WHITEHAVEN, WASHINGTON DC: Twitter is having a field day over a viral clip from Season 5 premiere of 'Carpool Karaoke', which has Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea belting out ‘I Will Survive’ by Gloria Gaynor. A lot of users labeled the video as ‘cringe’ and had also been quick to describe the audio as what is "played on a loop as you enter the depths of hell." The Clintons were joined by actress Vanessa Williams and comedian Amber Ruffin. Chelsea appears to be driving the car in the clip, with her mother sitting right next to her. However, it seems...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen notified Congress on Friday that the U.S. is projected to reach its debt limit on Thursday and will then resort to “extraordinary measures” to avoid default. In a letter to House and Senate leaders, Yellen said her actions will buy time until Congress can pass legislation that will either raise the nation’s $31.4 trillion borrowing authority or suspend it again for a period of time. Those measures include divesting some payments, such as contributions to federal employees’ retirement plans, in order to provide some headroom to make other payments that are deemed essential,...

Former and current Biden administration officials have reportedly blamed the National Archives for mishandling President Joe Biden’s classified documents stashed in three separate locations. According to a Friday CNN report that cited “former and current administration officials and others familiar with the process,” the National Archives refused to treat then-Vice President Biden’s records with the “same high regard” as it did former President Obama’s records. “While the National Archives sends staff members to the White House to gather files and papers of the President, they do not treat all vice presidential papers with the same high regard, officials said,” CNN...

Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem received a letter Thursday from the National Park Service rejecting her request for Independence Day fireworks at Mount Rushmore. The Daily Caller first obtained the letter, which was sent by Michell Wheatley to Wanda Goodman, who works for the Governor at the South Dakota Department of Tourism. In the letter, Wheatley mentions that local tribes view the fireworks as an “adverse effect” on their traditional cultural views. “Fireworks continue to be viewed by multiple Tribes as an adverse effect on the traditional cultural landscape,” Wheatley wrote in the letter. “This view was expressed by...

Nearly all U.S. House Democrats voted against a resolution condemning attacks against anti-abortion facilities and churches. The vote came after a report was published showing violence escalated against churches and pro-life groups last year ahead of and after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The House passed the measure Wednesday mostly along party lines. Three Democrats voted for it: Reps. Vicente Gonzalez of south Texas, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington. The resolution “condemns recent attacks of vandalism, violence, and destruction against pro-life facilities, groups and churches” and “calls upon the Biden Administration to use...

State Treasurer Riley Moore today announced the introduction of legislation he proposed to lawmakers prohibiting the use of credit and debit card transactions to surveil lawful gun and ammunition purchases in West Virginia. House Bill 2004, The Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act, would prohibit financial institutions from using credit card merchant category codes assigned to firearm and ammunition retailers to discriminate against West Virginians’ constitutionally guaranteed right to bear arms or enable government agencies to track lawful gun and ammunition purchases. “Woke activists in Congress and their allies on Wall Street continue to find new ways to undermine our freedoms...

There are 30 gigabytes of data on the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol that has not been seen by the public, the Justice Department revealed in a court filing related to an upcoming Oath Keepers trial Thursday. The department said the evidence was appended to the 255 witness transcripts that were released last month before the House Jan. 6 committee disbanded at the end of 2022. Redacted testimonies were included in the release last month, but the data include exhibits not previously released. The government is reviewing the material, Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathryn Rakoczy said in the four-page court...

A federal court has ruled that Christian colleges and universities with traditional views on sexuality and marriage can continue to receive funding through Title IX, rejecting LGBT students' efforts to strike down a religious exemption to federal discrimination law. In a ruling Thursday, U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken in Oregon dismissed the case filed by a group of LGBT Christian college students and former students who sued the U.S. Department of Education in 2021 for providing religious exemption to Title IX discrimination laws to Christian higher education institutions. Aiken, a Clinton appointee, concluded that plaintiffs failed to show that the...

The Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Thursday affirmed a lower court’s ruling that the vaccine mandate for federal contract workers is unconstitutional. The majority opinion stated that a broad interpretation of the mandate could provide the president “nearly unlimited authority to introduce requirements into federal contracts.” The court said Biden wanted it “to ratify an exercise of proprietary authority that would permit him to unilaterally impose a healthcare decision on one-fifth of all employees in the United States. We decline to do so.” Judge Kurt Engelhardt, writing for the majority, demonstrated the fallacy of the government’s...

Americans are shocked, shocked that there are liars in politics. The most gobsmacked of all are politicians – especially Democrats – who can’t believe that the likes of that evil Republican, George Santos, a gay-ish, Jew-ish, Catholic, non-college graduate was elected to a Long Island, N.Y., congressional seat after lying about his resume. Strangely, Democrats have been nothing but ebullient about the successful campaign of a newly elected Washington State legislator known locally as Lyin’ Clyde Shavers. ‘Lyin’ Clyde’s story is one for the books. Clyde wants to be your president someday and he’s willing to go the Joe Biden...

Social Security Trust Funds have squandered billions of dollars on an antiquated investment policy. That loss tells us a lot about the financial crisis coming to Social Security. In 2019, Social Security lost roughly $1 billion because the system invests the excess reserves on exactly the wrong minute of the year. Any other day or any minute early in the day, saves the program money. It is 2023, and the beat goes on. Over the course of 2022, Social Security redeemed more than $100 billion in high-yield debt, and lost nearly $5 billion in interest earnings in the process. The...

A number of theories are circulating regarding the media’s uncharacteristic coverage of Biden’s illegal possession of classified documents, which were discovered at his former University of Pennsylvania think tank office in Washington, D.C., in his garage at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, and in another adjacent room. The most popular view amongst Republicans and conservatives seems to be that the real powers-that-be in the Democrat party have finally decided to get rid of Biden. This theory would fulfill the predictions of many, who have asserted since Biden’s inauguration, that Biden wouldn’t finish his first term and that Vice President Kamala Harris’...

Raleigh, North Carolina under Democrat Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin has seen homicide increase at rates as high as 49 percent since she took office along with an overall increase in violent crime with a large number of offenses perpetrated by minors. According to local news, Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson said on Wednesday, "When we see 14- and 15-year-olds committing crimes, we have to have groups of people who can really connect with them and be able to turn that around and prevent them from going to a life of crime."

Of all the lame excuses . . . CNN This Morning came up with a laughable one today. CNN White House correspondent MJ Lee blamed Biden's "hectic, crazy" schedule during his final days as Vice President for classified documents winding up in Biden's personal possession. Among the items on Biden's "hectic, crazy" schedule making it so, so difficult to handle the classified documents in a proper manner, Lee cited:"the surprise Medal of Freedom ceremony that was given to him by the president then, President Barack Obama."Seriously? How long could that take? In contrast with Biden's predilections, Obama presumably didn't even...

The app works by looking at two variables in a text - perplexity and burstiness - and it assigns each of those variables a score. First, the app measures how familiar it is with the text presented given what it has seen during training. The less familiar it is then the higher the text's perplexity is, meaning "it's more likely to be human-written", Mr Tian said. It then measures burstiness by scanning the text to see how variable it is. For example, does the text have a mix of short versus long sentences? Or does the writing appear to be...
