WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator Mitt Romney reassured supporters today that he would be remaining a faithful member of the Democratic Party. "The Democratic Party can continue to count on me through thick and thin," said Mr. Romney in a statement. "While Senator Sinema and I have both occasionally voted with Congressional Republicans, I want voters to rest assured that I will never go turncoat like her. I'm staying put." After Sinema's exit left Senate control in the balance, Democrats rushed to reaffirm Mr. Romney's allegiance. "I knew he would stay true to his progressive roots," said Majority Leader Chuck Schumer....

Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee announced that the state would be divesting hundreds of millions of state funding away from the far-left asset management company BlackRock, due to the company’s support for “ESG” (environmental, social, and corporate governance) policies. As reported by Breitbart, Yee released a statement declaring that her office has already “divested more than $543 million from BlackRock money market funds and reduced our direct exposure to BlackRock by 97% this year.” She accused the company of moving “away from its fiduciary duty in general as an asset manager,” and instead focusing more on “political activism.” Yee said that...

We seem to be living in the latter pages of Atlas Shrugged lately. The headlong rush by Western nations to not only abandon fossil fuels, but punish those involved in extracting and producing them is not only foolish, but suicidal. There is simply no way to quickly transition from abundant and inexpensive energy to solar, wind, and electric without causing massive disruption and pain for the vast majority of non-elites. Combine this insane energy policy with the elites' simultaneous threat to shut down thousands of farms if they don't adhere to draconian measures to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions...

Former President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter the day after former First Lady Michelle Obama and others demanded the company "permanently" remove him, according to the newest "Twitter Files" installment. On Saturday, CEO Elon Musk and journalist Michael Shellenberger released the fourth batch of Twitter documents that show internal communications by the company’s executives between Jan. 6-8, 2021, including and shortly after the riot at the Capitol Building. If people think we cannot determine our fate through elections, they will stop bothering to vote and such widespread disaffection would not bode well for a continuation of the American experiment in representative government. A few weeks ago, Julie Kelly tweeted that FBI director Christopher Wray has scheduled a “bureau-wide call with all 36,000+ FBI employees” this month. This is without recent precedent and if true, I hope it’s to announce his resignation. He should, of course, because the agency he heads has been engaged in more lawbreaking and unconstitutional conduct than I can easily document in the space allotted...

The piece, composed by reporters Matt Viser and Michael Scherer, began by detailing "a strategy session last September" where Hunter Biden’s lawyer Kevin Morris pushed "Hunter Biden’s camp to be more...

It’s now called wək̓ʷan̓əs tə syaqʷəm, which in English means “the sun rising over the horizon.” The name is written in the Musqueam language hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓, which uses the North American phonetic alphabet instead of the Latin alphabet used for English. As for the pronunciation of the new school name, the Musqueam Nation prefers not to...

It began decades ago, with a few hardy pioneers slogging north across the tundra. It’s said that one individual walked so far to get there that he rubbed the skin off the underside of his long, flat tail. Today, his kind have homes and colonies scattered throughout the tundra in Alaska and Canada — and their numbers are increasing.... ...Scientists have come to view their landscape engineering as beneficial, and even critical in some vulnerable ecosystems. In many places south of the tundra, conservationists have moved to protect and reintroduce beavers to restore stream and wetland habitats. But in the...
