The Antonovsky bridge and the pontoon bridge are gone. Russians seem to have “ended” their withdrawal in that sector. Whoever didn’t flee until now is now stuck, though I suspect that most Russian troops are gone. #Kherson #Ukraine

This is a road bridge, I presume.
So both rail and road bridges are gone.

Where are all those Russian Mobiks? I think they are still on the right side of Dnieper River.

Normally I am inclined to believe Ukrainians blew them up to cut Russians troops off from retreating. But I would not put it past Russian military to do it to their own troops.

I smell a trap. Pull all Ukrainian troups in that area south of the Dnieper, cut them off, then sweep in from the north. I don’t really care who wins, just stop sending my tax money to Ukraine. Let Russian and Ukraine settle their own problems.

Now there’s only one way out and that’s the bridge over the Dnieper Dam, if the Russian forces don’t surrender it will be like shooting fish in a barrel.

I thought all Russian troops were decrepit old men by now since Russia has depleted its resources of males

No problem.

USA taxpayers (and debt holders) will rebuild it.

They can’t sweep in from the north. The Dnieper is too big of a natural barrier to cross again upstream un opposed. Whatever hapless mobikis were left behind in Kherson have been abandoned.

Definitely done by the Russians as these were controlled demolitions. The bridges weren’t in Ukrainian hands.
If it were the Ukrainians you would have seen artillery barrages falling on the bridges.

Btw, the bridges, being fixed targets, were too dangerous to use in a withrawal even for pedestrians or light vehicles, as it seems they have been in range of 155mm and rocket artillery (the dumb kind, not HIMARS) for several days. Thats why the Russians have been relying on ferries.

Opinions on that seem to differ. But there's little to argue about the inadequacy of Russian military leadership and organization. Whatever one believes about the Ukrainian side and Russian motives, the former had six years and a lot of quiet support from NATO to prepare for the next visit from Ivan. And they also, of course, chose wisely which American political family to buy off.

Russia is short of young men, the basis of any labor force. Russia has a labor shortage as it is. Mobilization is a severe economic hit.

It wasnt Ukraine that bought the Bidens, it was Putin.

Just as the Chinese also bought them.

But Biden is just a mentally disabled small time grifter. He’s just a figurehead. Its irrelevant who bought him. He isnt making any decisions.

Yes!!! Both bridges. Twitter is saying the Russians blew it (the roadway at least) up to keep the Ukrainians from pursuing their retreat

Russian sources also claim that in addition to Antonovsky bridge, the Antonovsky railway bridge, which is located slightly upstream, was also blown up
