SARASOTA [Florida] — Doctors and nurses at Sarasota Memorial Hospital are sounding the alarm over a toxic work environment, including threatening and abusive behavior by senior physicians. Staff members also tell The Florida Standard that patient safety is at risk, with overworked personnel and dangerous treatment decisions. For fear of reprisal, staff members at Sarasota Memorial spoke to The Florida Standard under condition of anonymity. One of the most remarkable incidents involves a complaint against Dr. Daniel B. Case, who was accused of harassment by a staff member concerning the employee’s choice of not getting vaccinated, according to a copy...

Wrong administration. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mistakenly referred to President Biden as “President Obama” off the top of her Thursday briefing. Jean-Pierre’s slip came as she announced that the president had nominated former MasterCard CEO Ajay Banga to lead the World Bank. “So today, as you all saw just an hour or so ago, President Obama announced that — um, pardon me, President Biden!” Kean-Pierre quickly corrected herself amid gasps and laughter from the White House press corps. “Whoa! Ahem, that is news,” she said. “I know, I know. We’re going back, not forwards. We got to go...

A man was arrested for smearing feces on a woman’s face. According to police, the offender laughed and said, “Sh*t happens, haha.” However, once he got to Riker’s Island, one inmate delivered “prison justice” and gave the man’s face a “permanent makeover” that he will have for the rest of his life.Career criminal (and alleged illegal alien) Frank Abrokwa's mugshot New Yorkers, who are accustomed to violent crime, were outraged over the video footage of a man smearing human feces on a woman’s face in an unprovoked rush-hour attack inside a Bronx subway station. The 43-year-old victim was sitting on...

While vapid, childless celebrities like Chelsea Handler disseminate weird propaganda through corporate media to reassure themselves and their peers that their lack of reproduction is somehow an enlightened act of self-fulfillment, objective reality says otherwise. It turns out, researchers have quantified the proportion of childless women whose status was intentional, and the number is extremely low. ... Who are the childless and how many of them wanted children? The closest we can come is a 2010 meta-analysis by the Dutch academic Prof Renske Keiser, which suggested that only 10% of childless women actively chose not to become mothers. That leaves...

Moldova dismissed an accusation by Russia's defence ministry on Thursday that Ukraine planned to invade the breakaway Moldovan region of Transdniestria after staging a false flag operation, and called for calm. The defence ministry said the purported plan by Ukraine - which borders Moldova - posed "a direct threat" to Russian troops in the Russian-speaking region. "The armed forces of the Russian Federation will adequately respond to the impending provocation of the Ukrainian side," it said in a statement. It added that Ukraine planned to stage an attack by purported Russian forces from Transdniestria as a pretext for the invasion.

Cultural guerrilla warfare means that the freedom community uses its extensive advantages against the disadvantages of the anti-freedom far-left. The basics start with making it fun for several reasons — beginning with being a happy warrior, and sometimes because you'll just have to laugh, or you'll cry. But there are other reasons as well, mainly because it will tick off the fascists of the far left to no end, given they have the false impression of themselves having a lock on humor. What is even funnier is that we are directly using several of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" against...

Many stakeholders are pinning their long-term storage hopes on lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery storage solutions, with this market expected to grow by almost 20% per year between 2022 and 2023, according to Precedence Research. But the reality is that, although Li-ion batteries have an important role to play on the road to net zero, this technology is neither robust nor versatile enough to single-handedly fulfill energy storage requirements. As a result, a diverse range of alternative grid-scale solutions that can deliver an unprecedented expansion in storage capacity are needed to offset our reliance on Li-ion batteries and drive the renewable energy...

It has to count as one of the strangest PR campaigns in memory: using a pile of corpses to make your case to the powers that be. That’s what Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, appears to have done this week in an unusual public appeal for ammunition for his fighters in Ukraine. And in the process, he has cast a harsh light on his open feud with Russia’s military leadership on the eve of the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. On Wednesday, Prigozhin posted a picture on Telegram showing the bodies of several...

"The problem is nobody is going to put up their hand to volunteer to be the half that has to go." James Cameron is not only a Hollywood director known for box-office hits like Titanic and Avatar, but also a devout environmentalist on a mission toward a green Utopia — well, in theory, at least. His "solutions" sound more like crimes against humanity, so now that I think about it, I guess "climate communist" is a better term. Cameron is currently in the midst of a media blitz for his new film, and in an article for Time Magazine, which...

Joe Biden acquired his job through a legal process. However, he did not earn enough verifiable votes to justify the certifications in six key swing states. This issue is addressed in my new book, but here is some of my reasoning. I have limited myself to one example of unverifiable votes for each of those swing states. Arizona At an Arizona Senate Committee hearing on January 24, 2022, we learned that precisely 95 percent of Maricopa County overseas military members (and their families) voted for Joe Biden. That is an amazing (as in phony) percentage, given that the overall county-wide...

Proud of it and the work everyone did on it," Stiller tweeted. The post came in response to a conservative user named Benny S. after left-wing users blasted the film, and demanded it be removed from streaming services. He wrote, "@BenStiller Please stop apologizing for doing...

On this date in 1554, Tudor nobleman Henry Grey — who for nine days had been the father of the queen — was beheaded at Queen Mary’s command. He was one of the inveterate schemers who grappled to secure his family’s foot upon the throne during the uncertain years when Edward VI succeeded Henry VIII. Frail and underaged, Edward’s foreseeable early death without issue created a situation where the cream of the aristocracy could plausibly dream themselves the namesakes of the next great English dynasty. Heck, the late royal monster was himself just the son of the guy who had...

After 20 days, the vile coven of ABC’s The View finally decided that the train derailment and ecological disaster in East Palestine, Ohio was finally worth mentioning during their Thursday Hot Topics segment. Of course, this was only after Pete Buttigieg, the absent-at-the-wheel Transportation secretary finally arrived in the town. But the joyless Joy Behar took things to a disturbing place when she proclaimed that the residents got what was coming to them because they supported former President Trump. “Let’s talk about regulations for a second. Because it seems to me that the Republicans are obsessed with the notion of...

Censors Use AI to Target PodcastsElon Musk’s purchase of Twitter may have capped the opening chapter in the Information Wars, where free speech won a small but crucial battle. Full spectrum combat across the digital landscape, however, will only intensify, as a new report from the Brookings Institution, a key player in the censorship industrial complex, demonstrates. First, a review.Reams of internal documents, known as the Twitter Files, show that social media censorship in recent years was far broader and more systematic than even we critics suspected. Worse, the files exposed deep cooperation – even operational integration – among Twitter...

@TulsiGabbard I spent the day in East Palestine, Ohio with inspiring residents who have faced this toxic catastrophe with resilience and hope, despite lack of support from our leaders and federal govt.
