Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer took a shot at New York’s political leaders over the weekend for the state’s high taxes, saying that he wants the next team that he plays for to be in a state with a much friendlier tax code. Sports Illustrated explained that part of Poyer’s frustration with New York’s high taxes is the fact that his career in the NFL only recently exploded, despite being over 30. As a result of his recent success, the $5.6 million he earned in 2022 was more than he earned the three previous years combined. “A lot of people...

No mathematical calculations justify a San Francisco committee’s recent proposal to provide $5 million in reparations to long-term black residents of the city, according to a report by the Washington Post. As Breitbart News reported last month, the committee, formed in 2020 amid the Black Lives Matter movement, “proposed that each long-term black resident of the city receive $5 million, though California entered the Union as a free state in 1850.” The proposal came despite the fact that the city is facing a staggering budget deficit as businesses and residents have fled.

Over a dozen Virginia legislators, including the long-serving Senate Republican Leader Tommy Norment, have recently ruled out seeking re-election this year under maps overhauled during the latest redistricting cycle. Norment and legislative veterans Democratic Sen. John Edwards and Republican Del. Kathy Byron are among the General Assembly leaders and committee chairs who most recently have announced retirements timed to the Saturday close of the regular legislative session. The combination of departures, coupled with incumbents who could be knocked out in upcoming primaries, may mean a turnover of 15%-20% of the General Assembly membership before the start of next year’s session,...

The December CoreLogic Case-Shiller home price indices are out … for December 2022. And it shows that the CS National home price index growth continues to slow as The Fed tightens its monetary noose. Five Ways the Trainwreck Revealed the TrainwreckWhen Americans see footage of derailed trains in their communities, they’re reminded of the trainwreck in the White House.“While this, uh, horrible situation has gotten a particularly high amount of attention, there are roughly 1,000 cases a year of a train derailing,” Secretary Pete Buttigieg said, attempting to reassure Yahoo Finance viewers in a video posted February 16 that the catastrophe in East Palestine, Ohio, is really not so bad in the grand scheme of things. It had taken almost two weeks before news of the trainwreck penetrated Buttigieg’s bubble. Touring among allied journalists,...

Chris Sununu, the New Hampshire governor and potential presidential candidate who once joked that former President Donald Trump is “fucking crazy,” backpedaled and pledged recently to support Trump if he’s the nominee in 2024. Nikki Haley, offered a similar chance to distance herself from the former president, insisted she doesn’t “focus” on him. Vivek Ramaswamy, the anti-woke entrepreneur and most recent entrant into the race, went so far as to say he’s “not running against President Trump” at all. He is, of course. Every candidate in the emerging GOP field will be. That they can’t quite acknowledge as much underscores...

Operatives of the Taliban government in Kabul are trying to identify and retaliate against Afghans who cooperated with the 20-year American military and reconstruction effort, using fingerprint records, gun records and other methods to sniff them out and target them for retribution, according to a U.S. government report. Eighteen months after President Biden withdrew the last U.S. combat forces from Afghanistan, the radical Islamist regime remains intent on revenge against those who served in the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said in a survey being released this week.

A Fox News survey showing former President Trump leading Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by 15 points among Republican presidential primary voters is the latest cause for heartburn among Senate Republicans who don’t think Trump can win a general election match-up against President Biden. Predictions by key Senate Republicans that Trump would fade as the 2024 election approached are being upended, putting pressure on party leaders in Washington to consider embracing the former president once again. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and other Republicans blamed the “chaos” surrounding Trump for the party’s disappointing performance in the 2022 midterm election. Some...

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18 (King James Version) The reason there is still an emergency order over Cold-19 is to keep the Experimental mRNA Gene Therapy Treatment from having to be approved by the FDA. Without this emergency order there is absolutely no legal way the mRNA can be approved with its terrible testing record. Most of the animals and humans they tested this compound over the decades on, died or had serious side effects disabling them in horrific fashion. The Fauxi Clot Shot...

Throughout the vast history of warfare, there have been certain conflicts which have served as key hinge points in the advancement of military science. The foreshortened lens of history beguiles us with the view of wars as static monoliths: two sides slugging it out to a certain conclusion. We see entire years, or even decades, compressed into short highlight reels—whether literal in video form, or the textual equivalent; history books whose chapters gloss over years in a few choice and pithy gestures. [Snip] But most major and lengthy wars, in fact, incur seminal advancements throughout their course, such that the...
