The federal government has been working with a group of four private companies to flag supposed election “misinformation” for censorship by social media platforms. Two recent reports, published on Friday and Saturday by Just the News, reveal the group was responsible for the censorship of 20 news outlets during the 2020 election. After Biden was in the White House, Just the News reported, the group was “rewarded” with millions of taxpayer dollars and its work continues today. Most of the targeted groups were right-leaning in their coverage. Those outlets include Just the News, the New York Post, The Epoch Times,...

Few nations have as deep a sense of their own history as the Russians. On the basis of this tendentious tract about historic 'unity' of Russians and Ukrainians that President Putin justified his invasion of an independent neighboring state. But another word, also with great resonance in Russian history, now hangs over the Kremlin's flailing military campaign. And that word is: MUTINY. Remarkably, it was raised on Moscow's main TV channel by the woman described as Putin's propagandist-in-chief, Margarita Simonyan, on the state of the 'special military operation' to a Russian audience. She was raging about the incompetence which Putin's...

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it will no longer be pulling over drivers for non-moving violations. Deputies said they will not be stopping drivers for things like inspection violations, driving with a revoked license, having window tinting that’s too dark or having a taillight out. The sheriff’s office said this change in policy is part of an effort to address racial inequality that they said is apparent in traffic stops. Channel 9′s Glenn Counts spoke with a community activist who is applauding this decision. Robert Dawkins, with Action NC, said officers used minor...

Kati Pannwitz spends her evenings at home alone in a darkened and unheated apartment, watching old movies while worrying about the new reality of life in a country that is being drawn ever closer to the war in Ukraine. Surging inflation and fears about an energy crisis are hitting home for Pannwitz, 34, taking a heavy toll on her finances and the futures of both her and her 17-year-old son. No more vacations, no more trips abroad, no more going out, no more saving and an outlook that has grown increasingly bleak for Pannwitz — and millions of fellow Germans...

Scores of Venezuelan migrants in New York City are hopping on vans to head down to Florida for Hurricane Ian clean-up, they told The Post. The migrants had scant information about whom they would be working for, but they still piled into vans in Queens that they said were headed to the Sunshine State over the weekend. “They want us for hurricane cleanup, we’d get paid $15 an hour, overtime and $15 for food daily, I think,” said Javier Moreno, 37, noting that a woman named Camila “from an organization” approached him with a flier.

Just 39 percent of registered voters approve of President Joe Biden 36 days away from the midterm election, a Civiqs poll found Monday. A majority (52 percent) of respondents disapproved of Biden, a high number for the leader of the Democrat Party desperate to hold the House and Senate come November. A presidential approval rating is a bellwether for how the president’s party performs in the midterms.

It is less than 24 hours since it was captured by the Ukrainian army as we crossed the city limits into Lyman in the Donetsk region on Sunday. The Ukrainian flag flies in the autumn wind on the town sign. The thunder of artillery can be heard from afar, the war continues with full severity, especially in the Donbas region. Corpses, destruction, despair - the full horror of war can be seen in the liberated city. When you see the young dead Russian soldiers lying on the streets of Lyman , you are reminded of the consequences of this war...

Ukrainian forces are advancing in the south and may have scored a major breakthrough of Russian lines as they also take more territory in the east. Kyiv's troops are attacking down the west bank of the Dnipro River and have taken the town of Zolota Balka, it was reported Monday, amid claims from pro-Kremlin sources that troops had retreated as far as Dudchany, around 15 miles further south. Kyiv's commanders saying troops are now attacking the town of Kreminna, in neighbouring Luhansk. However, pro-Russia military bloggers were far more pessimistic - claiming Ukraine had scored a major breakthrough of the...

Joe Biden’s cognitive deficits are increasingly apparent, even to the most amateur observer. Whether he has dementia at this point is immaterial. Half the world thinks he does and that weakens the United States and imperils us all. Whether he is falling up the stairs of Air Force One or falling off a stationary bike, whether he is wandering around on stage in a fog or clutching cheat sheets designed for a 4-year-old, whether he is shouting incoherently or whispering creepily, the optics are shocking. With his 80th birthday approaching next month, even if most Americans are too polite or...

United Nations World Food Program Executive Director David Beasley is saying the perfect storm has arrived. “A perfect storm on top of a perfect storm,” Beasley recently said, has reached our doorstep. Beasley is urging people to donate to the UN, particularly Gulf nations and billionaires, asking them to give a few days of profits to tackle a crisis with the fertilizer supply right now and prevent widespread food shortages next year. “Otherwise, there’s gonna be chaos all over the world,” World Food Program Executive Director David Beasley said in an Associated Press interview. Yet this chaos isn’t going to...

Actor Billy Eichner has spent years smearing conservatives and Republicans, attacking Christianity, and lashing out at just about anybody who disagrees with him politically. The star of Disney’s The Lion King just watched his $22 million LGBTQ romantic comedy make an abysmal $4 million in its Box Office debut over the weekend. In response to the film’s poor performance, an angry Eichner appears to blame (at least) two things: homophobia and “straight people in a certain parts of the country.” The film, trumpeted as Hollywood’s first major gay romcom, initially received enthusiastic acclaim from critics but has been largely ignored...

WASHINGTON, Thursday, Oct. 2. ADDRESS to the President of the United States, adopted a a meeting of Governors of the loyal States, held to take measures for the more active support of the Government, at Altoona, Penn., on the 24th day of September, 1862. After nearly one year and a half spent in contest with an armed and gigantic rebellion against the National Government of the United States, the duty and purpose of the loyal States and people continue, and must always remain, as they were at its origin, namely: to restore and perpetuate the authority of this Government and...

LONDON — The British government has dropped plans to cut income tax for top earners, part of a package of unfunded cuts that sparked turmoil on financial markets and sent the pound to record lows. Treasury chief Kwasi Kwarteng said Monday that he will not scrap the top 45% rate of income tax paid on earnings above 150,000 pounds ($167,000) a year. “We get it, and we have listened,” he said in a statement. The U-turn comes as more lawmakers from the governing Conservative Party turn on government tax plans announced 10 days ago. It also comes hours after the...

Italy has spoken. And the White House and the media don’t like it. Politico White House bureau chief Jonathan Lemire claimed that the election of "far-right" Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was met with "deep, if private, worry within President Joe Biden’s administration." Going further in Politico, Lemire wrote that despite the White House’s acceptance of Meloni’s win, they view her recent victory as part of a "concerning trend" of "right-wing wins" in Europe. Concern for the White House means jubilation for most of the rest of us. It’s so bad that the media is invoking the F-word. Not the...

The United States obsesses over whether biological men can compete in women’s sports as transgender females. Crime is spiking at levels not seen in 40 years. But some consider it racist to suggest that arrests, indictments, convictions, and incarcerations deter crime. Major U.S. downtowns almost overnight went from mostly safe and clean to terrifying and toxic — and we brag that we are at least “tolerant” of the medieval conditions. The Pentagon and CIA put out recruitment videos that sound like kindergarten diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. Yet the military is less eager to explain why the United States met...

So how does it all end, and Russian, Ukrainian, European and U.S. agendas become compatible? It doesn’t, and they won’t. For all the dramatic late-summer Ukrainian success, we are witnessing yet another deadlock in the war—one that supposedly will be resolved by escalations on all sides. Mutually Exclusive Agendas A rebooted Ukraine is clamoring for more offensive arms. It claims it can win the war, with victory now giddily defined as sending every Russian back home in disgrace. Russia is screaming threats about using nuclear weapons—though how Vladimir Putin would use them remains in dispute. Putin is ominously no longer...

With less than 40 days until Election Day, much attention is being directed toward the US Senate races in Georgia and Pennsylvania. Yet, out west, Democrats are struggling, and one key voter group keeps them up at night, which could impact the party’s performance this cycle. In Nevada, there are troubling signs that a horde of Latino voters could sit this election out. They’re unhappy about the economy and the quality of the job opportunities—which runs counter to the Biden White House’s narrative that this is the most incredible economic recovery of all time. Some operatives are increasingly anxious on...
