The Stanford document in question: https://s.wsj.net/public/resources/documents/stanfordlanguage.pdf
The USC letter can be seen in the following tweet: https://twitter.com/GadSaad/status/1613154300036800512?s=20&t=TRhy0Pe4juil4KYsOnqXHw
My Psychology Today article from which I read: On the Follies of the Politically Correct Language Police.
Terms that Stanford seek to banish include “addicted,” which “Trivializes the experiences of people who deal with substance abuse issues.” Use “hooked” or “devoted” instead, and in place of “addict,” use “person with a substance use disorder ”--or in other words, replace one word with six.
“Blind review” is a term tbhat “Trivializes the experiences of people who deal with substance abuse issues.” So use “Anonymous review” instead.
“Brave” should not be used at all because “This term perpetuates the stereotype of the "noble courageous savage," equating the Indigenous male as being less than a man.”
“Guru” should not be used because “in the Buddhist and Hindu traditions, the word is a sign of respect. Using it casually negates its original value.” “Subject expert,” “teacher” or “leader” should be used instead. ,p> Don't say “American” because “This term often refers to people from the United States only, thereby insinuating that the US is the most important country in the Americas (which is actually made up of 42 countries). “ Say “US Citizen” instead.
Don't say “Hispanic” because “its roots lie in Spain's colonization of South American countries.” Instead, say “Latinx” (pronounced “lat-inks”).
And so on. Saad notes that students spend $80,000 per year to attend Stanford and have their minds cleansed.
Gad Saad? Killer name.
Allegories are also microagressions , for example ; saying the sun “rises and sets” is so Neanderthal, it must be changed to the sun “appears or disappears” in order to be progressive and accept the science, (unlike the flat earth trump supporters)
People have choices as to what language they employ to describe things. You will not dictate to me what words I can and cannot use.
Anything you say can and will be used against you.
Basic cost at either school to be taught CRT B$ posing as knowledge.
$75,000
I cannot pinpoint in time the precise moment in time in which this nonsense began but it was likely sometime around when “manhole covers” became un-PC.
I first became aware of this nonsense in 1972 when the Stanford football team changed their name from the Indians to the Cardinals. This immediately struck me as stupid, since the name was meant to honor and celebrate American Indians.
DemocRATS love to divide, divide, divide. They just love finding more and more ways to divide us up, and then pit one group against another. They are, after all, the party of segregation and the KKK.
Stanford University, while touting and celebrating ‘diversity’ has developed segregated housing:
Ujamaa House is for African-American;
Okada House is for Asians;
Casa Zapata is for Chicanx and Latinx (99% of Spanish speakers do not like the new Latinx phraseology, and they do not speak Latin either).
The Stanford University website explains: “”Our ethnic theme communities have a rich and long history of engaging students at the highest levels of intellectual discovery and advancing diversity””
‘Advancing diversity’ by segregation. Sounds right out of 1984.
It was recently announced Hanson will be at Pepperdine in Malibu, not sure what position.
These mentally ill left-wing morons have WAY too much time on their hands.
