LONDON (AP) — Chelsea welcomed the English Football Association’s decision to make a homophobic chant aimed at its supporters a punishable offense, calling it a “step in the right direction” on Friday. The FA announced on Wednesday that chants of “Rent Boy,” which have been directed at Chelsea fans by rival supporters, are now considered a breach of its rules. It has written to all Premier League clubs and clubs throughout English soccer to enforce the point and attempt to stamp out discriminatory behavior. “The ‘Rent Boy’ chant is intolerable and has no place in football or anywhere else,” Chelsea...

Explanation: This is the mess that is left when a star explodes. The Crab Nebula, the result of a supernova seen in 1054 AD, is filled with mysterious filaments. The filaments are not only tremendously complex, but appear to have less mass than expelled in the original supernova and a higher speed than expected from a free explosion. The featured image, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, is presented in three colors chosen for scientific interest. The Crab Nebula spans about 10 light-years. In the nebula's very center lies a pulsar: a neutron star as massive as the Sun but...

James Comer (R-Ky.) is pressing the White House to release the visitor log for President Biden’s Delaware residence, as Republicans ratchet up their probe into the recent discovery of Obama-era classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president. “Given the serious national security implications, the White House must provide the Wilmington residence’s visitor log,” Comer wrote in a letter to Biden’s chief of staff, Ron Klain. Comer, who chairs the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, and other Republicans have ramped up their criticism after classified documents were found in unauthorized locations, including Biden’s Delaware home. So a semi drives a 1,000 miles. At 5 miles a gallon it takes 200 gallons. If a gallon of diesel costs $6 thats $1,200. To put it another way, more simply, it costs a dollar a mile (or so) to run a semi. These figures have no real value because I don't know anything exactly. Just guessing. But the point is It can easily/readily be pointed out how much it costs to run a diesel semi. Now take a semi running off batteries. How many batteries, how long do they last and lastly how much does it cost to...

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chelsea confessed how she always thought the sun and the moon were the same. “I didn’t know until I was 40 years old that the sun and the moon were not the same thing," Chelsea, 47, admitted. “My older sister Simone looked up at the sky and she said, ‘Chelsea, Chelsea, look up. It’s not often you get to see the sun and the moon at the same time.'" Chelsea responded, “But they’re always together," before embarrassingly elaborating that she "just assumed when the sun went down, it popped back up...

Revelation, Chapter 8 1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended...

In June 2020, then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) unwittingly drew attention to a serious national problem. She retweeted a fundraising pitch from the Minnesota Freedom Fund. This group, in the name of social justice, pays bail for almost any accused criminals, including habitual and violent offenders. There are several such faux-charities, harming society and routinely creating new victims.

What should you wear to work if you’re nonbinary? It may not be the most pressing question that gender-nonconforming people face on the job, but with approximately 1.2 million LGBTQ+ Americans identifying as nonbinary, employers and employees alike are exploring what professional attire can look like. “I think people treat me with more dignity when I dress more masculinely, but people are way nicer to me when I dress more femininely,” said El Layla Johnson, 33, a former restaurant server who is now a therapist. For Johnson, getting dressed for work has been a struggle since adolescence. “I just feel...

"[God] made known the mystery of His will according to His kind intention which He purposed in [Christ] with a view to an administration suitable to the fulness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things upon the earth" (Eph. 1:9-10). God is intimately involved in the flow of human history and is directing its course toward a specific, predetermined climax. For centuries men of various philosophical schools have debated the cause, course, and climax of human history. Some deny God and therefore deny any divine involvement in history....

Stay-at-home father Jay Deitcher prided himself on “blurring gender lines,” a trait he tried hard to pass along to his own young son. So he hid the kiddie clothing that sported footballs and instead gave his son a baby doll to push in a stroller on their walks, Deitcher explains in Today. And then his two-year-old discovered tractors, and the gender-neutral charade was over. “I had to make a choice,” Deitcher writes: “buy him clothes with pictures of heavy machinery on them and make the kid happy, or force him to wear shirts emblazoned with fuzzy animals to appease me.” Deitcher...
