Recording made in 1947 when he was 101 years old as an oral history of the American Civil War, (or the War Between the States, as it is known in South). This man joined the 24th Virginia Calvary in 1862 at the age of 16 and and half. He was eventually taken prisoner in the Spring of 1965 at what must have been the Battle of Hillsman's House since her refers to Gen. Ewell's surrender. He was held at Point Lookout, Maryland until the end of the war. He is quite emphatic that the South didn't fight for "the preservation...

From the outset of Russia’s invasion in February of this year, Western elites have bestowed upon Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a level of adulation that few (if any) leaders have enjoyed. Zelensky’s political rock star tour began with a speech to the European Parliament on March 1. He spoke with the United States Congress on March 16. By April 5, he had spoken to the Parliaments of seventeen other nations — all of them closely allied with the United States. Zelensky’s tour hit a snag on April 8. On that day, Zelensky caused an uproar among Greeks when he shared...

During a recent broadcast of Sunday Morning Futures, one in which Bartiromo’s guest, current Texas GOP Representative and former White House physician Ronny Jackson, suggested that Biden has a cognitive disease that’s rendering him gradually more and more mentally unfit for office, Bartiromo herself made a couple of major claims about what’s going on in the Biden White House. Particularly, she insinuated both that former President Barack Obama is involved in running the Biden White House and that the Democrats are having to keep Biden on a supply of drugs to get him functional when he’s out in public. Speaking...

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - On Monday afternoon, a West Virginia circuit judge granted a preliminary injunction blocking the enforcement of West Virginia’s 1800s-era criminal abortion ban. As a result, abortions are once again legal in the Mountain State. This case pits the Women’s Health Center of West Virginia against the State of West Virginia. The ACLU, on behalf of the Health Center, was seeking an injunction to stop the enforcement of the 100-year-old law that criminalized abortion in West Virginia. The ACLU argues the state’s criminal abortion statute cannot co-exist with modern laws passed since Roe V. Wade. That includes...

It has been a busy time for solar activity. Back in March of 2022, Earth was hit by separate geomagnetic storms, according to government weather agencies in the U.S. and the U.K. Though the geomagnetic storms likely didn't cause any harm, they brought into focus the potential harm that could come from more powerful storms in the future. Then earlier this month, a G1-class geomagnetic storm hit the Earth, causing bright auroras over Canada. The only problem is that nobody saw this storm coming until it was quite late. Five days ago, a giant sunspot and filaments on the solar...

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran on Tuesday, the Russian state-owned news agency RIA reported Monday, citing spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. BERLIN (AP) — Officials from 40 countries met Monday in Berlin to discuss how to stay focused on fighting the increasing impacts of climate change while the world reels from the economic fallout of the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The U.N. secretary general admonished countries to take action instead of playing a “blame game.” U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned that the global warming limit of 1.5 Celsius (2.7 Fahrenheit) agreed in the 2015 Paris climate accord was slipping further out of reach. “No nation is immune,” he said. “Yet we continue to feed our fossil fuel addiction.”...

China’s Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL) is reportedly looking at a minimum of two locations for future battery factories in Mexico. Reports claim that the upcoming facilities will be built to provide batteries for both Tesla and Ford. While most global automakers are now moving forward with EVs, Tesla is still the global leader, and Ford is considered by many – including Tesla CEO Elon Musk – as an emerging leader in the segment.

If you believe only 5% of all Twitter accounts are spam or fake, boy HOWDY do we have a bridge to sell you. And that’s, of course, what Twitter has been trying to sell Elon Musk … and why he is trying to walk away now. He asked them to provide information showing he wasn’t buying a bunch of fake users.

KYIV, Ukraine—Russia ordered its forces to target the long-range missiles and artillery weapons that Western countries have recently supplied to Ukraine, a sign of how Kyiv’s additional firepower has begun to reshape the conflict. A recent shipment of advanced Western weapons has reinforced Ukraine’s efforts to fend off Russia’s invasion. Whether those weapons will enable Kyiv to turn the tide remains unclear,...
