Somewhere there is a passage that shows us this. It runs: What is man that you should spare a thought for him, the son of man that you should care for him? For a short while you made him lower than the...

“One of the definitions of sanity is the ability to tell real from unreal. Soon we’ll need a new definition.” — Alvin Toffler Insurrections galore spark off all of a sudden, and 2023 was just born days ago! Want to know why? Because the business model of the global economy is broken and the supposed remedy for that is centralized control of populations and super-strict regulation of all their activities — that is, techno-tyranny (with Marxist characteristics, as the Chinese like to put it). Not everybody wants to ride that bus, and so an epic economic problem becomes an arduous...

Presidential campaign confidant and top Republican political operative Roger Stone says recently resurfaced tapes of 37th President Richard Nixon suggest that the former leader of the free world knew that the Central Intelligence Agency was involved in the assassination of 35th President John F. Kennedy in 1963.The longtime Trump ally’s assertion came in response to a taped conversation between President Nixon and former CIA Director Robert Helms which took place around lunchtime on October 8, 1971, in which President Nixon stated:“The whole ‘who shot John’ [JFK] thing, is Eisenhower to blame? Is Johnson to blame? Is Kennedy to blame? Is...

The natural gas industry in Ohio has gained a victory of sorts after Gov. Mike DeWine signed legislation that allows for a broader expansion of drilling for oil and gas in state parks. The bill, which has been very controversial, also defines natural gas as a source of “green energy.” A state law from 2011 provided state agencies with authority to lease out state lands for oil and gas exploration and production projects if they choose to. The legislation, House Bill 507, modifies this language. Instead of saying state agencies “may” lease out state lands for oil and gas exploration,...

WASHINGTON - Saying each had a role in helping preserve American democracy, resident Joe Biden awarded the nation’s second-highest civilian honor to a Capitol Police officer from Georgia and two former election workers from Fulton County. Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, a mother and daughter, got some of the biggest applause of the event as the president recounted the abuse they bore after being falsely accused of ballot fraud by then-President Donald Trump and his allies. They later provided testimony to a House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol where Trump supporters breached the building...

God chose us “to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in [His beloved Son]” (Eph. 1:6). You were created to glorify God. Englishman Henry Martyn served as a missionary in India and Persia in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Upon his arrival in Calcutta, he cried out “Let me burn out for God.” As he watched the people prostrating themselves before their pagan idols and heard blasphemy uttered against Christ, he wrote, “This excited more horror in me than I can well express. . . . I could not endure...

The sex-trafficking case against Andrew Tate is “basically built on lies,” according to two women who say they’re being treated as accusers despite repeatedly stating that they are “not victims.” The official Twitter handle of the still-jailed influencer was among those sharing an interview of two of the women listed as victims of what Romanian investigators have called a violent organized gang. “This is very unfair. They don’t deserve it,” said one of the women, neither of whom was named in the clip he shared but who described them both as social media influencers. “I don’t understand … the prosecutors...

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Manny Diaz, the former Miami mayor who had pledged to rebuild the Florida Democratic Party after years of losses, abruptly announced his immediate resignation as party chair on Monday amid growing calls for his ouster. Diaz’s departure came after Florida Democrats suffering some of their worst losses ever, including the re-election of Gov. Ron DeSantis by 19 points over Charlie Crist, the election of a supermajority in the Florida Legislature and the flipping of several counties including once-reliable blue Miami-Dade County. Diaz, in a statement to Democrats Monday, said he was unable to carry out his plans...

After a historic and prolonged battle over the Speakership, House Republicans on Monday moved to wrap up some unfinished organizing business that was put on hold due to opposition to Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) — including picking who will lead key panels. The House GOP Steering Committee, a panel of around 30 lawmakers consisting of leadership and elected regional representatives that makes selections for most chairmanships and committee assignments, made its choices for chairs of panels that were uncontested in December. But it put its selections for four key contested chairmanships — for the Homeland Security, Ways and Means, Budget,...

Many people were surprised when Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie decided to throw his support behind House Speaker Kevin McCarthy last week. In the past, Massie has often been at odds with leaders of his party in Congress, so there was some surprise on Capitol Hill when Massie didn't join the 20 Republicans who voted against Kevin McCarthy for Speaker last week. “I’m almost surprised I didn’t join them," Massie told Spectrum News. "You have your 'never Kevins' I was kind of a 'barely Kevin.'" Instead, he backed McCarthy in all 15 rounds of balloting. That's a major change from...
