A Mankato, Minn., man is facing several charges after he allegedly beat a woman so severely that police officers “couldn’t see her eyes.” The suspect, 23-year-old Paul Peter Jal, was “upset” because the victim was “wearing an American flag shirt,” a criminal complaint says. Jal is facing charges of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, third-degree assault, threats of violence, disrupting a 911 call, and damage to property. The complaint says Mankato police responded to an apartment residence around 4:15 a.m. Oct. 2 after 911 received a call from a woman who was “screaming” as a male voice and “thumping...

Even though the pro-life movement sets its goal to save lives, the left will stop at nothing to paint pro-lifers as villains. In Thursday night's Law & Order episode titled “Battle Lines,” numerous anti-life talking points were emphasized. The episode used a murder case of the daughter of a fictional Texas governor to push the abortion narrative, as well as the murder of an abortion activist to paint pro-lifers as the threats in the abortion debate. One scene displayed a conversation between the characters Executive Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price (Hugh Dancy) and District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston). The...

Nowadays when you hear that a reporter covers "misinformation and content moderation" you know they support censorship, although they absolutely hate that ugly but accurate description. And among the reporters with such a job description is Rebecca Kern of Politico. The title of Kern's Wednesday article is also a reflection of her own attitude towards possible big changes coming to Twitter, "Three reasons Washington is freaking out about Elon Musk right now." And the big reason why Washington, and Kern, are freaking out is their fear that Musk will ditch censorship at Twitter.

President Joe Biden signed a classified policy Friday that limits the use of drones for counterterrorism strikes outside of "conventional war zones," The New York Times reports. According to the report, which cites an anonymous "senior administration official," the new policy restrictions were sent to the Pentagon and CIA on Friday that seeks to lower the number of strikes and requires Biden approve of any names added to a "list" of targets that could be in the crosshairs of "direct action." Since taking office in January 2021, Biden has moved to limit drone strikes overseas, ...

President Joe Biden announced on Thursday that he’s pardoning individuals charged with simple marijuana possession on a federal level, but his decision does not affect broad groups of Americans and non-citizens charged with the crime. There’s historical precedent for mass application of the presidential pardon power, but the sheer size of Biden’s pardon list stands out among most recent predecessors. The White House estimates “6,500 people with prior federal convictions” and “thousands of such convictions under (Washington, DC) law could benefit from this relief.”

A powerful truck explosion seriously damaged Russia’s road-and-rail bridge to Crimea on Saturday, hitting a prestigious symbol of Moscow’s annexation of the peninsula and the key supply route to Russian forces battling to hold territory captured in southern Ukraine. The blast on the bridge over the Kerch Strait, for which Russia did not immediately assign blame, prompted gleeful messages from Ukrainian officials but no direct claim of responsibility. Russian investigators said three people had been killed, probably the occupants of a car traveling near the truck that blew up.

Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, delivered a warm congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday, after a week of criticizing how the Ukraine war has been handled. In a stark shift of tone after publicly ridiculing Putin's military amid a series of successful counteroffensives conducted by Kyiv in Ukraine's south and northeast, Kadyrov extended his well wishes to Putin, offering praise and crediting the leader for supporting Chechnya "in the most difficult times." "Russian President Vladimir Putin played a key role in the fate of the Chechen people," he said, adding that Russian leader "saved the republic"...

A liberal political media operation being run out of Washington, D.C., and Florida is pushing left-wing stories in 51 different fake news outlets in order to influence the outcome of the November midterm elections, it is claimed. The allegations came in a shocking new investigation from Axios that was published on Thursday. The report alleges that in the past 12 months, multiple new 'news' website have appeared across the country, all run by a company named Local Report Inc. They do report a wide variety of stories - but sprinkled throughout are news items pushing Democrat lawmakers and policies. Online...

Today the Daily Mail posits itself as having "broken" the story of the Hunter Biden laptop. EXCLUSIVE: Shocking evidence against Hunter Biden revealed: Emails, texts, and photos that could land president's son in federal prison for failure to declare income from foreign business deals and admit he was a drug addict on gun application This follows the Washington Post publication of the same story. Many people have been in the shower when that brilliant, light bulb moment suddenly strikes! It can seem like a strange place to have great ideas, but researchers say “shower thoughts” are pretty common. So, why do so many people get a spark of creativity while washing up? While previous research has suggested that people get more creative when their mind wanders, a new study finds that those mindless tasks (like showering) aren’t so mindless after all.The new study challenges past research that seemed to prove what many scientists thought about letting the mind wander. That study found that when...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 this year, the Kremlin has sought by every means to minimize the reality of war. The description of the invasion as a “special operation” and persecution of anyone who dared call it by any other name is intended to underline the supposedly temporary and limited nature of the armed conflict. It seeks to blur the boundary between war and peace. This principle continued in Vladimir Putin’s speech on September 21, in which he announced a “partial mobilization.” But Ukraine’s fierce resistance has turned the tables. While some Russians have opposed the attack...

This week President Joe Biden suffered another embarrassing blow after OPEC announced a decision to cut oil production just weeks before the 2022 midterm elections. The move was made despite Biden's trip to Saudi Arabia over the summer where he begged for an increase in production. He was ignored. Now, because of Biden's war on domestic oil production and moratoriums on drilling, American energy can't fill the gap and prices at the pump are set to hit new record levels. But while Biden grovels and fails to advance energy polices that benefit the American people, newly minted UK Prime Minister...

Accosted by criticism that his light work schedule as Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor might not be the best preparation for him to assume the duties of a US Senator, John Fetterman pointed out that "Congress only works about half the days of the year. And that so-called work is mostly just hanging around in case there is a bill to be voted on. Look, if a dope like Joe Biden could hack that job for nearly 30 years anyone in America should be considered qualified to handle that job." Fetterman also fended off contentions that his life story does not convey...

Biden called on governors to follow suit and pardon those convicted on similar state charges. He has also instructed Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra and Attorney General Merrick Garland to begin reviewing how marijuana is classified under federal drug laws.

“In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court of Delaware has ruled the state’s mail-in voting and same-day voter registration statutes unconstitutional,” Delaware Live reported. “Neither will be allowed in the Nov. 8 general election.” “The ruling, which came just one day after oral arguments, is a major defeat for Gov. John Carney and Delaware Democrats,” the ruling continued. “In an abbreviated order, the court said the vote-by-mail statute ‘impermissibly expands the categories of absentee voters identified in Article V, Section 4A of the Delaware Constitution’.” “As for the same-day registration statute, the court said it conflicts with Article V, Section...
