The Antonovsky bridge and the pontoon bridge are gone. Russians seem to have “ended” their withdrawal in that sector. Whoever didn’t flee until now is now stuck, though I suspect that most Russian troops are gone. #Kherson #Ukraine LINK >>>> https://twitter.com/Tendar/status/1590998400002330624

Unconfirmed reports on social media late on Thursday, November 10, claimed that explosions had occurred near the Antonovsky bridge. Some, again unconfirmed, even suggested that the bridge had been destroyed. Similar explosions were also reported on the left bank of the Dnieper river. Others reported explosions occurring in the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. Various Telegram channels were posting about these incidents, with Ukrainian channels insisting that it was the Russian military firing at the bridge, while Russian ones claimed it was Ukraine targeting the structure. “It is possible that both sides are firing”, the Politika Strana Telegram...

...the work of the committee remains incomplete, and must be allowed to continue, because the American people expect and deserve to know the full truth. The committee has yet to hear from outgoing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who was in charge of security arrangements at the Capitol that day. She should be called to testify...

So the red wave ended up not happening, being something more of a pink puddle instead. Has America just become too gerrymandered and partisan for there to be “yuge” wave elections like there used to be? Perhaps. Maybe we need to also not run horrible candidates.Regardless, there are fortunately a few salty letfist tears to sip on after yesterday. Those would be the tears of one of the biggest Democrat donors, Sam Bankman-Fried. He ran a crypto company called FTX that was first valued in 2021 at $18 billion, then exploded upward to a whopping $40 billion, at which point Bankman-Fried...

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Sean Patrick Maloney had some harsh words for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for her apparent lack of participation in what he called a "historic defense" of their New York majority. Mahoney spoke to several media outlets about the aftermath of his loss in the race for New York’s 17th Congressional District. Along with Maloney failing to secure a previously Democratic stronghold, Republicans won at least six additional seats in the midterm elections, with several races still too close to call. Although Gov. Kathy Hochul, D-N.Y., managed to win, her close race was considered a disappointment...

PHOENIX — Maricopa County officials revised a prediction that most ballots would be counted by Friday, saying a day before that deadline that widespread counting would continue into the weekend. County Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates said Thursday during a press conference that the original forecast of 95% to 99% of votes being counted by Friday wouldn’t happen due to the high total of ballots dropped off on Election Day. “I’m here to tell you the goalposts have changed,” Gates said.

There are still plenty of reasons to celebrate what happened in New York — and here they are.To the dismay of many New York conservatives, incumbent Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul defeated Republican challenger Lee Zeldin in the midterm contest. But underneath the disappointing loss is a gubernatorial comeback story and a spate of down-ballot GOP candidates who made a bigger red splash in the Empire State than many other candidates were able to pull off around the country. With 94 percent of the vote tallied, Zeldin trails Hochul by a little over 300,000 votes or 5.6 percentage points. And while this...

Resolute ‘America First’ proponent Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for Governor of Arizona, told her supporters that voters are “tired of shoddy elections run by imbeciles” as the state continues to wait for midterm election results to be announced.Lake, one of Donald Trump’s most high-profile election-integrity candidates, is neck and neck with Democrat Katie Hobbs in the race for governor. But Hobbs’s grip on power is slipping away, and Lake is ready to declare her victory.Arizona is a battleground state that could determine which party controls Congress; however, it could take several days for Democrats to get their head around...

Former President Donald Trump has been under attack since he began stumping for GOP candidates ahead of the midterms. Those incendiary remarks have gone into overdrive since Election Day on Wednesday, even from Republican supporters who spoke out against him after he referred to Florida governor Ron DeSantis as “Ron DeSanctimonious” during a final rally pre-midterm rally in Pennsylvania.Throughout the election, Trump has been a top supporter of Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, which earned his criticism, most notably from one of his biggest media adversaries, Maggie Hagaman of the New York Times. After Oz’s stunning loss to John...

I’ve written before about data analyst David Shor. He’s a progressive who found himself canceled back in 2020 after he tweeted some data suggesting that riots made for bad politics. That didn’t go over well in the BLM summer and he got fired. But he’s become a leading figure on the left both for analyzing election data but also for warning Democrats about repeating deeply unpopular phrases like “defund the police” or terms like “Latinx.” He wants Dems to win and he can see certain woke terms are just off-putting to voters.Today New York Magazine published an interview with Shor...

On Thursday night, with midterm races still yet to be called in key states that will determine the balance of power in Congress, former President Donald Trump issued a statement targeting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who walloped Democrat Charlie Crist in one of the few clear GOP victories of what was supposed to be a national "red wave" night in repudiation of President Biden's agenda. Trump's lengthy statement began by using his new nickname for DeSantis — for whom he voted in Florida this week — "DeSanctimonious," and called him "an average REPUBLICAN Governor with great Public Relations" who "has...

On Tuesday, the Sunshine State overperformed–and for great reasons.Like many, I was casually surprised when the result started coming through Tuesday night, and we did not see the massive numbers of victories for the Republicans as promised. As Wednesday dawned, many were left perplexed about the very muted results, including me, for a very notable reason. Here in Florida, we had grand expectations about the election and experienced something unique, as it turns out – the Florida Republicans actually overperformed, and therein lies where lessons are derived.Coming into Tuesday, the major races looked to be sewn up, with the only...
