Taliban using fingerprints, gun records to track down Afghans who assisted U.S., audit finds
Washington Times ^ | Feb 27, 2023 | Stephen Dinan

Operatives of the Taliban government in Kabul are trying to identify and retaliate against Afghans who cooperated with the 20-year American military and reconstruction effort, using fingerprint records, gun records and other methods to sniff them out and target them for retribution, according to a U.S. government report. Eighteen months after President Biden withdrew the last U.S. combat forces from Afghanistan, the radical Islamist regime remains intent on revenge against those who served in the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said in a survey being released this week.

This administration intentionally left the tools to allow them to do so. Shameful.

"Every American should be ashamed! Who will trust us in the future?"

The Ukrainians??? They trusted us, and 40% of the population has fled their own country, they have lost their industrial heartland, they sit in the dark freezing it winter time hiding from press gangs, and take comfort in the fact that they will fight to the last Ukrainian. Yay 🇺🇦!!!

The kind of "trust" we should have built in Afghanistan is "trusting" us to tear up a country after a 9/11 style attack on us.

In a way we did that, but nobody talks about it like that. They killed a few thousand of us. I believe 140 thousand of them have died. But we don't talk about it like "see what happens to countries that support terrorist regimes that attack us". If I had my way Bush would have been more aggressive. But we can't change the past. What we can change is the message about it. We can use the many dead in Afghanistan as an example of why not to attack us.

Lemme guess: They found a flashdrive of the biometric database.

Way to go, Brandon/Milley.

“Ashamed, bs, we sacrificed enough for that $hithole.”

So, you’re OK with leaving the Afgans who helped us behind to be slautered by the Taliban? Wow. I was for getting out of Afganistan, but the way we did it was disguesting.

You have to square yourself with the fact that Afghanistan has the government most men in Afghanistan will fight for. It’s disgusting, but decades of deployments and billions of tax dollars didn’t change it. We doubled their population under our occupation, and they wanted to go back their ways. Let them.

The warlords weren’t giving up the opium crops. Plain and simple.

What kind of horrible regime would copy the despicable actions of Canada and The United States January 6th commission (hallowed be their name)?

Trudeau did it. The white house did it. China does it. And now the criminally insane, cave-man like taliban is doing it.

About time they caught up.

Neither were we. Those fields should have been destroyed and chemically made inert for any future crops. Was it CIA who directed that they be left untouched?

Biden/Obozo and the Dems have probably given the Taliban free access to FBI/DOD print records to aid them.
