In recent months, I’ve dedicated many articles to exposing the intentional destruction of our food system. The decision of the Dutch government to impose nitrogen pollution restrictions on farmers is but one example of this. This “green” policy will cut livestock production in the country by 30% in the next year, put farmers out of business, and force them to sell their land. Since The Netherlands is the largest meat exporter in the European Union,1 it will also result in meat shortages around the world. According to Dutch Parliament member Thierry Baudet,2 this “green” policy is really a thinly veiled...

There are many things fishy about the search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Largo house on Monday. First, the former president had been cooperating since he left office with the National Archives and the Justice Department regarding documents taken there by Trump during his presidency. The Archives took 15 boxes of documents, mementos, and keepsakes from Trump’s house last January. A “person familiar” with the list of items removed from Mar-a-Largo says “items that were improperly taken to Mar-a-Lago include a cocktail napkin, a phone list, charts, slide decks, letters, memos, maps, talking points, a birthday dinner menu, schedules and more.” There...

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said Attorney General Merrick Garland must step down or be impeached following the raid on former President Donald Trump’s home. “At a minimum, Garland must resign or be impeached. The search warrant must be published. Christopher Wray must be removed. And the FBI reformed top to bottom,” he wrote in a social media post Tuesday:

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — Though the vote tally is not final, GOP challenger Joe Kent has taken a lead of 960 votes over incumbent Jaime Herrera Beutler in the race for second place in the Washington 3rd Congressional District primary. Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez remains solidly in the lead by around 17,000 votes. Since Washington primaries select the top two finishers regardless of party affiliation, the candidate who places second will face Perez in the November election.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Americans may finally be catching a break from relentlessly surging prices — if just a slight one — even as inflation is expected to remain painfully high for months. Thanks largely to falling gas prices, the government’s inflation report for July, to be released Wednesday morning, is expected to show that prices jumped 8.7% from a year earlier — still a sizzling pace but a slowdown from the 9.1% year-over-year figure in June. President Joe Biden has already pointed to falling gas prices as a sign that his policies — such as releases of oil from the...

Cubans living in Matanzas continue to deal with a raging fire at the Matanzas Supertanker Base, as a third oil tank exploded yesterday. At around 1:30 p.m. yesterday, Cubans across the island witnessed an explosion live on national television. From afar, many said they could feel the heat from the flames coming from the oil storage facility. Several tanks have collapsed and fires continue to burn at the large oil storage facility, which is about 60 miles from Havana. Since the fire started on Saturday, nearly 5,000 people have been evacuated.

Mehmet Oz, the Republican candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania, blasts President Joe Biden’s FBI and Department of Justice for the Monday raid on former President Donald Trump’s estate in Florida. Oz made his comments in a Tuesday morning tweet: "America is bitterly divided, & what Pres. Biden’s FBI and DOJ did last night will only make things worse. Americans have every right to be upset & demand answers on why this raid happened in the most aggressive action taken against a former president ever in our nation’s history."

The torrent of outrage from Donald Trump's supporters on Tuesday has been predictable. Of course they were going to vent their fury after FBI agents searched the former president's home. It plays straight into the narrative Mr Trump himself perpetuates that he is a victim of a corrupt establishment. As he likes to say at his rallies, no political leader has ever been treated as badly as he has. In fact, the FBI search Mr Trump has called a "raid" is helping to solidify his campaign of grievances against the state. Listening to the gist of what his supporters are...

“This guy Garland goes after parents. He goes after Republican state legislatures, he goes after states he disagrees with their abortion positions, he doesn't do a thing to protect the border, which is compelled by the Constitution. Nothing. So let's be clear. Newt is right, they are all right. This is the worst attack on this republic in modern history. Period.”

First Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden will be introducing National Geographic’s latest series “America’s National Parks,” set to premiere Aug. 29. Narrated by Garth Brooks, the five-part docuseries celebrates the world-famous and lesser-known national parks across the U.S., from Yosemite to Big Bend National Park. The series will first be introduced by Dr. Biden from the Grand Canyon. “America’s national parks are full of unrivaled natural beauty, geological wonders, cultural history and amazing wildlife,” Dr. Biden said as part of her introduction to the series. “Each national park connects people to a piece of the American story...

There’s a lot of mystery in “Forensic Files,” but not too much behind the decision by the cable network that airs the series to keep it going longer. CNN has renewed its license with the long-running series’ original producer, Medstar, to produce new episodes of “Forensic Files II” through 2024, according to Nancy Duffy, senior vice president of program development for CNN, and executive producer of the series. “It’s a real binge-worthy kind of vehicle,” she says, in an interview — and fares well in both linear showings and on the streaming platforms of parent company Warner Bros. Discovery. HLN...

[Catholic Caucus] What Does “Full Communion” Mean? — Of Ecclesial Insults and Injuries This article appeared in French as Letter 878 of Paix Liturgique. It has been translated for Rorate Caeli. The ecumenism of Vatican II is based on the affirmation that our separated brothers and sisters are "in imperfect communion" with the Church and with Christ (Unitatis redintegratio, n. 3). This is a colossal novelty, for one is or is not in communion with Christ through faith, just as one is or is not in a state of grace through charity. By this subterfuge the separated become semi-Catholics, which...

Large crowds packed Pacifica's Linda Mar Beach Saturday for the World Dog Surfing Championships. People watched man's best friend ride some waves. Fans of the event said the dogs look silly, but they were also very impressive. "I like the gathering. It is a big event. A lot of people from all over come and join us. And then, seeing the dogs actually surf is really a funny thing to watch. And they're really good surfers," said Patrick Sayres of Pacifica. The event at the beach also had mobile pet adoptions, a dog costume contest and "yappy hour" for drinks....

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) this week said he is “deeply contemplating” busing New Yorkers to Texas to knock on doors in retaliation for Gov. Greg Abbott (R) sending busloads of illegal immigrants to the blue sanctuary city. “I already called all of my friends in Texas and told them how to cast their vote,” he said during a Tuesday press conference. “And I am deeply contemplating taking a busload of new Yorkers to go to Texas and do some good old-fashioned door knocking, because we have to for the good of America,” Adams said. “We have to...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped Chinese President Xi Jinping as a “scared bully” on Tuesday, before mistakenly claiming in a separate interview that Beijing fosters “one of the freest societies in the world.” “We still support the One China policy. We go there to acknowledge the status quo is what our policy is. There was nothing disruptive about that,” Pelosi said. “It was only about saying China is one of the freest societies in the world,” she added. “Don’t take it from me, that’s from Freedom House.” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, later clarified that the speaker made...

Various unclassified items were taken from former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in a previous search. Prior to the FBI raid of Trump’s residence on Monday, the National Archives and Records Administration retrieved various items from Mar-a-Lago. The search, which occurred in January, resulted in several boxes of documents being retrieved from Trump’s home. An anonymous source told the Washington Post that a variety of different items were taken from the Trump residence in Mar-a-Lago, claiming that the list of unclassified items that were taken is roughly 100 pages long. The Washington Post noted that “items that were improperly taken to...

“‘But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’—then He said to the paralytic, ‘Get up, pick up your bed and go home.’ And he got up and went home” (Matthew 9:6–7). It’s not unheard of for people to trap themselves by their own theology and logic. That’s what happened with the scribes and Pharisees during this episode. They believed that disease and physical suffering were results of sin, and that removing the disease would equate with removing the sin that caused it. By that reasoning, all healing would have to...

King David knew that there had to be more to knowing God; he sensed there was something of the Lord he hadn’t obtained, and he would not rest until he found it. “One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord” (Psalm 27:4, NKJV). In short, he was saying, “There is a beauty, a glory, an excitement about the Lord that I haven’t yet seen in my life. I want to know what it’s...
