Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office is offering a sweetheart plea deal to a suspect charged in the brutal anti-Semitic beating of a Jewish man in Midtown, prosecutors confirmed. Waseem Awawdeh — who defiantly said “I would do it again” after his arrest in the cowardly assault on Joseph Borgen near a pro-Israel rally — has received a six-month plea deal offer from the controversial prosecutor. That would be a slap on the wrist compared to the up to seven years he would face if convicted of the charges, including attempted assault as a hate crime, at trial. Awawdeh, 24,...

Beetleburgers could soon be helping to feed the world, according to new research. The creepy crawlers’ larvae — better known as mealworms — could act as a meat alternative to alleviate hunger worldwide. The process uses a fraction of the land and water and emits a smaller carbon footprint in comparison of traditional farming. To make this a reality, French biotech company Ynsect is planning a global network of insect farms, including nurseries and slaughterhouses. A pilot plant has already been been set up at Dole in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of France. “We are in full control of the chain...

You read correctly. I have recently become reacquainted with this ancient and powerful non-verbal communication, this behavioral pheromone, through one of the most clichéd, predictable and nevertheless unsettling circumstances that we men who are now parents must own as much as we own the fact that the sun rises. My daughter, my sweet, innocent latency age child, performed a Hair Flip with less effort than I expend when bending over to tie my shoes. I remember Hair Flips as seminal events. I remember looking forward to Hair Flips in movies and television shows, and, most importantly, as signs that a...

Washington, D.C. – Today, in their latest assault on the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, the Biden ATF issued their final rule to reclassify millions of commonly-owned pistol braced firearms as illegal short-barreled rifles and shotguns under the antiquated and draconian National Firearms Act of 1934. President Biden’s executive action will force gun owners to register guns with the federal government and will infringe on the Second Amendment. The rule has faced significant opposition within the firearms industry and Second Amendment community, as the independent Congressional Research Service estimates that up to 40 million of these braces are currently...

On Monday, classified documents from his time as vice president were found in President Joe Biden’s private office at UPenn. Days later, more classified documents were found stashed in Biden’s garage next to the president’s corvette at his Delaware home which triggered Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel. “Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed a special counsel to take over the investigation into President Joe Biden’s potential mishandling of classified documents,” CNN reported. “The special counsel is Robert Hur.” There seems to be however, that more is going on than what meets the eye. According to a...

While religious identity among Americans remained largely stable throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, it accelerated existing trends in declining church attendance, particularly among the young, a new report from the Survey Center on American Life shows.

A team of nine experts from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and other top universities has published paradigm-shifting research about the efficacy and safety of the COVID-19 vaccines and why mandating vaccines for college students is unethical. The 50-page study, which was published on the Social Science Research Network at the end of August, analyzed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and industry-sponsored data on vaccine adverse events, and concluded that mandates for COVID-19 boosters for young people may cause 18 to 98 actual serious adverse events for each COVID-19 infection-related hospitalization theoretically prevented. The paper was co-authored by Dr. Stefan...

A federal judge ruled that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration did not violate a court order regarding the state’s "Stop WOKE Act," which prohibits colleges from promoting critical race theory lessons and targets other "woke" concepts prevalent on higher education campuses. "Although this court would not hesitate to compel compliance with its preliminary injunction, this court finds there has been no violation of the injunction at this time," U.S. District Judge Mark E. Walker wrote on Thursday, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Plaintiffs had challenged the law, known as the "Stop Wrongs To Our Kids and Employees Act" or "Stop...

[Catholic Caucus] Brazil, Pray the Rosary“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” ~George SantayanaBrazilians are convulsing over the fraudulent election of Luis Inacio Lula da Silva “Lula”, the radical Communist convicted felon, who narrowly defeated the moderate, President Jair Bolsonaro. Cries of election fraud dominate the massive street protests. This isn’t the first time when Brazil faced the scourge of a tyrannical Communist takeover. In 1966, Brazilians faced a similar Marxist government that posed a radical political and social transformation of South America’s largest country. With nowhere to turn, the largely Catholic country turned to the Blessed...

I support a woman’s right to choose whether or not to cook on a gas stove. Too bad allegedly “pro-choice” Democrats disagree. Preventing women (and men) from using natural gas has become all the rage among today’s totalitarian Democrats. Consumer Product Safety Commissioner Richard Trumka, Jr. just proposed to ban gas stoves. New York Democratic Gov. Kathy “The Hack” Hochul wants to prohibit gas stoves, heaters and hookups to small buildings by 2025, with larger structures to follow. Leftist autocrats are killing pipelines and otherwise restricting gas in some 77 cities across America. President Joe Biden lept from this speeding...

Americans established Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to celebrate the man and his righteous quest for all Americans to have equal justice under the law. MLK Day reminds us that anyone can succeed in America if they have hope and resolve. The day also commemorates the beauty of King's vision of Americans living together in harmony. But the woke activists now pushing "diversity, equity, and inclusion" (DEI) initiatives across the country effectively reach the opposite of every positive belief King held. From encouraging riots to abandoning the vision of a color-blind America, today's woke activists have no legitimate right to...

I grew up in Minnesota when it was a very nice, normal place; a time when the unofficial state motto was “30 Below Keeps The Riff-Raff Out,” and the meanest thing about it was that lady who scowled at Mary Tyler Moore tossing her hat into the air on TV.But in a couple years, Christians will not be allowed to work as public school teachers. Neither will Muslims or Jews. The reason for this religious bigotry is new teacher licensing rules that will require teachers to personally affirm transgender ideology. Biology, genetics, endocrinology, physiology and anatomy have shown that, with...

Experienced a kidney stone 25 years ago. Doctor at that time went in invasively to get it and remove Three nights ago, I was struck with another kidney stone attack. Lasted about 2 hours in the middle of the night. 24 hours later. Another one. Could feel the pain and the stone moving farther south. Another one early this morning, still painful but I believe stone is making progress. Refuse to go to any clinic or hospital, what do my wise freeper friends suggest to speed up the process and alleviate the pain.

One of the major wins of the McCarthy drama that gripped Congress last week was a pledge from the new Speaker to release all of the January 6 riot footage. Via Newsweek:Speaking to reporters on Thursday, McCarthy said he intends to make public the thousands of hours of footage from the insurrection—something Republicans have long called for, as part of attempts to exonerate both lawmakers and civilians accused of wrongdoing in connection to the riots.McCarthy said that he would consider releasing all the footage as the “public should see what happened” that day, rather than rely on the report from...

Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that President Joe Biden’s comments last year about former President Trump’s handling of classified documents were “embarrassing” after the discovery of classified documents at Biden’s residence.Anchor Chuck Todd said, “Let me start with what we’ve been dealing with President Biden and these classified documents. When you look at the timeline, and it files like a drip, drip, drip, how concerned are you that perhaps the White House is holding back information a bit too much, leaving Democrats out there like yourself in the dark on what to defend or...
