The owner of a bakery in Oakland is in "grave condition" after she was knocked to the ground during a robbery on Monday afternoon in Uptown Oakland, police said.
Jen Angel of Angel Cakes was in her car, parked near the Wells Fargo on Webster Street at 12:30 p.m., when an individual broke into her vehicle and took her belongings, the Oakland Police Department said. Angel attempted to take back her items, and during the struggle, she was thrown onto the pavement, police said.
Medics arrived on the scene, provided aid and transported Angel to a local hospital. Multiple media outlets reported that she is on life support.

Jennifer Angel, the owner of Oakland's popular Angel Cakes bakery, was on life support Thursday after suffering life-threatening injuries during a brazen daylight purse snatching in the rear parking lot of a Wells Fargo Bank branch. Investigators said incident took place about 12:29 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Webster St. less than a mile away from her shop. Angel was in the parking lot when a vehicle blocked her exit. A man approached her vehicle, broke a window, reached inside to snatch her purse, and then raced back to a getaway car.She followed the suspect back to the car, attempting to retrieve her purse. Angel became caught in the fleeing vehicle's door and was dragged more than 50 feet before falling off.
Angel suffered serious head injuries as a result of being dragged. She was rushed to the Highland Hospital Trauma Unit.
After reading that link, it sounds like she got what she deserved and it was totally expected. I do not feel sorry for any liberal or demonrat that is a victim of crime, THEY DESERVE IT!! SO much so that if I was on the Jury I would find him NOT GUILTY. When you get in bed with dogs, you can’t complain about the fleas.
She’s in a medically induced coma.
I disagree. Convict the criminal and imprison him -- maybe life if she dies or is permanently disabled. It is a twofer. The criminal removes a liberal and we remove a criminal. Double plus good.
I really feel bad for what happened to her, but if she’d let the thief go with her purse and not pursue him, she’d have her health and well-being to go work another day and replace what she’d lost. I’ll bet she just visited the merchant window at the bank, maybe someone inside was watching and tipped off the car waiting in the parking lot. And rage over her lost earnings overcame her reason and sense of self-preservation.
If she ever wakes up from her coma, I bet she will agree with you. She made a dumb mistake.
I understand completely and I was torn by this issue, but when someone decides to challenge darwin and loses, Which She admittedly did, I don’t believe we should try to save them from their decisions to do so.
I take it that the usual suspects were the perpetrators of the crime?

Sadly, she didn’t want criminals executed or jailed, the result being she wanted the loose in society so that they could prey on “others”.
She never had the common sense to realize that she could be “the other” and it cost her her life.
Liberals almost never learn that their reality isn’t real.
