The green energy group behind a study cited in Consumer Product Safety commissioner Richard Trumka Jr.'s call to ban gas stoves has partnered with the Chinese government to implement an "economy-wide transformation" away from oil and gas. Colorado-based nonprofit Rocky Mountain Institute, which published the December study that attributes 13 percent of U.S. childhood asthma cases to gas-stove use, is hardly staffed by an objective group of scientists. The organization is demanding "systemic change and economy-wide transformation" to address a climate crisis it says we must go to great lengths to avoid. In 2013, for example, the Rocky Mountain Institute...

"Aloha." "Hola." "Shalom." These are ways to say "hello" in Hawaiian, Spanish and Hebrew, respectively. But just because you can say something doesn't mean it's always appropriate. On the surface, simple greetings and phrases from other races and cultures may seem fine to sprinkle into our vernacular. Inclusive even. But did you know that "aloha" doesn't just mean hello or goodbye? "It's a greeting or a farewell, but the meaning is deeper," says Maile Arvin, the director of Pacific Islands Studies at the University of Utah. "One of my Hawaiian language teachers taught it to me as 'Aloha means recognizing...

HEADQUARTERS ARMY OF THE POTOMAC, CAMP NEAR FALMOUTH, Va., Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1863. It is now over a month since, on the heels of the battle of Fredericksburgh, I left the Army of the Potomac; and I return after that interval to find the situation, in all its main aspects, unchanged. The felling of the forests, carried to an enormous extent in order to keep up the giant camp-fires, has in many places sensibly altered the physiognomy of the country; thousands of log huts, built by the men of their own will and motion, have advantageously replaced the miserable and...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemMatthew 26Jesus Before the Sanhedrin 57 Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled. 58 But Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered and sat down with the guards to see the outcome. 59 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. 60 But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally...

It may be MLK Day, but Democrats aren’t here for all that “content of character” stuff. Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee, long in the running for being the vapidest member of Congress (oops, did I just commit a crime?), has introduced legislation that could make political criticism by white people against minorities a federal crime. In what can only be called a convoluted mess, the bill proposes that a white person who “vilifies” any non-white person and has their words end up on social media, accessible by “persons who are predisposed to engaging in any action in furtherance of a white...

“Women accounted for fewer than one in ten of the detections, while the share of reported minors fell slightly to around 9 percent of all detections.” Approximately 330,000 illegal border crossings into the European Union (EU) were recorded in 2022, the highest figure since the migration crisis of 2016. According to the latest data from EU border agency Frontex, the number of illegal entries into the Union increased 64 percent from the previous year. Syrian, Afghan, and Tunisian nationals account for half of the entries According to the Agency, 330,000 irregular entries were recorded in 2022. The number of Syrian...

Early on Monday morning, January 9, 2023, at about 5:30 a.m. in Roseland, New Jersey, a team of two car thieves broke into an upper-middle-class home on a cul-de-sac next to Route 280. One of the thieves had checked out a white SUV next door, but the doors on the vehicle were locked. At the residence where the incident occurred, one of the suspects discovered an unlocked window, which offered access to the garage situated under the house. The entry set off an alarm. The homeowner, as reported by the police, investigated and came face to face with the intruder. Exactly...

Opposition head Yair Lapid has sharply attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu, alleging that he never made clear his intentions to reform the judiciary prior to elections. "Benjamin Netanyahu said yesterday that millions of people voted in favor of the judicial reforms they are proposing. That's a lie. I won't call him a 'liar, son of a liar' as Smotrich did, but this is a lie stated by someone who is weak and is trying to deceive his voters. "They didn't present these reforms to their voters. They didn't tell them how extreme they would be. They stammered every time they were...

"In [Christ] also we have obtained an inheritance" (Eph. 1:10-11). As a member of God’s family, you have obtained a future inheritance that has many present benefits. An inheritance is something received by an heir as a result of a will or legal process. It's a legacy one receives from family connections. As a member of God's family, you are an heir of God and fellow heir with Christ (Rom. 8:17). As such you have obtained an inheritance that Peter called "imperishable and undefiled . . . reserved in heaven for you" (1 Pet. 1:4). It cannot perish, fade away,...

They don't respond very well, suffice to say. Since as early as December 2021, American Thinker has published article after article about COVID vaccine-related health issues. The first article that grabbed my attention was written by Vasko Kohlmayer, VAERS Data Indicates the Covid Vaccines Have Killed At Least 140,000 People. Since then, at least 65 articles from professionals, including doctors, have been published on American Thinker, some of them with exhaustive research. I am not vaccinated, but just about everybody I know and love are: my wife, the in-laws, my two siblings, nephew and nieces, my ex-wife and two sons...

It’s four in the morning and you awaken with crushing chest pain. Your family calls 911 and paramedics arrive and diagnose a cardiac event. They inform you that they need to transport you forty-five minutes away because your two local hospitals have closed over the last several months. Even when you arrive at the hospital, there is massive overcrowding and they inform you that there are no ICU beds open for you in that fifty percent of the beds in the cardiac unit are “browned out” due to lack of staff. This nightmare is an all too familiar post pandemic...

"Climate chage" is simply left-wing politics under another name. For the record, climate change is real -- but that’s nothing new, just ask a wooly mammoth or a dinosaur. Atmospheric heat-trapping is also real, or else everything around us would freeze solid every night -- just as it does on our airless moon. And sea level is the best way to tell if the earth is warming or cooling because it is a truly global indicator, rather than a stew of various local measurements. It is also important to understand the well-known cycles that bring us seasons and weather patterns....

Cellphone video captured a confrontation involving a Mall of America security guard telling a man wearing a "Jesus Saves" T-shirt that his shirt is "offending" shoppers at the famously large mall in Bloomington, Minnesota — and the guard ordered the man to remove the shirt or leave the mall. What are the details? Alpha News — an independent outfit that covers news across the state that often goes unreported — said the confrontation took place last weekend, citing videos published on social media.

Martin Luther King Jr. was more than a great pastor and civil rights leader. He had a deeply discerning mind that focused on timeless truths. The holiday in his commemoration is not only the time to celebrate his depth, character, and accomplishments, but it is also an occasion to reflect on the conditioning and brainwashing that characterize today’s woke culture, which now accepts and seeks to normalize the legitimacy of divisive and demoralizing ideologies. In contrast, King was all about constructive action directed at racial and social healing through truth, love, and peaceful nonviolent debate and protest. Those who claim...

Over the last two years, the richest 1% of people have accumulated close to two-thirds of all new wealth created around the world, a new report from Oxfam says. A total of $42 trillion in new wealth has been created since 2020, with $26 trillion, or 63%, of that being amassed by the top 1% of the ultra-rich, according to the report. The remaining 99% of the global population collected just $16 trillion of new wealth, the global poverty charity says. “A billionaire gained roughly $1.7 million for every $1 of new global wealth earned by a person in the...
