The personal consumption expenditures price index rose 6.8% in June, the biggest 12-month move since the 6.9% increase in January 1982. The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has written a letter to the World Health Organization asking it to change the name of the disease “monkeypox” because it “stigmatizes” gay men. Shortly after midnight, several suspects fired an estimated 100 rounds of automatic gunfire into the back parking lot of the Minneapolis Police 4th Precinct, striking the precinct, as well as residences and cars in the area.
