There were a lot of dramatic moments at the House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday. Among the most informative was when Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) nailed former head of Twitter Trust and Safety Yoel Roth for Twitter’s contact with the Biden team to suppress tweets. He showed the email contact even as Roth was professing not to remember, yet showing that Roth knew enough to know what random URLs were referencing. One of the other big concerns among many conservatives over the past few years was being “shadow banned” — where you are still being allowed to tweet but your...

During its Q1 2023 earnings report, Disney confirmed that Disney Plus lost subscribers for the first time in its history. Between October and December 2022, the streaming platform's global user base shrunk by 2.4 million. The main reason for this drop in users? Disney Plus Hotstar, the version of the streamer that's available in India and Southeast Asia. Some 3.8 million customers canceled their subscriptions between October 2022 and January 2023. Luckily for Disney, the impact of that sizable blow was minimized somewhat by an increase in subscribers elsewhere. In North America, Disney added 200,000 new customers to its user...

“Moving Florida Governor Ron DeSantis into position for 2024, with careful branding and management, is one large Republican Club operation done with forethought and intent.” ..... Snip..... Going all the way back to December 2021, when DeSantis handler Christina Pushaw set about the first steps of inviting conservative influencers into the DeSantis orbit in Florida, a meeting that took place on January 6, 2022, nothing from that moment to this was organic or unplanned. Moving Florida Governor Ron DeSantis into position for 2024 with careful branding and management, is one large Republican Club operation done with forethought and intent. Everything...

Quaoar is one of the so-called trans-Neptunian objects, small planets orbiting beyond the solar system's outermost planet Neptune. Quaoar is a proud owner of its own moon, the 100-mile-wide Weywot. And a recent observation campaign revealed that it also has a ring of material in its orbit. Quaoar's ring is at a very unusual distance from its parent body. In fact, before astronomers discovered Quaoar's ring in observations from several telescopes conducted between 2018 and 2021, they had thought that it was impossible for a ring to exist at such a distance. With a radius of about 2,420 miles from...

Washington D.C., Feb 6, 2023 / 13:21 pm The Associated Press (AP) issued new guidelines advising reporters not to use the terms “crisis pregnancy center” or “pregnancy resource center” but to instead refer to centers that offer pro-life counseling and support as “anti-abortion centers.” Reporters should “avoid potentially misleading terms such as pregnancy resource centers or pregnancy counseling centers,” because “these terms don’t convey that the centers’ general aim is to prevent abortions,” according to the AP’s Abortion Topical Guide. The AP publishes the most widely used style guide, which journalists and editors across the country look to determine proper...

Documents shared with TGP uncovered a $375,800 grant sent to lab in Tunisia to infest beagles with parasites. Beagles are often Beagles are often used testing because of their gentle nature. One of the tortures that the beagles were subjected to included locking their heads in mesh cages filled with infected sand flies so that the parasite-carrying insects could eat them alive. The grant money funded a study published last month that detailed the horror inflicted upon...

Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-MN) campaign finances are raising eyebrows after a report found that her funding to consultants plummeted after her husband's firm was removed from the payroll. A Fox News Digital review of Federal Election Commission filings found that Omar's campaign paid her husband's firm, E Street Group, $3 million for its services in campaign consulting. After she took the firm off the payroll following intense scrutiny over the practice, her campaign only spent around $1 million for similar services. Furthermore, the drastic decrease in spending came during the 2022 election cycle when she faced her toughest challenge yet...

Elián González, the Cuban boy whose custody battle stoked Cold War-era tensions, has been nominated to serve in the island’s National Assembly, the communist-party daily Granma said Monday. The newspaper referred to González, now 29, as “representing the most worthy of the Cuban youth.” González’s nomination all but secures his post in the 470-seat National Assembly that meets several times a year to discuss proposed laws, which the body usually votes unanimously to approve. Under Cuban law, municipal assemblies nominate a single candidate to the National Assembly, which then Cubans can either ratify or vote against. Serving in the National...

Jesus in the wilderness faced three temptations from the Devil himself: material comfort, fame, and power. Needless to say, he declined every temptation and passed all three trials. So too did the couple seeking to enter the order of virtue in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.” They blasted right through the tests of silence, isolation, and fear. In the opera, much celebration ensues. Fairy tales too are often framed by three chances. The Miller’s daughter is given three chances to guess Rumpelstiltskin’s name, for example, and I’m sure you can think of other instances. The final movement of the 6th “Tragic”...

U.S. — As inflation and consumer prices continue to soar, world-renown master painter and influence salesman Hunter Biden has announced that all corrupt dealings with foreign oligarchs will now include a 15% surcharge for the "Big Guy.""Listen, 10% just isn't enough anymore. Not a joke," said Hunter in an email to Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout in a text message on a phone left in the toilet of a local brothel. "Hookers are up, crack is up, and my Dad's dementia medication ain't cheap! Starting today, my prices are going up 33% and I'm charging 15% for the Big Guy."

I reported last week that my source from Ukraine, not Russia, was placing the Ukrainian military casualties at 150,000 with 35,000 unaccounted for – missing in action. Including the civilian deaths, over 250,000 people have died. Ukraine is losing the war. With the UK claiming they will now train Ukrainian pilots and provide fighter jets, this is obviously putting the UK at risk and such pilots with a few weeks of training will only crash and burn. Our targets coming into play for April and May are critical. We see major shifts in the financial markets coming even by June....

On this date in 1943, days before their city was liberated, five members of the anti-occupation resistance were shot in Krasnodon in the Donbass. That eastern Ukrainian city* had fallen under German-Italian-Romanan occupation in July 1942. In response, some 100 local teens banded together into an anti-fascist underground — the Molodaya Gvardiya, or Young Guard. (English Wikipedia entry | Russian) Most of their number would give their lives in resistance. During the few months of occupation, the Young Guards managed an impressive record of sabotage operations and propaganda coups. It busted 90 people out of the Germans’ concentration camp, and...
