Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) has managed some rare feats. He’s been accused by Senate GOP leadership of hurting the party’s chances in the midterm elections while at the same time presiding over a campaign fundraising haul for the party so large that leadership has no choice but to celebrate it. He’s united Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and President Joe Biden in opposition to his agenda. And the former Florida governor and current chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee has worked to position himself as an outsider that would presumably accompany an ultimate insider.

It seems as if Maher Abdel Qader of the Palestinian American Congress is everywhere. He knows everyone, at least in the Democrat Party, and has a hand in everything. He is close to Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Ramallah) and Cori Bush (D-Race Hate Hysteria), as well as a prominent former congressman, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. Abdel Qader has also hosted numerous fundraisers for New York City Mayor Eric Adams and was part of a committee putting together a fundraiser for Jesse Jackson’s son Jonathan Jackson, who is running for the House in Illinois. There are lots of well-connected, well-heeled people...

Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh (sexual desires), but serve one another through love. Galatians 5:14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:15 But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another. Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Galatians 5:17 For the desire of the flesh...

When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell voted for the most significant gun violence prevention bill in nearly three decades, he offered a candid explanation for his turnaround after decades of opposing firearm restrictions. “It’s no secret that we’ve lost ground in suburban areas. We pretty much own rural and small-town America. And I think this is a sensible solution to the problem before us, which is school safety and mental health,” McConnell told reporters. “And yes, I hope it will be viewed favorably by voters in the suburbs that we need to regain in order to hopefully be a majority...

WASHINGTON, Thursday, July 3 -- 3:12 P.M. A dispatch from Gen. MCCLELLAN, just received at the War Department, dated "From Berkley, Harrison's Bar, July 2, 5:30 P.M.," states that he has succeeded in getting his army to that place, on the banks of the James River, and had lost but one gun, which had to be abandoned last night, (Tuesday,) because it broke down; that an hour and half age the rear of the wagon train was within a mile of the camp, and only one wagon abandoned; that we had a severe battle yesterday (Tuesday,) that we beat the...

Mendon, Missouri. Population 171. There’s really nothing here. The tiny town is located off Route 11, just south of Yellow Creek. You’re three hours west of Saint Louis, two hours east of Kansas City. It’s quiet. No attractions. No major landmarks. Nobody famous ever lived here unless you count Vern Kennedy, right-hander for the White Sox, circa 1934. If you’re looking for entertainment in Mendon, your main option is Busch Light. But you’ll have to drive all the way to Brunswick to find a liquor store. “We are just country folk,” said Mendon native Carol Ann Wamsley, “and that’s what...

California's Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom marked the July Fourth holiday by unveiling a campaign ad set to air on Fox News in which he speaks about freedom, amid images of skyrocketing fireworks and the Statue of Liberty, with strains of "America the Beautiful" softly strumming on the guitar.

The Biden Administration blames everyone else for the highest inflation in 40 years (like Russia), everyone other than themselves, of course. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos got it right — massive Federal spending (too much stimulus pumped into markets in a short period of time) is a major inflation culprit. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took aim at President Biden, arguing the Biden administration’s “misdirection” is harmful to the country while pinning the blame for inflation on the president. “In fact, the administration tried hard to inject even more stimulus into an already over-heated, inflationary economy and only Manchin saved them from themselves,”...

Hamburg, the largest non-capital city in the European Union, has warned that it could ration be forced to hot water as the Russian energy crisis causes chaos.Jens Kerstan, environment senator for Germany's second biggest city, told German newspaper Welt am Sonntag on Saturday that Hamburg could restrict availability of hot water to certain times of days "in an acute gas shortage.""We are in a much worse crisis than most people realize," Kerstan said in a separate interview with the Hamburger Abendblatt on Sunday. He urged people to take shorter showers, avoid full baths, and install modern thermostats and water-saving shower...

With a Fourth of July resolve we would do well to remember that the Washington elite and the administrative state that serves it can only be defeated when the people arise against it. In practice, American politics has always feared but in theory sanctioned slave revolts. Slave revolts are denounced, at least by implication, in the Declaration of Independence itself. The charges against the King culminate in this: “He has excited domestic Insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the Inhabitants of our Frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known Rule of Warfare, is an undistinguished Destruction, of...

The Bible In Paintings 2 ENCOURAGEMENT FOR APPRECIATING AND APPLYING GOD'S MESSAGE 2nd KINGS CHAPTER 11 In the seventh year Jehoiada sent for the commanders of the guards. He made a covenant with them and put them under oath at the temple of the LORD. Then he showed them the king’s son. He commanded them, saying, “This is what you are to do: You are all to guard the temple for the king. Station yourselves around the king, each man with his weapon in his hand. Anyone who approaches your ranks must be put to death. Stay close to...

VIDEOWho are you going to believe? Someone with a cold, calculating, reptilian soul such as Hilary Clinton who has very convenient politically motivated memories of Clarence Thomas from over 50 years ago or Justice Sonia Sotomayor who has been working with Justice Thomas at close hand ever since she entered the Supreme Court? Despite their wide political differences, Sotomayor has a much different view of Thomas than Hillary who seems to AGAIN be running for something.

IPray For The Peace of JerusalemGenesis 30Jacob’s Flocks Increase 25 After Rachel gave birth to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Send me on my way so I can go back to my own homeland. 26 Give me my wives and children, for whom I have served you, and I will be on my way. You know how much work I’ve done for you.” 27 But Laban said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay. I have learned by divination that the Lord has blessed me because of you.” 28 He added, “Name your wages, and...

The liberal site Salon published an article Sunday that argued that President Biden is similar to two of the Founding Fathers. The article, titled "How Joe Biden is like America's Founding Fathers - and no, I'm not kidding," argued how Biden "has great ideas" but is not able to execute on them like former Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Salon writer Matthew Rozsa, wrote that if Biden's presidency goes in the same direction it has thus far, he will be remembered as a "visionary, at least on certain domestic policy issues, who was largely ignored by his peers."

In truth, “insurrection” has been fueled by the Left since 2015. or 120 days in summer 2020, violent protesters destroyed some $2 billion in property and injured 1,500 police officers in riots that led to over 35 deaths. Because blue-state mayors and governors saw BLM and Antifa instigators as useful street soldiers, most of those arrested were never tried in court. Street thugs paid no price for declaring themselves de facto owners of downtown areas of Seattle, which police themselves conceded were no-go zones. Why did public officials in blue states ignore the violence? They were certain that it enjoyed...

Every area of the U.S. could be in danger of experiencing power outages this summer amid a push to convert to renewable energy sources while taking traditional sources of power offline. "I think the entire country is incredibly vulnerable, because the entire country is facing a huge energy shortage and I don’t think there is any place that is truly safe," Daniel Turner, founder and executive director at Power the Future, told Fox News. At issue are blackouts that could become widespread across the country this summer as grid operators struggle to meet the increased demand, a problem that has...

ISTANBUL (AP) — Annual inflation in Turkey hit 78.62% in June, the highest rate since 1998, according to official data released Monday. The Turkish Statistical Institute, or TurkStat, released the monthly figures as Turkey is experiencing a deepening cost-of-living crisis. Consumer prices rose by 4.95% on a monthly basis, the institute reported. Turkey’s central bank had cut rates by 5 percentage points since September, to 14%, before pausing the cuts in January. The Turkish lira lost 44% of its value against the U.S. dollar last year. The sharpest increases in annual prices were in the transportation sector, at 123.37%, followed...

A friend and I play a game—he reads a headline and I try to guess whether it’s real or from the Babylon Bee. With each year, my guesses are less accurate. The latest headline that stymied me was this one: “Health Officials delay meeting because ‘urgency is a white supremacy value.’” The Bee, I guessed. Wrong! In today’s crazy world, that was a real headline. This particular headline came from Twitchy, but you’ll see variations of it across the conservative internet as normal people once again struggle to understand how the left side of the nation went completely bonkers. The...
