The Supreme Court opinion on the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen was released on June 22, 2022. It is a 6 to 3 opinion, which upholds the Second Amendment as applying outside the home and rebukes Circuit Courts for creating an unnecessarily complicated two step process in applying Second Amendment protection to statutes. The opinion is 135 pages long. Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the majority opinion, which was joined by Justice Alito, Justices Kavanaugh and Roberts, and Justice Barrett in concurring opinions. Justice Alito and Barrett concur in full. Justices Kavanaugh and Roberts simply concur. The opinion...

Democrats infiltrating the Republican Party is nothing new, but one group has the solution. Last week, audio released by Project Veritas documented a South Carolina Democrat conniving to secure local elections via duplicitous means. Among other things, Krystle Matthews said, “We need some secret sleepers. Like you need, we need them to run as [sic] the other side, even though they for [sic] our side. We need people to run as Republicans in these local elections.” The recording shocked many of the listeners – but it shouldn’t have. The Republican Party remains hopelessly infiltrated, and the Establishment is keen to...

LOS ANGELES - Kevin Ford, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada is a man of grace and humility. He’s been working as a cook and a cashier at the Burger King in the city’s McCarran International Airport for the past 27 years. Ford said he’s never missed a day of work in that time. When he showed up to work earlier last week on the 27th anniversary of his employment, he didn’t make a big deal about it and not even his bosses were aware of the commemoration. But when he made a joke about the time he’s spent employed, management...

Save Independence Day. It is clear to me that the left has embarked on a campaign to reduce Independence Day to nothing more than a meaningless "holiday". The push is to elevate Juneteenth to a holiday that is more meaningful. Over the last week I have noticed a concerted effort in the media to downplay Independence Day. Even a lot of conservative people are referring to it as the Fourth of July. Push back against this movement and only refer to it as Independence Day. Remember, those that control the language control the battle sphere.

These endless crises sure are convenient for a globalist agenda, are we being played? COVID-19, Joe Biden, and Russian-Ukrainian ‘crises’ are pages from the same playbook written by an international clique that controls both sides. This global cartel presented us, the American public, with a false dichotomy. Either stand with their 21st Century perversion of our country of which we were once proud, or surrender our morally-ruined nation to the adversary of their choosing. America is a nation in decline, and for that reason we saw the installation of Joe Biden. He is the demented old face of a bygone...

We as a nation are at that defining moment when one side has to win and the other lose; there is no middle ground. Not since the decade leading up to the Civil War has there been as much discussion about the possibility of the United States splitting into two or more countries as there has been in the past 10 years. The reality is that this nation has effectively split into two countries which are, for the moment, tenuously living side-by-side. Race or ethnicity has been the underlying foundation in the creation of every nation in the history of...

Summary/overview Since June 26, the noise from the Bavarian Alps (G7) and Madrid (NATO), mainly from the mouths of the same principal actors, has drowned out (as, one suspects, it was designed to do) much of reality, whether on the ground in Ukraine or, more importantly, in the global economy. I address some of those issues in the assessment below. In the Donbas, as is evident from the map, Russian troops are now in control of all territory east of the Donets River and the fighting for Lysychansk appears to be evolving faster than the capture of Severodonetsk. The main...

To avoid the worst consequences of climate change — worsening extreme weather, irreversible ecosystem shifts, loss of life and economic hardship — scientists say the world must limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. The only way to do that, they say, is by making deep cuts to fossil fuel emissions. New research quantifies exactly what it would take: keeping a vast majority of Earth’s remaining fossil fuels tucked underground. The study, published in the journal Nature on Wednesday, found that nearly 60% of the planet’s remaining oil and natural gas and 90% of its coal reserves...

Maeve Jacqueline Nota, 31, was recorded smashing one of two doors with a rock in front of a pastoral office at St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue before throwing and kicking broken glass into the building, according to surveillance footage. 'Religion of hate,' 'go to your fake hell,' 'groomers,' 'rapists,' 'woman haters,' and a spray-painted message calling Catholics 'liars' were pictured on social media. Bellevue Police Captain Darryl McKinney said Nota's actions would be classified under a hate crime statute and that he damaged $100,000 of property. The suspect is also facing more charges for assaulting the St Louise's Catholic...

It feels like Nexstar has been flirting with buying The CW for longer than some of the broadcast network’s viewers have been alive. The acquisition, which two individuals told IndieWire is likely to close next week after the Fourth of July holiday, will cost Nexstar all of $0 for 75 percent of The CW. Pretty sweet deal, right? It becomes a little more sour when factoring in The CW’s current losses, which sources who spoke with The Wall Street Journal, the publication that first reported details on this round of negotiations, said could exceed $100 million. But that’s the burden...

This was posted from a different source a few days ago (https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4074325/posts)... just wanted to point out one aspect of the whole deal: "Thousands of people in several other countries, including Japan, Canada and the US, were also infected in the 1970s. Some of them sued the companies that supplied the infected products and were paid millions of dollars. Several countries have convicted government officials and suppliers."

The chairman of the attorneys chamber in Russia's Republic of Udmurtia, Dmitry Talantov, has been sent to pretrial detention over his criticism of the Kremlin for its ongoing unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The Cheryomushki district court in Moscow ruled on June 29 that Talantov must stay in pretrial detention until at least August 21. Talantov was detained in the Udmurt capital, Izhevsk, on June 28 and transferred to Moscow after he criticized the government and military forces over a deadly strike on a shopping mall in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk. Talantov has been accused of distributing false information about...

The Conversation) — Since the first indications that the U.S. Supreme Court could overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling, following a leaked draft opinion on May 2, 2022, religious leaders from many denominations have been working to preserve access to abortion care, even as others prayed for Roe to indeed be overruled. A minister in Texas was among those working on coordinating abortion care, including flying women to New Mexico to get abortions. Religious communities in the U.S. have long been divided over the issue of abortion. A 2017 Pew Research Center survey found that 57% of Americans were...

Good Morning America falsely called Ketanji Brown Jackson the “first Black Supreme Court Justice in US History” in titles to videos posted on multiple social media platforms, where the ABC television show has millions of subscribers and followers. GMA made the untrue statement in the title of a YouTube video to its 4.08 million subscribers, which read: “Ketanji Brown Jackson sworn in as first Black Supreme Court justice in US history.” The same title accompanied the video on GMA’s Twitter account, which has 3.7 million followers. In reality, the late Thurgood Marshall was the first black justice and was succeeded...
