the day, it comes up blank and says “your query returned no results”. I’ve tried everything browser related clearing the history, cache and cookies. Even did an update. Then I tried Safari browser on my iPhone and the same issue. I just realized if I sign out the threads appear as normal. As soon as I sign in, the same black screen and error prompt appears.

Democrats are using tax-exempt and allegedly nonpartisan nonprofits to conduct voter registration campaigns targeting likely-Democrat voters in key battleground states.A new report reveals how the left has been actively weaponizing nonprofit organizations, which are legally required to function as non-partisan, to conduct explicitly partisan voter registration campaigns to help Democrats win elections.Released by Restoration of America, the two–part report unveils how Democrats employ tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofits to administer voter registration campaigns targeting likely-Democrat voters in key battleground states and districts. Notably, federal law expressly prohibits partisan voter registration through nonprofits: “voter education or registration activities conducted in a biased manner...

A recent Twitter trend has reignited a debate within the LGBTQ community. The debate involves the lesbian and gay members who are resisting the tendency of queer theory–an ideology advanced in higher education–to present conflicting, even regressive messages about the ability to find love in same-sex relationships. “[I]n the last week,” one Twitter user writes, “I have seen a huge surge of ‘I am now anti-trans because someone told me I wasn't allowed to have genital preferences.’”
